Ms. Namita: As a single mother taking a career in fitness modeling and as a businesswoman can be quite challenging. Kindly tells us how you handled such a challenging situation in your life?

Ms. Natalie: I really wouldn’t say that I have a career in fitness modeling. I have DONE fitness modeling and that has helped with the social proof I needed to launch my own business in health and fitness. When I had hit rock bottom years ago as a new mom going through a divorce, I was truly at my lowest. I was working full time as a sales director and I was feeling unhealthy and out of shape and was going through a depression. Working on ME, getting my body back and working towards goals (one goal at a time) was the process I needed to go through to get out of my rut. That challenging process IS what turned around my life.

Ms. Namita: Share your exercise routine that you do to maintain such a stunning perfect physique?

Ms. Natalie: My workouts are short, intense and sweaty! I get in there and I WORK. Head phones on, hat covering my eyes- intense. I move quickly and do a bunch of intervals. I love jump roping between sets, sprints, box jumps, anything to keep my heart rate up! Other than two dedicated “leg days” I usually work all upper body together circuiting it and putting some cardio intervals in between sets.

Ms. Namita: What is your diet? Do you take a particular fixed regulated diet comprising of nutrients and vitamins to keep you in perfect health?

Ms. Natalie: I eat a natural, unprocessed food diet. If it grew I eat it! Basically I look for foods in its most natural state and I make sure I eat a LOT of fruits and vegetables. Although I do not eat vegetarian, I do eat heavily plant based. I DO avoid gluten (which is the protein found in wheat rye and barley) not only because I am a celiac, but because when eating unprocessed natural foods, those are naturally gluten free anyway.

Ms. Namita: What is your motivation to take a multi-faceted personality of a model, fitness consultant and a fit mother?

Ms. Natalie: What keep me motivated is ME against ME. I want to prove that you can progress and continue working to be your best you at any age. At 42, I refuse to be a victim of age or disease. I do feel I have a knack for explaining things to people simply and that puts me in a place of this being my calling to share what I have learned and practiced with others.

Ms. Namita: What advice you have for mothers who consider you as their role model and wish to be as fit as you?

Ms. Natalie: JUST START! Don’t compare yourself to others and just start. Every step forward is a step in the right direction. Information overload can be so discouraging. Instead of trying to figure EVERYTHING out and to everything at once, look at just a few things you can do each day to move in the right direction. I do have two links I would like to share that address this. 1. My personal transformation story here: http://nataliejillfitness.com/my-story/ and 2. My story about making your own luck here: http://nataliejillfitness.com/you-make-your-own-luck/ also, my 7 day Jump Start Program (http://7DayJumpStart.com) was created for this exact question! I break everything down very simply in the program.

Ms. Namita: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hairs. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hairs to make them look so stunning?

Ms. Natalie: Thank you so much. I feel that eating an unprocessed natural foods diet and loading up on mega doses of fruits and vegetables helps GREATLY with this. I do JUICE whole fruits and veggies on top of eating them daily. I also stay hydrated and only eat organic, nongmo foods and my meats have no antibiotics or hormones added. I truly feel those things coupled with intense exercising are the fountain of youth. I also do not eat processed foods and my refined sugar consumption is very limited. Also, a good hair stylist is a must! I can’t take credit for that one!

Ms. Namita: You in your website write about auto immune disease called Celiac. Tell us about Celiac and advice for women who is diagnosed for the same?

Ms. Natalie: Celiac is an auto immune disease. When you have this, your body does not recognize or process gluten which is the protein found in wheat, rye and barley. When you eliminate those from your diet, all symptoms of celiac go away. I wrote about my entire diagnosis and how I managed the treatment here: http://nataliejillfitness.com/about/being-celiac/

Ms. Namita: You have done fitness, commercial and swimsuit photo shoots. They are bold. What advice you wish to give the women of today to be body confident in order to do such bold modeling?

Ms. Natalie: That it is all about striving for progression not perfection. It is impossible to be PERFECT and it is impossible to be someone else. Work to be your best you and work to constantly improve and progress. Sometimes having a glamorous professional image of yourself can do wonders to improve your confidence as you view yourself in a different light!

Ms. Namita: You started fitness modeling at the age of 39 years. Tell us the challenges and contentment you had when competing with women half your age?

Ms. Natalie: The biggest challenge was that I was competing with women ½ my age. But THAT is what drove me! I was told by so many “you are too old to do this” and I thought “Who says?” and “why not!” There is really no limit to ANYTHING you want to do if you want it bad enough.

Ms. Namita: What you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?

Ms. Natalie: I think it is fabulous! Not only is it easy to navigate and full of great information, but it is a comfortable non threatening site to visit. Information overload can be a real challenge for women wanting to transform their lives. Your site gives great information that is easy to navigate through.
