Women’s Health Issues in Thrombosis & Haemostasis Congress

Berlin – Germany With 600 delegates from 45 different nationalities, the WHITH Congress has had a great success. Stago and Leo Pharma were the two companies with a booth.

This biannual meeting, focusing on novel pathophysiological mechanisms and emerging clinical issues related to haemostasis, thrombosis and vascular biology in women, has become a major event attracting international community of physicians and scientists. Haematologists, Gynecologists, Obstetricians, Cardiologists, Neonatologists and all those involved in research and clinical practice in this rapidly evolving field will find interest in the contents of the meeting.

During this congress, Stago has presented a new test ; Asserachrom VIIa-AT. This innovating product measures tissue factor activation and then a plasmatic coagulation activation. This reagent has been highlighted with a poster written by Doctor Spiezia et al.: Factor VIIa-Antithrombin complexes plasma levels in preeclamptic women. The Thrombin Generation was a major topic with 3 oral presentations and 8 posters.
