Becoming Physically Fit for the Year

Madisonville, KY – We are one month into the new year. So, how is the new year’s resolution coming? Have you been able to “Turn over a new leaf, change your lifestyle, or get rid of that bad habit?” Each new year brings a flood of resolutions. Most of us think of the new year as a new beginning and with that, we would like to see something new come into our lives.

Another popular resolution is to loose weight or get some exercise and feel better. There are lots of ways a person can try and loose weight or change to a more healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately, most do complete their goals. One problem could be motivation. It is difficult for most to maintain their motivation to exercise if they are doing it alone. There is a place, however; where you not only have to work on your resolution by yourself, but you can also get the help you need from a professional.

Fitness Formula is a part of the Trover Health Systems in Madisonville. They have four locations in Western Kentucky, Madisonville, Dawson Springs, Princetion and Hopkinsville.

Fitness Formula offers a comprehensive wellness capabilities which include an overall fitness programs and general exercise. The facility also offers one-on-one consultations with personal fitness trainers and related services for persons age 12 and older.

 

There a lot of places that offer fitness services. But there are several features that are unique to Fitness Formula. Exercise Physiologist, Danielle Boswell told iSurf News, “I have found people need motivation to maintain their program and reach their goals.” She said a new member can get help with planning their exercise goals from the staff. A new member may want to loose weight, build muscle or just feel better about themselves and feel healthier. Boswell says they can help with the goals.

Fitness Formula officers an indoor walking track, therapeutic lap pool, gymnasium, weight training and exercise machines as well as free weights.

Boswell demonistrated several of the machines for iSurf. The facility has 36 tredmills- some are equiped with TV’s, stair climbers, rowing machines, stationary bicycles along with a large variety of machines that will help with exercise and weight training.

Director, Kevin Moser told iSurf News that, “Fitness Formula is an exercise facility that offers members a chance at a better lifestyle.” He said that there are many ways that Fitness Formula is different from other exercise facilities. Moser said, “We take care of and maintain our equipment. Every member can enjoy the same level of exercise or workout because the equipment is kept in top working order.”

He said that Fitness Formula is dedicated to helping it’s members with their fitness and exercise plan. If a member reaches a paticular goal, the staff will assist them in building on their goals to reach maximum potential.

Fitness Formula currently has over 3,000 members at their four facilities. The facility offers an open design and state-of-the-art technology and exercise equipment.

The facility also offers classes throughout the week that include, Forever Fitness Class which is for women over 40. It offers Cardiovascular exercising, stretching, and weightlifting.

Pilates, is a core stretch and strength program that helps with balance, abdominals, and to improve posture. There is also a bootcamp class that overs an overall health and fitness program.

Moser told iSurf News that Fitness Formula can help those with pre-existing conditions. He said, “We can design a program that will fit each member’s needs and abilities.” Their exercise physiologist and exercise assistant is trained to design personal fitness program.

Membership is definitely affordable. Membership for singles in $39 a month or $325 a year. For a family of four, membership is $84 a month or just $540 a year. There is also an enrollment fee of $50 for a single membership or $125 for a family of four.

Membership provides access to all the facilities, anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult or in an organized program with a school and must have membership scan card for each visit.
