Model Kimmi Yanez Talks Fitness, Modelling & Lots More!

Kimmi Yanez is a Latina Bikini model from Dallas, Texas. She loves working out, prepping meals and styling hair/makeup. Her favorite past times are spending time with her dog, and long jogs around the lake. She wants to inspire others to live a happy, healthy and active life.

Women Fitness President talks to stunning model about her journey into the world of entertainment.

Namita Nayyar:

Modelling is a competitive and challenging field, what motivated you take this up as a career?

Kimmi Yanez:

Ever since I was little I’ve loved sparkles, makeup and everything glam. Modeling for me, is more than a career or job, it’s a passion. I feel like you have to have love for what you do, and I love getting glammed up and being myself in front of the camera.

Namita Nayyar:

All of us are some time or the other are inspired by our seniors. List 5 models that are your role models and why?

Kimmi Yanez:

Tyra Banks, Ashley Graham, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid and Ugbad Abdi. The reason why these women are my role models is because each one of them is not only gorgeous, but they’re smart, and they bring something new and exciting to the table. They all are different in their own way but share the love they have for the industry.

Namita Nayyar:

Your fitness regime must be well-defined to have a healthy physique. Share some input?

Kimmi Yanez:

I workout Monday through Saturday, and I do fasted cardio in the morning. Keeping up this fitness regime is a little tough sometimes, but I remind myself of my end goal and motivate myself once again.

Namita Nayyar:

Cardio or weight training which one works best for you? 

Kimmi Yanez:

A combined workout regimen of both cardio and weight training works for me. 

Namita Nayyar:

What does your first meal of the day consist of? 5 foods to kick start the day?

Kimmi Yanez:

My first meal of the day consists of 5 ounces of egg whites and turkey bacon. I love having coffee in the mornings also, so I prepare my coffee with almond milk and equal sweetener to keep it macro-friendly.

Namita Nayyar:

Your favorite cheat meals that you can’t resist? 2 Supplements you have tried and found good?

Kimmi Yanez:

My all time favorite cheat meal is a huge juicy steak dinner with butter rolls and BBQ sauce. I personally love Yohimbine, it’s a natural fat burner that I take prior to my workout, it helps me sweat more and has sped up my weight loss. Another supplement I love is turmeric, whether I’m sprinkling it on my food, or taking a capsule, I found that it speeds up my recovery time and in the long run, will help my joints so I can continue weight lifting for a longer period of time.

Namita Nayyar:

You have a big fan following on Instagram, what do you think motivates people to follow you?

Kimmi Yanez:

I think the reason why people follow me is because I try to be as transparent as possible online. I make it known that I’m a regular person like everyone else who has hardships and didn’t just wake up with a nice body, I try to show my progress with old pictures and I offer fitness tips on my page.

Namita Nayyar:

Your favorite activewear brands are?

Kimmi Yanez:

My favorite activewear brands are: Calia by Callie Underwood, CL’s sportswear, and Better Bodies.

Namita Nayyar:

Your input on Women Fitness website as a fitness fanatic.

Kimmi Yanez:

I think Women Fitness creates a wonderful platform for women to educate themselves and find motivation through other’s stories. I found the Women Fitness website very captivating and interesting because of their vast variety of informational articles and data as well as entertaining stories.

Namita Nayyar:

Your skin care and hair care routine, after a sweaty workout? 5 skincare rituals.

Kimmi Yanez:

I wash my body with PanOxyl after a sweaty workout to prevent acne, I exfoliate my face and apply moisturizer, I make sure to deep wash my hair and braid it to help my roots as well as applying a root strengthener I also apply coconut oil to my entire body to moisturize and hydrate my skin.

Namita Nayyar:

After a long hard-working day, what do you look forward to? Stress-busting tips?

Kimmi Yanez:

Spending time with my German Shepherd baby, and cooking my next day’s meals.

Namita Nayyar:

5 things we’ll always find in your gym bag?

Kimmi Yanez:

All the essentials! Hair ties, Water, Knee sleeves, Headphones, gum of course.
