Queen of Pole-Dancing Anastasia Skukhtorova Unveils her Workout, Diet and Beauty Secrets

Anastasia Skukhtorova is one of the most beautiful and exceptionally talented Pole Dancer in the World. She is in conversation with Namita Nayyar, President Women Fitness.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You were born in Moscow, Russia. You began pole dancing at Moscow School when you were only 18 years old. The first exposure you had of pole dance as art and sport was watching videos of your pole idols, this was the catalyst that made you reach the pinnacle of success in pole dancing by winning Russian Pole Dance and Fitness Competition 2009. What factors you consider were responsible that made you achieve that?

Ms. Anastasia Skukhtorova:
I think from a very young age I always believed I can do or get everything I want. I just believed in it with all my heart.
Then I think it is very important to love what you do. And I loved competitions. I loved meeting new people, I loved performing and I felt very confident. I never wanted to do it because I wanted to win. I hoped maybe I can get some place and I just wanted to have fun and be better than myself every new day.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You had no experience before had no sport and no dance background. You began pole dancing in December of 2008. You trained at Moscow School and fell in love with pole dancing with your first class. In the beginning you trained for 3 days a week for about 6-7 hours. Later you trained all weeks for many hours, paid close attention to detail with choreography, basic tricks and stretching. This took your pole dancing to a pinnacle. Tell us about your own and unique style that you embedded in your spectacular pole dancing?

Ms. Anastasia Skukhtorova:
People say that my style is elegant, very clean and pleasant to watch. Some people call it ballet style or pole ballet. Somebody said that it is a classic pole dancing.
I love pointed toes, beautiful moves and transitions, pole flow and dancing with tricks on and around the pole. I don't like dancing on the floor that much. I like to fly!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?

Ms. Anastasia Skukhtorova:
I always start with warm up. All exercises depend on the place and studio. They can all vary. Can be running and squats if it is cold at pole school. Or can be just yoga poses and some stretching. Also depends on what I'm going to do during my training. If I want to do tricks that require a lot of flexibility then warm up should be very intense.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Ms. Anastasia Skukhtorova:
Most of the time im trying to eat healthy. Lots of vegetables, water, fruits, fish. Sometimes I eat meat. But of course I have these days when I eat cakes, drink coffee and wine, pastas, pizzas, potatoes. But I don't eat it that often.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?

Ms. Anastasia Skukhtorova:
Oh thank you so much! I use normal shampoos. But sometimes I go to my favorite hairdressing salon in Moscow. They take a good care of my hair.
I also like SPAs. And try to go there when I can. It definitely helps to keep your body and soul looking great and happy
