My Favorite Organic Beauty & Bath Products

I recently switched my products over to more natural ones after developing sensitivities to my original beauty routine due to a year of health issues. What I immediately found was softer glowing skin, less breakouts, no more headaches, and a massive difference in my health. Who knew that using powders with talc and products with fragrance and parabens would, over time, take a toll on not only my face but my insides too? As we all know, not all products are created equal, so I tested the top ones and the following reigned supreme.

Coconut & Papaya Body Wash by Nubian Heritage

The first time I tried this body wash, I was so blown away at how soft it made my skin, that I went back to the store to try the rest of the line. Their lotions are the perfect balance of moisture without being too oily on your skin. Also, the entire line rates as one of the lowest on the Healthy Living App, which measures the toxicity levels in products. Even the most sensitive skin will enjoy this treat.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked, 100% Vegan Palette

This is everything you need in one convenient palette. When I’m on the run, I throw this, mascara, and a lipstick in my bag and I’m ready for the day. Not only are the colors stunning, but it’s formulated without fragrance, talc, parabens, gluten, and nanoparticles. It’s also cruelty-free and a home run when it comes to the perfect holiday gift for friends.

Milk + Honey Coconut Lip Balm

During the winter months especially, you can’t be without this one. Especially with anything that goes on my lips, I like to make sure the ingredients are extremely pure — as I usually end up reapplying it several times throughout the day. This balm has the highest quality, certified organic ingredients. Plus, the 15 SPF doesn’t hurt either.

Patchouli & Buriti Bath Bombs by Nubian Heritage

I love coming home after a crazy day and taking a long bath, but I always felt like my skin was irritated after soaking in the chemicals in a lot of bubble bath formulas. The Buriti oil in these supports collagen production and adds antioxidant power while hydrating your skin. It softens even the toughest skin and the leaves you smelling like a goddess.

Bamboo Blur Powder by 100% Pure

When I switched over to organic products, the hardest thing for me to find was natural makeup that provided the same coverage and look on-camera as the chemical-filled options. This magical powder is as close to a real-life Instagram filter as it gets.

Nutiva Virgin Coconut Oil

I once saw an interview where Gisele Bundchen said that her favorite beauty product was coconut oil and thought to myself, “Yeah right.” Then I tried it and became a believer. I now use it in place of shaving cream, moisturizing oil for after I shower, and even mix organic cane sugar in it to make a homemade body scrub. Thanks, Gisele!
