Off-duty, Windsor, an amateur chef and baker, appeared on Fox’s “Master Chef,” competing against her friend Gigi Hadid. She also is a supporter of the St. Louis Children’s Hospital and The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, as elephants count among her favorite animals.

Check out as Namita Nayyar, President Women Fitness, catches up with the lovely Devon Windsor as she reveals her fashion and fitness secrets to us.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You were discovered at a young age of 14, and since then have modeled for some of the world’s biggest fashion brands and have been featured in top magazines. Walk us through your incredible modelling journey so far.

Ms. Devon Windsor:

It is true that I was discovered by a local photographer at the age of 14, but I didn’t start full-time modeling until I was 18 and graduated high school. After that my agency, IMG models, moved me to Milan and London to build my book before coming to New York for fashion week. For my first fashion week season I walked for Prada as a semi-exclusive and after that many big brands followed. I was able to have a really successful first fashion week! At the Prada show they bleached my hair, which sort of became what I was known for. That winter I walked in my first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which was amazing. I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many fashion icons and brands such as Carine Roitfeld, Karl Lagerfeld, Miuccia Prada, Dior, Chanel, Patrick Demarchelier and many more!

I recently filmed my first small role in a movie and walked in my fourth VS Fashion Show. I have a love for food and was fortunate to have the opportunity to compete on Master Chef and film an episode of Hell’s Kitchen.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Being a world leading media personality and fashion model, you have such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle. Introduce us to a day in your life.

Ms. Devon Windsor:

If I’m not working, my typical day starts off with a huge breakfast. I like to incorporate eggs, toast, bacon or a smoothie with Greek yogurt. I’ll most likely workout after breakfast and then join friends for lunch. Following lunch, I run errands and organize myself before my next job or travel day. I like to finish my day with a cozy dinner with friends or I cook for myself at home. If I’m working, I wake up and get a smoothie and head to set and work all day. Depending on when I get off, I either go home and order dinner or meet up with friends.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine?

Ms. Devon Windsor:

I’m a huge fan of Pilates – I like to do that a couple times a week as well as see my trainer. My trainer is always able to push me harder then I would myself. I also like to incorporate boxing for cardio purposes since I don’t love to run. I always workout in the mornings as well. I would say I workout maybe 3-5 times a week.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit? Also, tell us about your diet prior to a Fashion Show.

Ms. Devon Windsor:

I’ve never been good at dieting. I’m actually a huge foodie and love to cook and bake as well. If I have a big job or show coming up I try to amp up my workout and eat healthier in general. I don’t believe in depriving your body – everything in moderation!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Share with us your skincare and haircare routine.

Ms. Devon Windsor:

Every morning and night I wash my face with Shiseido lucent face wash. Followed by Chanel toner and hydra cream. If my face is craving extra moisture I use Skinfood. I also use Bioderma as a makeup remover because it’s super gentle on the face and not oily. For my hair, I try to only wash it 2-3 times a week. I bleach my hair so it gets really dry otherwise. I also put in hair creams and oils daily to keep it fresh. I love Shu Uemura and Kerastase products.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You are ranked amongst the Maxim’s Hot 100 of 2016. Share with us your 5 Fitness Secrets to stay in shape and sexy.

Ms. Devon Windsor:
  • If you can get up and get your workout clothes on you’ll go to the gym. The worst part for me is just getting them on.
  • If you’re not good at pushing yourself, add a personal trainer into the mix to keep you motivated.
  • A healthy breakfast before or after your workout always gets me feeling like I’ve had a good start to my day.
  • Drink a lot of water while you workout.
  • Don’t be afraid to sweat!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

As an amateur chef and baker, you recently appeared on Fox’s Master Chef. How was your experience on the show?

Ms. Devon Windsor:

I had the best time on Master Chef. I’ve always been interested in cooking and baking so to be able to compete on the show with Gigi was absolutely amazing. I was a bit nervous to cook for Gordon since he’s notorious for being a tough critic but he was super nice and enjoyed my dish! It was also amazing to be able to donate $15,000 to the St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

With an audience of over 771k followers on your Instagram account @devwindsor, you’re a social media sensation and an internet leading star. How does it feel that you are able to influence the healthy lifestyle of so many individuals?

Ms. Devon Windsor:

Honestly, sometimes I forget how many people actually follow me – I can’t even fathom how many people that really is! I feel it’s important to put thought into every post and promote a healthy lifestyle. I love posting workout photos because I always think that helps motivate people, I know it does for me. And my Snapchat and Insta-stories are always filled with yummy foods (some not always healthy!). I want to show people that you can maintain a body you’re comfortable with while also enjoying the simple things in life, whether that’s a glass of wine or an ice cream cookie sandwich. As long as you workout you can balance those things.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion models, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in the field of modelling?

Ms. Devon Windsor:

The advice that I always give to young models is to never give up. You’re not always going to receive a “yes” and everyone is not always going to like you. That doesn’t mean you can’t be successful. You just have to find the people that do believe in you and hang onto them. Modeling is all about creating relationships as well as timing. Timing is hard to control, but if you’re able to create relationships with the people you work with, that will motivate them to book you again and again!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have done many stunning photo shoots for Victoria’s Secret, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Elle and many more. Share with us your 5 tips to totally rock a photo shoot.
