Fried Tofu In Mushroom Sauce

Instructions :   

  • Cut tofu into slices 1x1x1/4-inches. Add flour, teaspoon water and salt to egg. Beat until smooth. Heat oil in frying pan. 

  • Dip tofu slices in the batter and brown on both sides in hot oil. Remove browned curd slices to a dish. 

  • Brown mushrooms, sliced, lightly in leftover oil. Add water and bouillon and bring to a boil. Add soy sauce. 

  • Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup water. Stir into sauce and cook until thick. Add browned curd slices to sauce, cover pan and simmer for 1 to 2 minutes. Serve at once.

  • 1-1/2 large Egg

  • 1-1/2 Tablespoons All purpose flour

  • 1-1/2 teaspoons Water

  • 3/8 teaspoon Salt

  • 3 cups Tofu, firm

  • 4-1/2 Tablespoons Vegetable oil

  • 1-1/2 cups Water

  • 1-1/2 packets Chicken bouillon

  • 6 teaspoons Soy Sauce

  • 3/8 pound Mushrooms

  • 1-1/2 Tablespoons Cornstarch

  • 3/8 cup Water
