CHERRY NUT CAKE |

cup All purpose flour

cup sugar

1-1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder

teaspoon Salt

cup Milk skim
-
1/4
cup Vegetable Shortening

teaspoon Vanilla extract

large Egg
-
1/4
cup Cherries
-
1/4
cup Mixed nuts w/peanuts

ounces Frosting, White cloud canned
METHOD:

Heat Oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and lightly flour two 9-inch
round cake pans.

In
a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, and
shortening mix at low speed until moistened; beat 2 minutes at
medium speed. Add vanilla and egg whites; continue beating an
additional 2 minutes. Add chopped, pitted, cherries and mixed nuts
(unsalted).

Pour into prepared pans. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20 to 30 minutes
or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10
minutes; remove from pans. Spread top and sides with White Cloud
Frosting.
