Lets get some exclusive skincare tips from the expert herself in a candid chat with Namita Nayyar, President Women Fitness.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Having traveled the world and experienced different cultures led to your passion for alchemy, fragrance, emotion and healing. Share with us your journey that has brought you to where you are today in the field of skincare?

Ms. Natalie Bolton:

When I look back, I think travel and experiencing different cultures really gave me a different view on life, the human condition, and the tiny threads in between that weave it all together. I think we are visual by nature. We are also sentient beings and it just made sense to add scent to my life experience. Fragrance has been another avenue to express myself in how I see people and the world. Growing up doing philanthropic work in my early teens into adulthood created in me a heart for service to others. I realized as an adult I wasn’t feeling as fulfilled as I had felt in the past when I was contributing to serving others. So, I decided to get into skincare because I was already in love with essential oils and various herbs. I was also a personal trainer for close to a decade. So on the outside looking in it seems I have been all over the map with my career choices; but for me, it all makes sense. All the dots are connecting. Having been a trainer fed my heart to serve people and help them reach goals they really wanted to attain. The research into nutrition as a trainer now fuels much of my skincare practice today. I don’t just treat topically. I challenge my skincare clients to go on an internal healing journey with me that will ultimately reflect in their skin. It all makes sense…to me.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Your inquisitive mind lead you to skincare, healing and eliminating skin issues naturally, helping women embrace their own beauty and teaching them how to be their greatest advocate. Tell us more about your motivation behind starting the brand skinsacred.com?

Ms. Natalie Bolton:

Living in one of the greatest cities on the planet, Los Angeles, I started to notice how painfully unattainable the ideas of “beauty” were that were and are being forced on us at every turn. It is suffocating and it is not just happening in LA, it’s present in every city. It isn’t even real-this ideal, unreachable beauty. I also started to pay attention to how the messages to us are all fear based in regards to “getting beautiful”. Then having the struggle and pressure of “staying beautiful”, as if this “beauty” is only granted to a select, elite few; if you aren’t one of the “chosen” ones then you get left out. It’s all coming from a place of fear. I wanted my contribution in the realm of beauty to be one of celebration, inclusion, empowerment, and pride.

Celebrate each other in our differences. Inclusion of all. There is no one, single standard of beauty.
Empower each other. One day I may be down and need my fellow woman to speak life into me. Tomorrow it may be you and you better believe I will lift you up. We all get insecure from time to time. We all struggle in different areas. Support and empowerment of one another is where it’s at. Pride in the journey we have had the courage to sign up for. In one of my Instagram posts (skinsacredbynataliebolton) I wrote, “Crow’s feet? Ok, so you’ve lived some life and hopefully gained some wisdom in the process. Smile lines? Great! You’ve been fortunate enough to experience joy and happiness. An extra 5 pounds? Awesome, you were able to enjoy loved ones and visit with friends.” Pride in the obstacles and challenges we’ve made it through and to the other side. If we would focus more on our strength, tenacity and the fire in our spirit we would see how freaking gorgeous we are. Stunning, actually. In a world where nothing seems to be sacred anymore our relationship with ourselves, our love for ourselves and our constant improvement in our humanness should remain sacred. From here is where everything else stems…

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Working with clients and women all over the globe you are definitely working towards improving and beautifying the lives of many women. Provide us an insight into a day in your life.

Ms. Natalie Bolton:

About 6 months ago I really got serious about my morning routine. All the greats talk about our habits and the power of having morning rituals. I watched my mom my whole life be really faithful with her morning reading and quiet time. I had a practice, but got really serious and unwavering with it some months back. It has changed my life. Before I get out of bed I think of what I am grateful for. First thing after getting up, I journal, meditate, and pray. I have to wake up very early to fit all of this in but it is more than worth it. For me, my day starts here. Don’t get me wrong, I can still get extremely annoyed from time to time, but my reaction time is much slower and has far less power over me than it used to. Then I sweat. I’m a much better person to myself and everyone else when I sweat. I MUST WORKOUT for my own sanity! Then I go over my goals list and see what can be marked off. Always forefront I think of how I can just show up kindly for at least one person in the day.

I think my mission here on earth goes beyond slapping on a mask and slinging an acne cleanser. It fuels me to give something to someone everyday. Be it offering an ear to a client on my table who needs to process out loud or maybe it’s me staying up past my bedtime researching a healing agent that’s been overlooked to help an insecure teenager who is being bullied at school because of her acne. I am so proud of us women today. I am in complete solidarity with how we are reaching so many new heights with where we are headed.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

There is an ocean of confusing facts related to skincare both online & off-line. You have also talked about integrative therapies. Tell us more about these therapies.

Ms. Natalie Bolton:

Like I stated before, I fully believe in healing with nutritional supplementation. You can only heal so much topically. Not to be mistaken, I am so excited to witness the technology in the realm of facial treatments that continues to expand; it is rather miraculous and remarkable. I am just of the vein of ‘whole’ healing. Inside out. If there is a condition happening on the skin we can always look internally for potential root causes.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Stress is becoming an inseparable part of our life, leading to innumerable skin related issues. For a lady suffering from acne, what would be your easy home skincare tip(s) for her?

