Galina Musina: Finalist at World Pole Dance Championship Advice for Women “Love yourself and the Whole World will Love you”

Galina Musina is a Russian pole dancer and was a finalist at World Pole Dance Championship 2014. She was born on 15th December 1992. She is exceptionally talented and accomplished pole dancer. At six years of age she started with rhythmic gymnastics and later started pole dancing and excelled in the same. Presently she lives in Moscow Russia. She was also the winner of Miss Pole Dance Russia Moscow 2014.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Your practice in dance and sports must have started at an early age and was a catalyst that you fell in love with pole dance and reached the pinnacle of success by being a finalist at World Pole Dance 2014 held at Hawth Theater, Crawley. What factors you consider were responsible that made you achieve that?

Ms. Galina Musina:

I have been going in for sport since my childhood and my love for training has arisen long ago. Sport teaches you how to set goals and how to achieve them. The first woman Pole performance that I saw, has completely awoken my interest in this sport and I decided to try it. And of course when pole dance became a part of my life I wanted to improve my skills and be in progress.At that moment the main aim for me was to become finalist of International Pole Dance competition 2014 and I am so glad and happy that I did it! Now new future is waiting for me.

Tell us your story of events that led you from childhood to competitive pole dancing?

Ms. Galina Musina:

Since 6 years old I have started to go in rhythmic gymnastics. Rhythmic gymnastic is very beautiful sport and improves girl`s grace, flexibility and body’s beauty. When I was 14 years old I had finished my gymnastic training, got a qualification and certain skills level. Became a student(18 years old) I have been keen on gymnastics again and danced with a team for a while. When I got a good progress in pole dance that was a time to choose: gymnastics or pole dance. And I made my decision! I choose pole dance!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You embrace a unique style of pole dancing. Your innovation produces mesmerizing style of pole dancing. Elaborate on this concept of your’s?

Ms. Galina Musina:

It is a pleasure for me that people find my dance style interesting and memorable. I think over my every dance and performance and of course it especially concerns character of dance. It is more important how you dance than what you dance. At International PoleDance competition my performance was merry and lively, I think that was a main reason of success.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?

Ms. Galina Musina:

My training contain different exercises for all muscle groups. Usually I start my training with warm-up, then foot, legs, back and hands stretching. Actually it is very important to have strong hands and flexible shoulders. That’s why I pay more attention to them. And finally pole training starts. I like that during this training almost all the muscles work and you get a great result, that is noted immediately. Poledancers are well-shaped and have strong and beautiful body.

Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Ms. Galina Musina:

I have never been on a diet, just want to notice that it is very important to have a good balanced ration in order you have enough energy for the serious and hard training. In my ration I include soups, meat, vegetables,fruits. Sometimes it is necessary to allow yourself to eat something sweat.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding pole dancing girls who all are your fans, they shall like to know from you, what they should do to at to ladder of success in field of pole dancing ?

Ms. Galina Musina:

The most important thing is to have an aim and follow it in spite of everything.When something goes the way you do not want, it is time to have a break- to watch videos of your favorite dancers, to visit workshop, to change your style/trainer/mood. It helps, I know!Go in choreography, stretching, train your strength and endurance-all this together will bring you a result. And of course rehearse and repeat your dance again and again till it becomes perfect! There are a lot of competitors, never give up and never be afraid of somebody.Only when you start to dance for yourself, for your own satisfaction you will get great results!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

How did you feel before and after your endeavor at World Pole Dance 2014?

Ms. Galina Musina:

Before this championship I was less confident than after as that was my first international experience. I only wished I could get in to the final, I was afraid to look not as good as other participants. When I got in to the final and knew that was on the 4th place I was so happy and excited. Of course it makes me feel more confident now and go further and train more and more.

Who has been your greatest influencer and motivator in your success in the field of your career in competitive pole dancing ?

Ms. Galina Musina:

I am my own motivator and I want to reach those who are already Quin of Pole dance. And each time I compare myself with them and set a new goal for me: “Could I?” This contest inside of me guides me to success.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You belong to Russia, what pole dancing facilities are available in your country that helps you in propagation of this sports?

Ms. Galina Musina:

Pole dance in Russia develops very fast, almost in each city you can find dance school. Different workshops take place few times a year, competitions of different levels, training workshops, master classes where trainers and sportsman share their experience with others. Some of sportsman attend a summer pole camp.The amount of sportsman increases from year to year.
