NN:

What does surfing mean to you?

TB:

Surfing to me translates to freedom, self love, and commitment. It is a part of my life and has been since I can remember. It is as much a part of me as anything else in my life.

NN:

Do you like working out indoors or outdoors?

TB:

Both! I love being nature, but I also love being cozy in my own home.

NN:

3 Favorite Yoga Asanas.

TB:

Hatha Yoga Pose, Vrikshasana and Trikonasana.

NN:

When did you decide to go Vegan? Why?

TB:

About 5 years ago I watched “Behind Glass Walls” on YouTube and the next morning I went vegan! I remember I spent most of that night in tears. I believe I have stuck with this lifestyle because I love animals! Also, it is awesome that by eating a plant based diet, I am benefitting my health and the environment.

NN:

Your breakfast comprises of…

TB:

I love to start of my morning with a green juice or a protein shake (with fruit and Vegansmart plant protein, who I am an ambassador for). If I am craving something a little more warm, I make avocado toast or oatmeal with fresh fruit and almond milk!

NN:

Biggest surfing inspiration?

TB:

All the women on the WSL tour (World Surf League) inspire me so much! I am working so hard to qualify for the world tour…which is my ultimate life goal.

NN:

Detox drinks that work best for you.

TB:

All the greens 🙂

NN:

5 Favorite swimwear brands.

TB:

Honestly I do not have any favorites! As long as the bikini fits my body well and is tight enough to surf in, I am content with it. Since I am active when I am in swimwear, fit is everything.

NN:

What does Women Fitness mean to you?

TB:

Women fitness to me translates to confidence, courage, and commitment.

NN:

How do you like to spend your days off?

TB:

Lots of Yoga, a beach day with my friends, and then movie time!

NN:

Best vegan snacks? List any 3.

TB:

Coconut + chia seed + mango popsicles, nacho “cheese” kale chips, and quinoa cocoa puffs.

NN:

Top 5 things you take while going on a surf?

TB:

Gratitude, love, appreciation, peace, and happiness.

NN:

How is your preparation for the 2020 Olympic Games going?

TB:

I will keep pushing as hard as I can! I know it takes a lot of dedication to reach my goals, so I have to give it 110% !

NN:

Which has been your best modelling experience?

TB:

Shooting for TCL TVs recently was one awesome experience. They put me in a beautiful suite in Cabo, got me a jet ski assist to catch as many waves as I wanted, and provided me with yummy vegan food throughout the day!

NN:

Myths about surfing that need to be busted?

TB:

I have actually gotten this question before and I did not know how to answer it!! I suppose the myth that women don’t surf as well as men is one that definitely needs to be broken. The girls these days are ripping and can keep up with the best!
