beauty secrets to her. Women Fitness presents before you these stunning women
golfers talk about their skin care and hair care they do that make them look so
beautiful. These beauties were asked the question"You have glowing skin and
gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and
glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to
make them look so stunning?" and they replied as below:
Natalie
Gulbis: American professional golfer of Latvian descent
"I do take a skin supplement called GNC Hair Skin and Nails. I also take lots of
fish oil/omega supplements. Additionally, I use Bobbi Brown skin care - it's
like vitamins for your skin.
For my hair I use coconut oil masks - it's really good for hydration and makes
my hair silky. Good skin and hair for me comes from diet, sleep, plenty of water
and a healthy lifestyle".
Suzann Pettersen: Norwegian Golf Champion
"I consider myself a pretty natural girl. I try make sure I always stay on top
of using sunscreen, and good creams day and night. We are very exposed in the
sun playing golf, and I must be the worst client my hairdresser has. I come in
three or four times a year for some lighter highlights, and that's about it".
Marousa Polias: Australian Ladies Amateur Golf Champion
"Thank you! I have been growing my hair long for years. In the last 12 years I
have not used any kind of colouring (I might need to start in the next few years
ha ha) I try not to apply too much heat and like to use nourishing oils to keep
it hydrated. When growing your hair out, it is very important to maintain the
ends regularly otherwise, it will have to be all cut off and you see the results
slower. On my skin, I have always used high level 50+SPF as the Australian sun
is incredibly strong.
In Australia, we are very fortunate that we are made aware of the dangers of the
sun from a young age. I have always worn a hat and sunglasses when competing. My
skin regime consists of regular exfoliation and minimum twice-daily cleansing
and toning. On a weekly basis I use a purifying mask to revive my skin. I use
Chanel products and have found that my skin responds very well to them. The
biggest contributor would probably be sleep however, I love my sleep! It is so
important in order for your body and mind to function".
Ryann O'Toole: American female professional golfer
"Well I think using good shampoo and conditioner helps! I never go to the
grocery store to get my hair product. I think spending a little extra on good
shampoo and conditioner is important especially being in the sun as much as I
am. This also goes back to the vitamin subject, I think making sure your body is
healthy is also very important. Standard process makes all organic products,
only using plant or animal based products.
As far as my skin, that's definitely something I learned quickly out on Tour
that your skin needs the most protection being out in the sun as much as we are.
Get a good sunblock for your body and face, which can easily be found at your
local dermatologist. I think Facials regularly are important as well. At night
you want to hydrate your skin and put back into it what the sun takes out of it
during the day".
Carly Booth: British Youngest Ladies Golf Club Champion
"No not at all lol I stopped dying my hair bleach blonde because it was damaging
my hair and I don't use my straightens often at all anymore so it doesn't dry my
hair out. And face I wear night cream and that's about it".
Maria Balikoeva (Verchenova): Russian Amateur Golf Championship
"Thank you. I see my beautician every second week for an moisturizing treatment.
Flying really dry my skin out. For the hair I love Rene Furterer line. They have
awesome shampoo and masks. I do use lots of sun cream for face and body and
protect my hair with special sun oil".
Sandra Gal: German professional golfer
"I use a hair mask, instead of a conditioner, by Avocado. My favorite facial
cream is Dr. Hauschka".
Blair ONeal: American professional golfer
" I love beauty products so I like to try different ones to see which work best
for my skin. I am a huge advocate of sunscreen since I am outside all day long.
One of my favorite products that I have used for years is Shiseido sunscreen. I
also take vitamins every evening I think that helps with skin, hair, and
nails"!
Ms. Sydnee Michaels: American professional golfer
"Thank you! For my hair, I don't wash every day and I use a leave in
conditioner. I also try to let my hair air dry as much as possible. For my skin
I try to take very good care of it because I am in the sun so much. I load up on
sunscreen and moisturizer. My favorite night time moisturizer is Kiel's avocado
night moisturizer and Vaseline!
I use Neutrogena face sunscreen at least SPF 85. I always wear a hat or a visor
and sunglasses even when I'm outside running. I don't wear make up very often
and wash my face and use a toner twice a day to make sure my skin doesn't get
too congested since I am sweating a lot on the course and in the gym! I'm hoping
my dedication will pay off when I am older"!
