Every woman loves a spa day. Whether it is a special occasion or a regular Wednesday afternoon, there is nothing better than being pampered and enjoying complete relaxation. Indulging in a spa day is the perfect way to release stress and tension, but it’s sometimes hard to know which treatment to go for. Which treatment will make you feel like a sassy new woman? Which massage will release the tension from your weary body?
Fortunately, there is a brand new guide to the ultimate spa day which offers expert tips to get the most from your pampering session. The ebook from Ellisons, who specialise in wholesale beauty products includes advice on how to find the right spa for your needs, and how to select the perfect treatment. There’s even insights from top beauty bloggers and social influencers!
Ellisons conducted a survey of more than 200 spa users to find out more about their usage habits and preferences. Most people (66%) visit spas on an annual basis, however, a lucky 15% indulge in a spa treatment once a month!
How to Choose a Spa
One of the most important factors when creating the ultimate spa experience is, of course, choosing the spa. No two spas are the same, and there are a huge range available in every price bracket. If you are planning to spend a full day at the spa you will need to check that there are dining options available on site. Do you want to have the option of going for a swim and a steam during the day? Check ahead that these facilities are available before booking. Almost a quarter of those surveyed said that their spa choice is based on recommendations, while 14% were persuaded by the price or an offer available at the time.
Who to go with
Going on a spa day alone can be hugely relaxing; spending some real quality time with number one. However, it’s also nice to share the experience with someone special. Over half of those surveyed said that their other half was the ideal partner for a spa day, which is not surprising as it can be an incredibly romantic experience. On the other hand, 29% of people said that a pamper session was best enjoyed with friends.
Choosing the right treatment
So you’ve chosen the spa to visit, and who to go with. Now it’s time for the fun part; the treatments! Whether you’re in the market for a full body massage, a facial or a pedicure (or even all 3), there are a number of things to consider.
