Buttermilk Cocoa Quick Cake

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups All purpose flour

  • 9/16 cup cocoa, unsweetened powder

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 3/4 teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk

  • 3/8 cup Vegetable oil

  • 1-1/2 teaspoons Vanilla extract

    Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and butter and flour a 9x2-inch round cake pan.  

  • Mix together the dry ingredients. Add the buttermilk, oil, and vanilla. Mix. 

  • Turn the batter into the pan, bake the cake in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean, and let it cool for 5 minutes before turning it out of the pan.
