Seniors and Adults Who Have Healthy Sexual Appetite Are Much Happier : A study

– Reported, August 09, 2012

If you’re grandma and grandpa seem happier than other grandparents their age it could be because they are having copious amounts of sex.

A recent study has revealed that married couples over the age of 65-years-old are happier than non-sexual partners when they engage in sexual acts.

In the study Scientific American revealed that married couples who had no sex reported being happy with life 40% of the time, while 60% of non-sexual partners reported being “very happy” with their actual marriage.

The study then interviewed sexually active couples who engaged in sex at least more than one time per month. Researchers found that couples who had sex reported being very happy with life in general 60% of the time while they reported being very happy with their actual marriage 80% of the time.

The study did not take into account non-married senior couples over the age of 65-years-old.

Researchers also found that health and financial stability didn’t necessarily change a senior citizen’s responses when engaged or not engaged in sexual activities.

The study was conducted using using a 2004 General Social Surveys poll that analysed the sexual responses of 238 married seniors over the age of 65.

According to their study seniors who engaged in sexual activities more than one time per month tended to be happier and healthier than their non-sex counterparts.
