She met Charlie’s Farm director Chris Sun in 2011 and featured in his first two films, Come and Get Me and Daddy’s Little Girl. Ms Jaques said horror films were a great place to start in the industry. ‘‘The roles that I’ve taken on in Chris Sun’s films have all been challenging, but rewarding,’’ she said.

Allira plays Stacey, Georgia’s mother in the film in what was her second feature film. Previously she had already worked with the director Chris Sun before on his first (which was her first acting gig) on ‘Come and Get Me”. She’s now filming a new Australian horror flick called “Charlie’s Farm”. This is part of a 4 film franchise and the director hopes to create Australia’s first iconic killer. The exciting thing for her is mixing it up with some well-known American named talent. Allira Jaques exceptionally talented and accomplished Australian actress. Famous for her roles in “Daddy’s Little Girl ” and “Come and Get Me” is in conversation with Namita Nayyar President Women Fitness

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You were crowned Miss Surfest at age of 19 years and later began to pursue acting. Your first major breakthrough in films was “Come and Get Me” in 2011. Tell us about your journey that took you to where you are now in the world of acting, fashion and modeling ?

Ms. Allira Jaques:

I began modeling at 18 years of age, mostly for fun and also to build my self-confidence and esteem. I enjoyed it immensely but it wasn’t a dream I always had. As a child, I was very eccentric and dramatic. I was that kid who loved playing “dress ups” “cops and robbers” “mums and dads” etc! I always wanted to act but as I got older I did what most teenagers do and started to see things as “uncool”.

It wasn’t until I went out into the world and started to work and pursue other avenues, like modeling, that I knew who I was as a person and what I wanted. I don’t do modeling anymore, I took myself to my first audition in 2010 in Queensland and scored my first role which was “Come and
Get Me” and since then I knew that this is what I was meant to do.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have selected a profession of being an actress, into fashion and beauty that requires a lot of hard labor, technical soundness and excellence in different faculties to finally succeed, how do you achieve that?

Ms. Allira Jaques:

I try to make sure I keep a balanced life. Keeping up with the industry, continuing to learn wherever I can, getting enough rest, eating healthy, exercising and most importantly, keeping happy and spending quality time with my family! The entertainment industry is a tough one and I am lucky to have a fantastic family who have supported me and have raised me to be a strong, independent woman.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?

Ms. Allira Jaques:

I don’t like the gym! I love being outdoors so going for a walk or a jog is always my choice. Also upon waking up in the morning, I like to do basic exercises like squats, lunges, sit ups, push ups etc. I find if I am consistent with these exercises it really works for me.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Ms. Allira Jaques:

I am definitely not strict when it comes to diet, I never have been. I have always found that if I keep a balanced diet, it works! By balanced I mean keeping within the five food groups! Ensuring I have enough vegetables, fruit, dairy, lean meat and plenty of water. Having a healthy, balanced dinner and breakfast is very important for me and breakfast isn’t always fancy! Plain old cereal and milk or eggs on wholegrain toast is perfect. Also I don’t rule out “sometimes foods” either, I have them rarely and as treat for myself.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have glowing skin and gorgeous hairs. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hairs to make them look so stunning?

Ms. Allira Jaques:

No I don’t take any special skin treatment. I try to drink as much water as I can. Water is great for your skin and also keeps away the dark circles around your eyes. Also, for years I have made sure I moisturize my whole body EVERY day. I swear by good moisture in your skin. With my hair, argan or Moroccan oil is a necessity to the upkeep of my hair. I use the oil after washing especially in the ends to keep the moisture in. I try not to wash it too much and if I am using a flat iron or dryer I use a heat protecting serum.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Advice and motivational words for our inspiring and budding women models and actresses who all are your fans, what should they do for their climb to the ladder of success in field of acting and fashion?

Ms. Allira Jaques:

I am still learning also and at the beginning of my career, but if I had any advice at all it would be to stay true to yourself. Don’t try to be anyone else as they are all taken! Also don’t let anyone tell you cant do something and don’t stop until you achieve what you want. I have always believed you can do anything you put your mind to and I have my family and friends to thank for the support they have given me and helped me believe in myself.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have won two awards, the Australian Screen Industry Network, Best Actress, 2012 and Melbourne Underground Film Festival, Best Actress, 2012 for your riveting performance in “Daddy’s Little Girl”. How do you feel on this achievement of yours ?

Ms. Allira Jaques:

It was a great honor to be given these awards firstly because it’s a great feeling to know your work is appreciated. But also because the role in Daddy’s Little Girl was where I first really studied and developed a character. I put a lot of work into it and it was lovely to see people saw that and respected it.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Who has been your inspiration and motivation that led you to your success in the world of acting, modeling and fashion?

Ms. Allira Jaques:

I am a very inspirational person, so I am motivated by anybody who have had to work hard for their goals, whether they are in the industry or not. People who have a story, who are honest and passionate about what they do is admirable to me. Naomi Watts, Heath Ledger, Jodie Forster and Marlon Brando are just some of the people I admire and also learn from their work.

But apart from these great veterans, my amazing Mum, Dad and family and my best friend/Director Chris Sun are people who have motivated me the most. They are the ones who keep me level-headed and grounded and I am glad that I have them right by my side.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have done bold photo shoots, how you are so body confident and advice to your compatriots?

Ms. Allira Jaques:

Back when I was modeling, I competed in a wide range of bikini competitions. I did so many that I began to be very confident in front of people and therefore doing photo shoots got a lot easier. We are all human, and everybody has features they like and dislike about themselves, but I know there is nothing more attractive and sexier than a woman with extreme confidence in herself. If you show that confidence, in the way you walk, talk, act, or pose, it shows!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

How has been your experience with Tara Reid with regard to your upcoming film ‘Charlie’s Farm’?

Ms. Allira Jaques:

As I have stated, I am very new to the industry and very passionate about my work. When I found out I was going to be working with Tara Reid, I was nervous. I didn’t know what to expect and I grew up watching Tara in movies that I enjoyed. So when it came time for me to work with someone that had been acting since she was 6 years old, it intimidated me. But Tara was fantastic to work with and a great experience for me! She was very professional on set and one thing I can honestly say about Tara is that after years and years of working as an actress, she still has a huge passion for it! It was great to see.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
