Mel G first hit the industry by storm at the age of 21 through the entertainment industry as a singer/songwriter. Just a few years later, she found her true passion inspiring women through fitness. By age 11, she was pursuing her interest in track and field, earning her placements, awards and high achievements for consecutive years.

Today, Mel is a strong social media influencer with over 800K plus followers on social media and growing. 

Women Fitness President joins the super talented fitness star for a conversation about her favourite meal, intense workouts sessions and lots more!

Define your life as a Fitness Entrepreneur.

Mel G.:

It is definitely a mix of things! Creating multiple e-books, 30 day challenges, partnerships with fitness apparel companies and other brands and their products, and the creation of my new brand leading women empowerment through fitness. 

Namita Nayyar:

A healthy breakfast for you includes?

Mel G.:

4 eggs / 3 of them egg whites. A side of raw uncooked spinach, half of sweet potato and my shot of espresso to start the day! 

Namita Nayyar:

Your favourite fitness icon?

Mel G.:

I love Paige Hathaway! I think that she’s very transparent and dedicated to helping people. Also, her whole structure and how she built her brand. Love it!

Namita Nayyar:

How do you like to train your body? 3 fantabulous exercises for legs, abs & upper body?

Mel G.:

I like to do a lot of carb cycling. Especially when it’s crunch time, my body reacts really well to it.  Also of course pushing heavy weight for the mass. Burpees, mountain climbers and sprints.

Namita Nayyar:

When and what do you have for dinner? And on weekends or cheat days?

Mel G.:

I usually don’t have a set time, just as long as I get all my meals in. Dinner depends on what day it is. Most likely a piece of grilled chicken with hot sauce on the side lol and some greens of any kind. I try to be consistent till Saturday. Then Sunday’s I just eat things I’ve been craving in the week. I still do my cardio though in the am before my extravaganza! 

Namita Nayyar:

What is your skin and hair care routine after a sweaty workout?

Mel G.:

I go straight to the shower and do the norm. Regular face wash and regular full shower.

Your favourite activewear brands are?

Mel G.:

I love Lululemon & Adidas.

How do you prepare a night before a photoshoot?

Mel G.:

I usually cut my carbs out. And also hold back my water intake to an extent. 

Namita Nayyar:

After a long hard-working day, you relax with?

Mel G.:

My candles, phone on silent and a hot bath!

Namita Nayyar:

Social media has grown big now. What is the best part about it?

Mel G.:

I think using your platform to help and inspire others. The freedom to do any of those things!

Supplements of your choice for women looking for weight loss & building strength?

Mel G.:

I don’t have a specific one. But taking your aminos, A good woman’s multivitamin, BCAAs etc. Overall.

Resolutions or goals for 2020?

Mel G.:

Empower and help more individuals with my platforms. And take the new brand (Fit-Esteem) to a whole new level of impact.
