Instructions :

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and butter and flour a 9x2-inch round cake pan.  

  • Mix together the dry ingredients. Add the buttermilk, oil, and vanilla. Mix. 

  • Turn the batter into the pan, bake the cake in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean, and let it cool for 5 minutes before turning it out of the pan.

  • Cocoa 9/16 cup, unsweetened powder

  • Sugar 3/4 cup

  • Baking Soda 3/4 teaspoon

  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon

  • Buttermilk 3/4 cup

  • Vegetable oil 3/8 cup

  • Vanilla extract 1-1/2 teaspoons
