Mark Evan Chimsky is the head of Mark Chimsky Editorial Services Unlimited, an editorial consulting business based in Portland, Maine. In his publishing career he has been editor-in-chief at Sellers Publishing, executive editor and editorial director of Harper San Francisco, and head of the paperback divisions at both Little, Brown and Macmillan. He has edited a number of best-selling books, including Johnny Cash’s memoir, Cash<\/i>, and he has worked with such notable authors as Arthur Hertzberg, Melody Beattie, Beryl Bender Birch, and Robert Coles. He conceived of the long-running series The Best American Erotica<\/i>, compiled by Susie Bright, and he was the first editor to reissue the works of Dawn Powell.
