Alina Andrews background in acrobatics and gymnastics, she has spent her whole life around sports. Recently however she has focussed her efforts around the aesthetics which means training not for performance but for changing the look of your body. You also have to take your diet more seriously and learn to listen to your body”.

Having done this for some time now she has decided to help others achieve the same thing. She hope to assist others in geting the same satisfaction that she has received through her own training and results. She is winner of Miss Galaxy Universe which took place in Birmingham in the fitness category. She is also in WBFF federation World Championship won 2nd place in Fitness Diva and 3rd place in Figure category.

Alina Andrews winner of Miss Galaxy Universe in Fitness category in conversation with Namita Nayyar President Women Fitness

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Tell us about your journey that took you to the top of the world of fitness training and modeling?

Ms. Alina Andrews:

From right when I was born I’ve always had my heart in fitness. I was always very active and at the age of 5 I started my professional fitness journey as a gymnast. My aspirations were huge even then from my small village in Russia.

By the time I was 17, I had reached my first goal of representing my country in the national team. As the years passed I discovered a new passion for music. My love for singing begun, Alympia was born and my career quickly took off. Before long it had me travelling the world performing in many countries and ultimately ending up in London. Whilst music is now a big part of my life it has never gotten in the way of my affection for sport and even now on any given day you will find my in a gym somewhere in England or around the world!

In 2012 I moved my focus back on sport once more and I signed up for the Miami Pro Championship in which I took first place in the two categories I entered, Figure and Fitness Gymnastics. From then on I was hooked and I trained for my next competition, learning more and more about nutrition. The next competition that came up was Miss Galaxy Universe which took place in Birmingham later that year. Taking first place again in the fitness category it was clear the training was working and there was no looking back. The following day I was back on stage with the UKBFF in London where I qualified taking 3rd place in the Figure category. After this I moved to the WBFF federation where I competed in Toronto at their World Championship achieving my Pro Card on my very first event in two categories, Fitness Diva 2nd place and Figure 3rd place. The following year was my first Pro show in Montreal where I took 2nd place.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Elaborate about your concept of “training not for performance but for changing the look of your body.”?

Ms. Alina Andrews:

Despite what others may say, I believe that training is training, whether for a bodybuilding show of for a gymnastics meet. Ultimately you are trying to push your body beyond what it’s capable of so it learns to adapt and grow. Now for those of you who don’t believe me I urge you to attend a local acrobatics competition and see how good all those athletes look.

Then after you’ve also seen what they can do, come and tell me if you still think training for looks and performance are different. So for me with my acrobatics background, I continue to train just as hard as I always did and still in pretty much the same way with a lot of body weight exercises. There are however 2 important concepts or differences that anyone moving from a performance based sport to an appearance based one should consider:

*Test, evaluate and readjust your training based on what you see in the mirror, not on what is weakest. What this means that even though you might think your bicep curls are a little weak, if in the mirror it’s your triceps that are a looking small and out of balance then you must focus on these and not your biceps.

* Learn more about nutrition and food than you ever thought possible! Whilst nutrition is important when training for performance, when you’re training for appearance it becomes the number one most important part of your life. Now the best advice I can give here is to simply learn as much as possible from as many people because without this you will never be able to keep on your path to success.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Share your exercise routine that you do to maintain such a bikini perfect physique?

Ms. Alina Andrews:

My secret to keeping in great shape is to truly embrace this way of life and make sure that I enjoy it! You will notice a lot of people lose their condition after a show and whilst that’s fine it tells me that they are doing something they do not want to do and so when enough is enough they rebound back. For me I try to find a balance of exercise and eating that I can sustain all year, every year.

Then once I have this, I will tweak it small amounts here and there to ensure I get the results I want. The most important thing however is to make sure you enjoy it every single day! Sure it’s hard work, sure sometimes you are tired, but that’s just life. However if those feelings come in too often then you know the balance isn’t quite right so something needs changing.

Alina Andrews on Women Fitness: Womensfitness.net is a fantastic resource with an incredible wealth of information and I’d like to ask all the readers to continue to support it and most importantly to share it with the world so that as many people as possible can benefit from the immense effort that goes into making it.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

What is your diet? Do you take a particular fixed regulated diet comprising of nutrients and vitamins to keep you in perfect health

Ms. Alina Andrews:

For me, my diet is not a diet, it’s just my lifestyle . On or off season, it’s fairly constant. I have an extremely varied selection of food which I think is of up most importance if you’re going to keep this up for a long time. When I started I was more strict and would measure each meal to fit in with my planned intake however as the years have passed I’ve learnt to listen to my body and now I can be a little more relaxed and “feel” what is right to eat and when to eat it. This is extremely important as it helps me to enjoy what I do and keep happy, which ultimately is the point of living!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

What is your motivation to take a multi-faceted personality of a fitness model, personal trainer, media personality and nutritional expert ?

Ms. Alina Andrews:

This is simple, it comes down to a basic desire for life and for success. It’s in my heart and is part of my soul. I enjoy all these things and when you set yourself a goal and work towards it you grow as a person. Then the most important point is to start over again, set yourself a new goal and continue growing. I also enjoy to see the success of others and so helping them to achieve it and being part of the process is an amazing experience which also gives me great energy

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have glowing skin and gorgeous hairs. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hairs to make them look so stunning?

Ms. Alina Andrews:

I always enjoy relaxing and going to a spa for a facial or some other treatment whenever possible, but this is not my secret….In fact, even all the vitamins, creams or other beauty products out there will not change your appearance like you want. The real secret you are looking for is a workout for your face! That’s right, facial exercises not only tone your face but can really take years off your appearance. What’s even better is that it both free and fun!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have done bold photo shoots. What advice you wish to give to the women of today to be body confident in order to do such bold modeling?

Ms. Alina Andrews:

It all comes down to belief. Believe you are the best, believe you look just how you want to look. When you truly believe this within, everybody else will believe it too. It also helps to have worked hard for something because when you have truly done this it will make it easier for you to believe it as you know deep inside you earned it. So in summary, decide how you want to look, believe it and work hard. Do this and any photo shoot will be a great success.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Has your background in acrobatics and gymnastics helped you in the career of Fitness Expert and Fitness Model?

Ms. Alina Andrews:

Yes it definitely has. In fact it’s helped me with all areas of my life! You see the dedication, focus and achieving the impossible are all great lessons to learn and I feel extremely lucky to have had this from such a young age.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Tell us about this experience of at WBFF Toronto and WBFF Montreal?

Ms. Alina Andrews:

The WBFF is a fantastic federation and the experience of competing with them is something I will never forget. Their main distinction is they are more like a fashion show than a bodybuilding contest and the owners Paul and Alison Dillett do everything they possibly can to make it what it is and for all the athletes to feel part of a family.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

What you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?

Ms. Alina Andrews:
