Obesity Rate Up for Young
Women, Down for Young Men

New analysis shows that obesity rates are rising in Korea among younger
women.
The Korea Association of Health Promotion says the obesity rate for women
under the age of 40 has increased, while it has decreased for men in the
same age group.
The obesity rate for women in their 20s and 30s rose by an average of 2.3
percent this year, while the rate for men decreased marginally by 0.25
percent.
Roughly 36 percent of Korean men and 12 percent of women in their 20s and
30s suffer from obesity.
