Namita Nayyar:

You were unable to train for five weeks in mid-2019 after undergoing four operations. Tell us about your resting regime to gain your strength back? Why is it so important?

Elisabeth Seitz:

I had 4 surgeries between 2010-2017 on my feet. After every surgery i had to take breaks for more than 5 weeks. But after a surgery I always set new goals – most of the time it was to walk again and a few weeks or month later to train again. But a break never means to rest or relax. I always tried to work on other things I could do this time. It’s important to never stopdoing anything to get back in shape easier.

Namita Nayyar:

With the current outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, what is your current home workout routine? Share a short note on strength for those unable to handle this situation.

Elisabeth Seitz:

Fortunately, since the end of April I have been allowed to go to my training hall once a week. Before that, I mainly did a lot of exercises in the fresh air. Many exercises with your own body weight, but also a little dumbbell training was included. Running was and is important. Exercise is the basis for good physical fitness.
