Dani Stevens: Exceptionally Talented Fitness and Motivational Expert Inspirational Story of Success and Happiness

Dani Stevens is Health Fitness and Food Motivator with a huge passion to live a healthy, happy life and She wishes to share it with all, through her blog http://www.danistevens.com.

She is a happily married stay-at-home mum with four adorable kids – Noah, Oscar, Mietta and Zali. Her family is her biggest passion of all! They moved from country Victoria to their dream location near Byron Bay, on the North coast of NSW. It is no exaggeration to say they are living their dream, being up close to some of the most pristine beaches in the world!

She has always wanted to live by the sea, where her soul meets the ocean. She wrote on her blog, there’s something about the sea that soothes her soul and gives me serenity and a sense of calmness. Those are the reasons why she wanted to move her young family up the coast – it was a major lifestyle change; for the better!, she further says
” If you want something badly enough, you can make it happen. I always encourage people to live their dreams. Life wasn’t meant to be lived in one place”.

Even though she is Australian born, her Serbian-Croatian roots are deeply embedded within her. She has special memories of her childhood, living in the former Yugoslavia. She often thought about her extended family overseas – especially the incredible food!

She writes on her blog : “Things I love: I love travel and cooking. I LOVE people! I love to share my healthy tips and tricks that help me achieve a healthy, fit life. I want to pass all my knowledge onto you! My goal is to inspire and motivate you to do whatever it is you love. I’ve been a full time, stay-at-home Mum since the birth of our 2nd son”.

Previously, she worked in the IT&T industry for over 15 years in a variety of roles, including sales, marketing and management. But her current gig – managing a family of six people is her biggest and most challenging role yet! She is excited that she can give others ideas to motivate and inspire. She shed over 90kgs – 200lbs combined weight over my 4 pregnancies.

She excited about her collaborations with powerhouse names across the globe: Jamie Oliver, Volvo, Telstra and Dr Oz. She is driven by positivity! That simple word symbolizes everything she believes what we need to help us achieve great things.

Dani Stevens is an exceptionally talented fitness and motivational expert. She is mother of four healthy and beautiful children. She is in conversation with Namita Nayyar, President Women Fitness.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have a Serbian-Croatian background and was born in Australia. You initially worked for in the IT&T industry for over 15 years in various sales, marketing and management roles. You must have been a active participant in outdoor activities. You reached the pinnacle of success by running your website www.danistevens.com and providing useful information to women on health and fitness. Tell us about your journey that took you to the world of fitness?

Ms. Dani Stevens:
I’m just a mum – like so many other women around the world. I’ve been lucky enough to have four amazing children and a very supportive husband. Without them, I would not have the motivation to achieve everything I have.Motherhood was really the trigger for my successful business – it was the beginning of everything. The stress of four pregnancies on my body had meant my weight had yo-yoed up and down for years – and that was causing other health issues that I knew I had to take action to repair. For me, it’s all about what you feed your body – great nutrition is the foundation of any health lifestyle. I also needed exercises that I could stick to and when you’ve got four young children, having the time to go to the gym, or having the budget to buy exercise equipment to use at home just isn’t always possible. Now that I’m motivating other people on their own fitness journey at DaniStevens.com, I know they’re facing the same issues – lack of time and lack of resources, sometimes. What I am about is finding ways to do small steps that fit with people’s lifestyle – and, over time, get big results. It starts with eating fresh food – lots of veggies and fruit. Then there are exercises that you can do at home, in the park or at the beach – plus lots of ways you and your whole family can move together.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You shed over 90 kgs – 200 lbs combined weight over your four pregnancies and with exceptional physical training you achieved the enviable transformation of your body. Tell us more about your body transformation success?

Ms. Dani Stevens:
It wasn’t always easy. Losing weight and getting fit means you need to focus – you need to have a clear goal and just stay motivated to achieve it. For me, the main motivation was my family. I want to live a long healthy life to be there for them and watch them grow up – and I want to be an amazing role model who shows them that living their own healthy lives is natural and fun.Taking a good long look at how much processed foods, refined sugars and unwanted fats is ending up in you fridge and pantry is the best place to start. Fill your fridge with fresh fruit – organic if you can – drink lots of water, and pile your plate with vegetables, instead of too many empty carbohydrates. I’m not a nutritionist but I know that healthy, whole food is brilliant for your body. And by moving together with your family – from fun runs, to swimming, to skipping rope, bouncing on the trampoline or just playing ball or Frisbee. There are so many ways that you can be active. That’s what I did. The benefit is that, not only does your body get stronger and leaner – your kids have memories that will last them a lifetime. Health and happiness go hand in hand.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Share your exercise routine that you do to maintain such a bikini perfect physique?

