Refaeli
Bar Refaeli is born on 4th June 1985. She is an Israeli model and occasional
actress. She was the cover model of the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue
and was voted #1 on Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list of 2012.
Refaeli was born into an secular Jewish family, in Hod HaSharon, Israel. Her
parents, Rafael and Tzipi, own a horse ranch. Her parents were born in Israel,
and her grandparents came from Italy, Lithuania, and Poland. Her mother was a
successful model in the 1970s under her maiden name, Tzipi Levine. Refaeli has
three brothers.
Refaeli began a modeling career at the age of eight months, appearing in
commercials. Refaeli had to wear braces in her early years, interrupting her
modeling until age 15, when she returned to modeling. She was featured in
campaigns for the fashion brands Castro and Pilpel, also starring in a
commercial for Milky. Refaeli won the title "Model of The Year" in an Israeli
beauty contest in 2000.
Refaeli has appeared in ELLE (France), Maxim, and GQ (Italy). She debuted in the
2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, becoming the first Israeli model to
appear in the magazine, posing with rock band Aerosmith. In 2009, Refaeli was
the covermodel for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. A photo from the
shoot, featuring a bikini-clad Refaeli, was painted on the side of a Boeing 737
in a promotional deal with Southwest Airlines, leading to criticism of Southwest
from passengers for using an image they regarded as inappropriately sexual and
"offensive to families". In October of the same year, Refaeli was again
embroiled in controversy, when Haredi groups criticised a Tel Aviv billboard
campaign in which she appeared semi-nude, alleging that it could "poison" the
public. The billboards were subsequently removed. She has modeled for Subaru,
Accessorize, Brazilian clothing line Besni, Italian jewelry line Marco Bicego,
and Rampage. In 2009 she modeled for Garnier International.
Israeli model Bar Refaeli insists that resistance training and the odd treat is
the secret behind her killer bod. �I like eating healthily but if I�m craving
I�ll have it, just not every day,� she revealed. �My main workout is TRX
(working with your own body weight) which really tones the body. I can�t do the
Yoga stuff, it bores me.
Bar Refaeli is perhaps one of the few models of today that can boast an
extremely athletic figure, as well as the ability to eat whatever she wants and
just work out a bit more to burn the extra calories. Models usually claim they
don�t diet or starve themselves, attributing their skinny frame to good genes:
far from doing that, in the latest Hello print edition (story via here), Bar
advocates for a healthy lifestyle, stressing that confidence has everything to
do with one�s approach to fitness.
As fans must know, this is not the first time that the successful model speaks
of how she personally holds that every woman out there should approach the issue
of her weight � and losing weight in particular � not in relation to what others
say or do, but solely keeping in mind their overall health.
There's no denying that the fashion industry is fickle, with younger models
constantly usurping each other.
 But Bar Refaeli has proved that there's no one to rival her just yet, showing
off her supermodel credentials in newly released campaign shots for the Escada�s
new Especially Escada Elixir fragrance.
With her trademark blonde hair blowing out behind her and wearing a billowing
chiffon gown, the 27-year-old is pictured walking through a plush green garden
in the new shoot.
The fun-loving star, who has been modelling since she was a baby, proved that
she's still got that same star power that she's always had and is still
attracting the big name contracts.
Bar has recently been announced as the new face of the brand's fragrance, which
is a re-working of the popular Especially Escada, which launched in 2011.
And showing just how versatile she is, the Sports Illustrated cover girl ditched
her usual sultry image in favour of an ethereal and elegant look.
While she's better know for posing in her swimwear, Bar managed to look just as
striking in the floor-length pink gown, covering up her famous figure entirely.
In the new snap, the catwalk star carries a pair of gold stilettos in one hand
as she turns to look back at the camera from over her shoulder.
The jet-setting model has been spending time in her native Israel over the last
few weeks, making the most of catching up with friends and family.
And the supermodel has been keeping her fans in the loop when it comes to her
lifestyle, tweeting pictures of her trip back home for all of her followers to
see.
In one inexplicable snap, Bar is wearing a pink Superwoman cape, under the
caption: 'Who run the world? GIRLS!'
A few days before she showed off her more active side as she posted a photo of
herself running into the sea with a surfboard, writing: 'Surf up.'
On Saturday the star - who is clearly enjoying her time in Tel Aviv - posted a
steamy but artistic topless photograph of herself on a beach.
The blonde-haired baby did her first modelling work at just eight-months-old.
After a break while she wore braces on her teeth she resumed modelling at 15 and
was immediately featured in campaigns for the fashion brands Castro and Pilpel,
also starring in a commercial for Milky.
Bar Refaeli made us all envious this weekend as she posted this hot bikini
picture on Twitter.The Israelian model showed off her toned tummy and cleavage
as she looked the picture of happiness during her day at the beach. The
27-year-old beauty posed with her arms above her head in a frilly lilac bikini
that emphasised her curves.
Enjoying the sunny day, Bar wrote: "A day at the beach #israel #sun #summer
#live #love #laugh". Leonardo Dicaprio's ex-girlfriend also posted an up-close
picture as a lady bird landed on her nose. She said: "A lady bug landed on my
face today.. #GoodLuck". The blonde hottie also showed off her natural beauty as
she went without make-up for the shot revealing her freckled nose. ABOVE: The
