Clinique's global make up artist Jenna Menard recently brought to display an
exciting wearable eye
make-up trend for 2014-
dimensional eye, a multi-step look that can be achieved with a 4 shade palette
alone. The result is a gorgeous gradation of colour that dramatically draws
attention to the eye.
Here's what you need and how to apply -
-
Preparing the lid with a cream base or eye
shadow primer is your best
bet. Begin by applying the primer across the lid using the doe foot wand and
blend with finger.
-
Starting in the center of the lid, blend Shade 2 from the lash line to
the crease making sure to blend in both directions. Use the Eye Shader brush
to deepen the intensity of Shade 2 at the outer corner of the eye. Apply
shadow only to one edge of the Eye Shader brush to get a more precise
application.
-
Using the Eye Contour Brush, pat Shade 3 into the inner corner of the
eye. Patting the colour instead of dragging achieves a better concentration
of pigment.
-
Apply Shade 1 using the Eye Liner Brush to the inner corner and on the
brow bone to add a contrasting highlight.
-
Apply Shade 2 to the lower lash line concentrating at the outer corner
and blending inward using the Eye Definer Brush.
-
Using the Eye Definer Brush blend Shade 4 into Shade 2 on the lower lash
line to deepen the colour.
-
Finally, press Shade 4 into the top lash line using the Eye Definer
Brush to add definition.
-
Do not forget to sign off with Lash Power Mascara in Black Onyx to keep
lashes looking natural with a few coats of mascara. Add definition with a
few swipes on the lower lash line.
It’s easy to get stuck in a rut with your makeup.
Try something different. If you are used to using only a beige/champagne/nude
powder eye shadow try a subtle shade in a different texture. This small change
will open doors for you.
