The Necessary Amount
The amount of water we need each day actually depends on a few things. These can include your acidity level, gender, age, and more. That being said, a good rule of thumb is 2.21 liters each day for women and 3 liters each day for men.
The amount of water you drink also needs to increase along with your level of activity. Make sure that the water you drink is always filtered so that you’ll be able to avoid the toxins that are commonly found in tap water.
As we age, we tend to be thirsty less and can end up drinking less water. That said, even in old age, hydration is just as critical as it is for younger people. Even if you’re not thirsty, keep water on hand and drink it throughout the day.
