Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar did a candid interview with Lady Violet Manners, a British Royal, an English socialite, businesswoman, and a model where she talks about her workout, diet, hair & skincare, and her success story.

Namita Nayyar:

You have studied at Queen Margaret’s School, York. And later worked for My Beautiful City, a creative agency in Soho, before starting your own marketing and brand-strategy Consultant Company. You have also worked for Robin Birley, in public relations for Gleneagles. Later you took start your career in modeling. Tell us more about this fairy tale journey?

Lady Violet Manners:

It hasn’t been all a fairy tale. There’s been a lot of hard work but I’ve always just followed my instinct and interests and thrown myself, my creativity and my mind into everything I’ve done to date. They say variety is the spice of life and I have to agree, my career thus far has been a winding one full of variety and I don’t intend on changing that anytime soon.

Namita Nayyar:

You have set up your own consultancy. Elaborate the work you are doing in this passionate endeavour of yours?

Lady Violet Manners:

Relationships are at the core of everything we believe. We know that not knowing is the real answer. With not knowing, there are no preconceptions and this allows us to creatively respond to emerging opportunities.

We foster and encourage meaningful and purposeful relationships and emergent approaches. There is no better way, in these times of great uncertainty. We do not work to process, nor do we have systems or fixed ways of working. We tailor what we do to your changing needs and those of your organisation.

Akana Collective collaborates with people who share our purpose and values. Together, with our clients, we will enable meaningful and powerful presence.

Namita Nayyar:

You are leading media personality, model, socialite, businesswoman, marketing and brand-strategy consultant. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?

Lady Violet Manners:

I think as I’ve said variety is the spice of life and if you’re fortunate enough to be born into life where there’s so much opportunity providing you’re willing to work hard and go grab it, it would be the biggest shame and waste not to make the most of what the universe blessed me with.

Namita Nayyar:

What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?

Lady Violet Manners:

Lockdown was a blessing for helping me find and become a CLASS fanatic. A friend introduced me to “The Class by Taryn Toomey” and I haven’t stopped since April. I really have to move my body every day so if I’m short of time I’ll do a Class Focus for 15/20 minutes but if I have plenty of time I’ll get on the mat for an hour, plug in, move, sweat, shout and dance to The Class. I’ve also recently got back into running with a friend which I forgot is totally free & so so much fun!

Namita Nayyar:

Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Lady Violet Manners:

No, I can’t diet and from everything I’ve read and understood over the years I think diet is rarely sustainable and the results often short lived. I love eating food that’s nourishing and works with my body. I am gluten and diary free as of a few years ago.

I do have cheat days with both of these (my intolerances aren’t severe) but generally I stick to this and exercise regularly I usually can keep on top of my weight. Over the years my weight has fluctuated quite heavily, In LA last year I put on a lot of weight which was tough, I was eating everything that I shouldn’t and the effect was crazy but those moments in my life, where I feel disconnected from my body and like it’s working against me, make me all the more appreciative of this year and my body working with me again.

Namita Nayyar:

You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Share with us your hair care and skincare routine.

Lady Violet Manners:

Oh that’s very kind. I really haven’t always – In fact I use to suffer with cystic acne and hair loss between the ages of 18-25 my skin really crippled my confidence. I use to spend hours agonising over how best to cover the new spots that appeared the night before. It was a really mentally challenging time, especially when you’re going to lovely parties with beautiful girlfriends who have glistening skin.

Again now I’ve got better, it has taken me years to get my skin and hair right. I’ve seen healers, Harley street specialists; you name it, none of them worked but the work of Dr Sarah Myhill who’s now a retired doctor and specialist in thyroid. Two summers ago when my hair loss was terrible and skin even worse, she put me on the simplest solution, a natural thyroid supplement and pure vitamin c – Ascorbic acid and I’ve not looked back.

After years of dead end appointments, and countless encounters with ‘specialists’ and blood tests etc., good old fashioned Vitamin C is now my absolute must have. I’ve also started taking JSHealth vitamins for digestions and they’re incredible, an Australian Vitamin brand.

Namita Nayyar:

It is a dream comes true for a model or a personality to appear in the prestigious magazine ‘Tatler’. Tell us more about your experience on getting featured on Tatler.

Lady Violet Manners:

It was a buck list box ticked. I loved the previous editor Kate Reardon and my body was looking amazing and I got to wear Miu Miu and Prada swimsuits with beautiful jewellery. I was in any 24 year old girl’s paradise.

Namita Nayyar:

Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion model girls, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in the field of modeling?

Lady Violet Manners:

Have done some modelling but I’m not a model.

Namita Nayyar:

You have been associated as celebrity ambassador for the Youth charity “The Prince’s Trust” that helps young people to develop the confidence and skills they need to realise their ambitions, so that they can live, learn and earn. The Trust has helped over 950,000 young people to date and supports over 100 more each day. These are all dear to your heart, tell us how you have been able to achieve and quench your thirst of giving back to the society through this endeavour of yours?

Lady Violet Manners:

I’ve been so fortunate to have had connections at my finger tips and when I decided not to go to university, there have been so many people who’ve rallied around me to connect me with people to apply for an internship or a job and get my foot in the door to the world of work.

The Prince’s trust seeks to give people will less advantages the same chance and opportunity and I was and always will be all too happy to work with them because I’ve been so fortunate with my career to date and I love being able to open my world and hopefully help others have the same chance.

Namita Nayyar:

Five travel destinations you wish to go?

Lady Violet Manners:

Japan, Mexico, I’d love to road trip through Italy; I’ve been to Italy and would love to spend more time there, Zimbabwe and Iceland.

Namita Nayyar:

You have visited India a couple of times. What fascinates you the most about India?

Lady Violet Manners:

The people, the spices, their wisdom and knowledge of spirituality and Ayurveda practices. The sunsets and sunrises and the fact that there’s no other time there apart from Indian time. It’s the only place in the world I slow down because life is so hectic over there; there is no option but to go with the current.

Namita Nayyar:

Four fashion brands you love to wear?

Lady Violet Manners:

Celine, Zara, Ralph Lauren and Arket.

Namita Nayyar:

What you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?

Lady Violet Manners:

I think it’s great that you celebrate women and their strength – inside and out.

Namita Nayyar:

Today social media plays a vital role in putting your message across to your followers and fans. What is your message for the 18.8k followers on Instagram?

Lady Violet Manners:

Have faith in yourself, trust in a higher power if you can and want to, and find a pranic hobby or ritual that helps connect you to that calm and steady centre. Try to laugh a lot and loudly and have confine in knowing what’s meant for you will never pass you.
