Mexican Actress Mariana Flores Reveals Her Fitness & Beauty Secrets

Mariana Flores: Exceptionally Talented Mexican actress Reveals her Fitness and Beauty Secrets

Mariana Flores is a Mexican actress. She was born and raised in Los Cabos B. C. S. Soon she started to feel very interested about theater and started to act in plays at school. She took dancing and singing classes and participated in many events at her home town.

Mariana moved to Los Angeles when she was 20 to study acting at the prestigious academy Stella Adler, where famous actors such as Marlon Brandon or Salma Hayek studied.

In Los Angeles she had the opportunity to work in plays with Oscar Winning director Milton Justice in ‘Waiting For Lefty’, where she played the role of The Actress.’12 Angry Jurors’, where she played the 4th jury directed by May Quigley Goodman; “The Rimers of Eldritch” directed by Kennedy Brown, where she played Evelyn Jackson.

In the big screen she worked in the movie ‘Lost Angels’ directed by Multi-Award Winner Stan

Mariana also played the role of Ximena in the TV show D.I.N.K.S and she collaborated with Kincaid Walker and Mathew Stauter. Miss Flores has starred in a number of short films such as “A Good Reason”, “TEST”, “And Then We Laughed”, ” March 15th” and the horror film “El Cucuy”. She has also worked with Oscar winner director Milton Justice.

We’ve seen Mariana Flores in music videos such as “You are Mine” by Jeremih , Sam Tsui “Meant to Be” by Sam Tsui, and ‘Trophy’ by Dell Best.

Mariana was born in Mexico with a treasure of hidden talents. The glory of the Hollywood film and television industry called her from birth. Her frequent visits to the movies as a child inspired her to try her hand at this most competitive of industries. She always knew that she was meant to be a star, and hence nobody could stop this wonderful creature from becoming a part of the glamour of the silver screen.

Having received extensive training from some of the best coaches in both the U.S and Mexico, Mariana integrated her training into many different aspects of her life, and it is reflected in her amazing performances.

Mariana has done it all – stage, screen, web series, music videos, commercials, and more. Her film credits include the drama And Then We Laughed in which Mariana plays a young woman in a mental hospital, Fernando Lincon’s A Good Reason, where Mariana plays the mother of a sick daughter whose husband leaves to find work abroad, Joshua M.

Watson’s March 15, the boxing dramaHang Them Up, and the avant garde comedy Special Delivery, as well as the popular web series DINKS (short for Double Income No Kids), music videos for Def Jam recording artist Jeremih, as well as YouTube sensation Sam Tsui’s Meant to Be and Boston rapper Dell Best’s The Trophy. You can also find Mariana starring in commercials for Nescafe and Pantene.

When asked about her “favorite role thus far” Mariana doesn’t hesitate to say that it’s the lead role of Christina in Fernando Lincon’s A Good Reason. “I found Christina’s complexity, emotionality and supreme energy to be both exhilarating and challenging,” she says. “I had to dig deep to get to Christina’s rage, anger and excitement.”The successful short is currently being developed into a full-length feature.

Mariana’s determination and positivity is infectious. She is a strong believer in not giving up or giving in when the odds are stacked against her. The advice she has for other actors is “if someone doesn’t want to give you a role because of your age, your accent, skin color, race, or illness, you have to move forward with even more determination. You have to realize your own power and not be bothered by what people say about you.” Mariana strives to always live by this rule, and be an example to her loved ones and her fellow artists.

Mariana loves playing “tricky” characters. She brings her characters to life in a way that is sometimes funny, sometimes sad, but always refreshing. Her dream co-star is Meryl Streep whose performances “always touch her heart” – especially in her favorite film Angels in America.

And if taking over the stage and screen is not enough, Mariana also has dreams of directing films. She wants to tell important stories that make people think and ultimately improve the human condition. If she can direct half as well as she acts, I’ll be the first in line to buy my ticket to her directorial debut.

You were born and raised in Los Cabos B. C. S. You were interested in theater and started to act in plays at school. You moved to Los Angeles when you were 20 to study acting at the prestigious academy Stella Adler. Later you amassed a number of television and theater credits, also while in Los Angeles you had the opportunity to work in plays with Oscar Winning director Milton Justice in ‘Waiting For Lefty’ this propelled your professional career to the height where you have been at the top of the world of acting. Tell us about your journey that took you to where you are now in the world of acting?

Ms. Mariana Flores:
Well it is a time where I have to be knocking at doors and look for opportunities, and if one door wasn’t helpful at all continue with the next one, but always be in constant movement, making myself a way and getting more involved in the industry.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have selected a profession of being an actress that requires a lot of hard labor, technical soundness and excellence in different faculties to finally succeed, how do you achieve that?

Ms. Mariana Flores:
I’d say to be disciplined with myself, this is one of the first things that one most do especially because there are many roles that will required to shift parts of me, like my body for example, gain or lose weight, and for that I will have to have a strict discipline to follow the diet that I’ve been given and not fall for the first hamburger place that I bump into.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?

Ms. Mariana Flores:
Well I love hiking, and LA has the most beautiful sunsets I’ve seen, and I was born and raised in a place where the sunsets are amazing, but the fact of working out having such an amazing view and be in contact with nature as well just makes it perfect. I also swim which I really enjoy a lot too.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Ms. Mariana Flores:
I actually hate diets, I think it’s a way to torture your body and mind, I just call it “eat healthy” and work out your mind and body. I do not eat meet, but I eat a lot of grain and vegetables. I’m a fan of salads. I consider myself a person who eats pretty well and once in a while I treat myself with some ice cream.

Pretty much is because I eat very well, washing your hair four times a week is good for it, and for my skin I keep it hydrated all the time almond oil is great for it.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words for our inspiring and budding actresses who all are your fans, what should they do for their climb to the ladder of success in field of acting?

Ms. Mariana Flores:
Keep up with the hard work and always push yourself to do more, start getting involve in many other things in the film industry create your own project and act on them, direct, produce if you want to, that way you will open yourself more opportunities and you’ll expand your craft.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You are leading media personality, theater, film & television actress. How you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?

Ms. Mariana Flores: There is always time for everything but can be hard and overwhelming sometimes, including that I do not only have to manage my professional life but the ones in my personal life as well. I’d say again being disciplined and try always to finish one thing so eventually finish the other one, always finish what I started.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You acted in play with Oscar Winning director Milton Justice in ‘Waiting For Lefty’, where you played the role of The Actress. Elaborate your memorable experience working in the theater?

Ms. Mariana Flores:
One of the things I remember the most is the amazing cast I worked with, eventually we developed a great energy through rehearsals, therefore there was a certain support and comfort among us. The director as well was very supportive with me and everyone, at the end certain nostalgia came when the play came to an end but it was a wonderful experience and I must say the audience was very pleased. We had full house every night.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us more about your endeavor working in the television series “D.I.N.K.S” in the role of Ximena and your collaboration with Kincaid Walker and Mathew Stauter?

Ms. Mariana Flores:
My role was very funny, I was playing a mother who literally mocks Matthews character for having such an odd idea of how a parent should behave or dress, I’m so grateful to Jason Eksuzian the director for letting me participate in his project and working with such a lovely cast was wonderful, everybody was having fun during the project and I felt very flattered working with Kincaid and Mathew, both of them great actors, must say we came up with a pretty funny TV Show.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