Ms. Natalie Bolton:

My first go-to with my acne clients is a probiotic. More often than not most acne sufferers are not on a probiotic. Gut health is vital for everything concerning our skin. I am also a huge advocate of meditation. There are some really great apps that can be downloaded. Getting a handle on our stress and minimizing the damaging effects can be highly beneficial. A lot of times acne is prevalent due to an allergy we have to certain foods we eat. We can look there and do an elimination diet. But to answer your question in regards to products, I love Revision Skincare’s Papaya enzyme cleanser. It brightens and exfoliates gently and enzymatically. I also love the Active serum from IS Clinical, that and their ProHeal is also great for acne clients. I also put all my acne clients on Jenette All Natural Skincare’s Be Clean Oil Elixir. The oil works wonders and is beautifully hydrating. And of course always use sun protection. I love It Cosmetics Illuminating CC cream. The cream has great coverage, it’s light and SPF 50. Win Win Win!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

For years, women have been exquisite about what fragrance you wear which finally led you to establishing www.corpusdeiperfumes.com. It has been a huge success and people are loving your three signature scents. Share with us your hardwork and motivation behind this endeavor of yours?

Ms. Natalie Bolton:

I have always been an alchemist of sorts. I have always leaned in the direction of breaking rules with everything from mixing foods, to scents, and even fashion choices. I think this also rings true with my fragrance decisions. I had been asked so many times by male and female alike, what I was wearing, and being stingy I wouldn’t give up my concoction. In all fairness, it was less about being stingy and more about preserving my own signature expression. I honor that decision for anyone. We all want to express ourselves in our own ways that feel exclusive to only us…(anyway, I digress…). The creating portion was the easy part. The idea around the website and concept of what I wanted the line to evoke was very easy for me. I am a romantic, a dreamer, a feeler, and I unapologetically believe in a love that is so powerful, so carnal and so pure that it transcends to the spiritual. I believe that in essence, is LOVE. I wanted to create how I feel love to be in liquid form, and I get to do so with Corpus Dei. Corpus Dei means “The Body of God” and we are all divine beings put here to love in our highest capacity. It just makes sense to me.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

On the basis of which factors would you rate a woman’s skin- healthy or not? Suggest dietary tips to maintain a younger, healthy looking skin? Is exercise an important contributing factor towards a healthier skin?

Ms. Natalie Bolton:

When it comes to the health of skin I look for dermal impairments such as Rosacea, Eczema, Acne, Premature Aging, Oxidation, and again, I always investigate gut health. I start supporting there. In the case of oxidation I will incorporate various amounts of Vitamin C internally and externally to combat the oxidation and free-radical expression. How thick is a woman’s skin? How vibrant is her glow? Is her skin sallow and lackluster? Are the whites of her eyes bright and clear? I look at all these things and many more in my full assessments. How much good fat is she getting daily? That’s important. And exercise? Don’t even get me started! Exercise is vital for every major body function. It is healing for every organ, and therefore is reflective in a woman’s outer covering. No doubt about it, cardio health, healthy circulation and the practice of sweating daily, 100% contributes to a woman’s skin health and her overall beauty, not to mention, we all carry ourselves a little bit differently when we exercise. I believe the whole design was created this way…So get to steppin’. Start small, don’t overwhelm yourself to to the point you never start. ‘Do-able doses’ is a term I like to use. Make exercising a realistic and sustainable part of your life and there you can have success.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Quote top 5 must-have instant skin care products available in your kitchen as well as on the go?

Ms. Natalie Bolton:

Oh, I love this!
1) Cucumbers. I keep the little Persian cucmbers on hand. I add them to my juices, smoothies, and I eat one on the way to my clients. Totally portable, cukes are full of nutrients and hydration, internally and externally. When I cut them up for my blender I take the ends and place them over my eyes to depuff. The ways to use cucumbers are many!

2) Wild Honey or Manuka Honey. Honey is great for wound healing such as burns, cuts, scrapes. I use wild honey as a face mask or spot treating a pimple. Honey is extremely healing for acne and blemishes with its miraculous antibacterial properties.

3) I have used turmeric in my treatment rooms for years. I put the fresh tumeric in my juices, and put the powder in a homemade mask. It is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory healers on the planet. But be very mindful of how much you use and what you blend it with as you can end up with a VERY YELLOW FACE and a stained pillow case. So user beware! 🙂

4) WATER WATER WATER! I drink Kangen, Spring and Alkaline water. So the water I drink actually absorbs into my cells for real hydration. If you’ve never heard of Kangen water look into it. I go to a place called “The Water Plant” and fill my containers. The owners are extremely passionate about water and the healing effects of water on skin issues, and how good water also can help heal gut diseases. It is beyond miraculous. I also switch my acne clients to wash with this really good water. Put it in a bowl and wash their face this way. It can be a bit tedious but we have had amazing results.

5) Liquid CELL FOOD. I put it in my water and drink throughout the day. It supplies our bodies with much needed oxygen and hydrogen for energy. Also 1 dissolvable tab of Biotin is key!

I have 6) COCONUT OIL is my best friend. HAIR, SKIN, NAILS, you name it Coconut enhances your entire life, period.