Ms. Dani Stevens:
My exercises are mainly body weight as I do them on the go or when I am playing with our children. A sample of my exercise routine styles are found in my latest 30 Days Of Fitness & Food ebook:

  • 10-12 lunges x3 sets
  • 10-12 squats x3 sets
  • 10-12 mountain climbers x3
  • 10-12 heel kicks
  • 10-12 burpees

I also enjoy going to my Pilates reformer classes which maintains and builds my intrinsic and core muscles. I also love boxing classes.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What is your diet? Do you take a particular fixed regulated diet comprising of nutrients and vitamins to keep you in perfect health?

Ms. Dani Stevens:
I mainly rely on 100% fresh and whole foods. However on occasions when I know I have had a hectic few months, there are vitamins and superfood powders I consume such as baobab, Acai berry, spirulina and chlorophyll.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What is your motivation to take a multi-faceted personality of a fitness model, fitness expert, media personality, nutritional expert, motivational speaker and interview host?

Ms. Dani Stevens:
Again it’s all about my family and being happy in life. I wanted to show them what you can do when you put your mind to it. Dreams can come true – at any age. Good health can’t be done in isolated steps of some special, calorie-restricted diet, or some intense workout.

That’s why people start off strong and then give up – it’s too hard and it’s unsustainable. Healthy lifestyle is just that – a whole lifestyle. I want to share that with people and the online world is such a brilliant way to do that. It started with a blog over at Fitness Food And Style and recently changed to DaniStevens.com which has become a successful, brilliant business that I love.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?

Ms. Dani Stevens: JUICE, juice and more juice! I juice everything and kick off each day with a boost of a nutrient-rich drink that tastes great and sets me up for the day. The kids love it too. I am a big fan of fresh air and nature – I’m not about getting stuck in the gym. So, I walk on the beach, play in the park with the kids, minimise alcohol-intake and stay away from too much coffee and just enjoy whole, healthy, fresh foods that do all the hard work for me – simply by enjoying yummy food that’s good for me.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: As a mother of four children, taking a career in modelling and as a glamorous fitness personality can be quite challenging. Kindly tell us how you handled such a challenging situation in your life?

Ms. Dani Stevens: Life is BUSY. Any parent will understand. I love the fact that people are interesting in seeing what a ‘real’ person looks like. I am definitely real. I’m not a professional model. Just an Australian mum who believes in healthy lifestyle – and it shows on my body and my skin. It’s about being active and happy.

I love what I do and it shows. Running a business as a mum is a juggle but it’s possible. It’s all possible. That’s the biggest lesson I want to share with people. If you really want to do something, you can always find the time to make it happen. It’s about prioritising. Get off Facebook for a few minutes a day, keep a journal of your ambitions. Find out what you need to do to help them come true and just take the first step. It all starts with a small step…

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You had the opportunity to interview some of the influential leaders. Tell us one of your such memorable experience you wish to share?

Ms. Dani Stevens: It’s such a privilege to get to talk to people whose careers I have admired. I have to stop myself sometimes from sounding too much like a ‘fan’. My favorite memory? Too many to share here but two come to mind. The first is Richard Branson, who shared his support as I rode over 800 kms across Australia for The Ride To Conquer Cancer movement and another was when I met and interviewed Jamie Oliver. He has always been a big part of my cooking and healthy lifestyle so it was a thrill to finally meet face-to-face.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: Elaborate on your endeavor of successfully running the website http://danistevens.com/ and what all does it offer to it’s viewers?

Ms. Dani Stevens: Our online community is growing every day. I wanted to create a home where people could come to find practical, genuinely helpful tips they could apply to their real lives. So, there is me talking about my life with my family, plus I share stories from people who have transformed their own bodies on incredible fitness journeys that are positively inspirational. I’m a practical person and I know time is precious.

I want people to be able to visit DaniStevens.com – even if it’s only for a few minutes a day – and come away with a brilliant recipe they can feed their family that night, or a simple exercise they can squeeze into their schedule after dropping the kids at school, or information about cool products and innovations that might help them live a better, healthier life. I want it to be a happy place. There’s no one to judge you at DaniStevens.com It’s about being yourself and finding the tools you can fit into your own life and help your body become fitter, stronger and healthier.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fitness conscious girls, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in achieving the perfectly sculpted physique?

Ms. Dani Stevens:
Never EVER give up. Believe in yourself. YOU can make it happen. Find a ‘why’ that makes you jump outta bed every morning – and then get motivated by that to succeed. I mean…for me, it’s my family and online community. Imagine if I wasn’t fit and happy and I was parenting them from a place of unhappiness and poor health. They are my ‘why’.
I want to be a great Mum and help them live lives they can be proud of – lives that they love. Be realistic. Don’t set a time limit to lose some ridiculous amount of weight and then beat yourself up because you didn’t do it. Just be consistent. Small steps, remember. If you are putting healthy food in your body every day and you are taking even a few minutes to get moving, with purpose, you’re off to a great start.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
