Hot Fitness Tip of the week
Having the crusts from your toddler's peanut butter sandwich, a small handful of your co-workers m&m's, a few sips of coke, and a bite or two of your hubby's ice cream may seem harmless but these calories add up big time. Be careful about these seemingly small daily cheats. If you have to indulge set a limit that's within your daily calories and try to stick to it. The smarter thing to do is to figure out how to banish junk food cravings altogether until you've lost the weight.

Words of Inspiration

Powerful preparation

It can instantly and dramatically heighten your awareness. It can literally make you stronger. I can teach you and prepare you to face difficult challenges. It can energize you, excite you, and get you moving in a hurry.

Or it can stop you cold. It can overwhelm you if you let it, and prevent you from doing anything.

It is fear. And the way you respond to fear can make all the difference in the world. When you retreat from what you fear, you end up with an ever-growing list of things to fear, and ironically, you spend more and more time living in fear. To truly rid yourself of fear, you must face that fear and move through it.

Fear is powerful, often more powerful than the thing you fear. When fear is there you cannot help but feel it. So go ahead and feel it, listen to it, and learn from it. Then move confidently and competently forward through whatever challenge your fear has so powerfully prepared you to face.

Fitness tips for Travelers

Work calls many of us to travel a lot which can sometimes jeopardize our diet plan and exercise routine. Also, with the summer break around many of you would be planning a holiday. Just in case you stand a risk for giving in or losing track, check out and remember these tips to be make up for the lapses, if any.

If you've worked hard to establish a good fitness routine, going on a business trip doesn't have to mean your healthy habits will be derailed.

You can keep your momentum and endorphins flowing and maintain your fitness level when traveling.

1. Drink a minimum of eight 8-ounce glasses of water each day. Airport food, sitting on a plane, jet lag - all contribute to bloat. The best way to fight it is to stay hydrated. Also, If you will be drinking alcohol at business mixers, drink a lot of water between events. In fact, thirst is one of your body's most powerful instincts. Medically, dehydration is defined as a 5% increase in the concentration of solutes in your blood. (Often this can be more conveniently detected based on short-term weight loss.) Thirst sets in at about 2%, so you'll always feel strong thirst setting in long before you're dehydrated. It is also not true that dark urine indicates dehydration.
