Fitness video: Rosa Acosta! (2009)
It’s been nearly two years since we first watched the infamous Rosa Acosta stretching video, and our reaction is still the same: jaws on the floor and hands in our…actually, never mind.
This video is five minutes’ worth of sweaty, stretchy, wood-creating flawlessness. It’s amazing—so much so, in fact, that we won’t even bitch about the DVD’s $40 price tag. As for Acosta herself, we’re not sure what other talents she might have other than stretchy videos, but, trust, she has done enough already.
Brook’s picture soon began appearing in other lads’ mags such as GQ, Loaded and FHM. In April of the same year, a poll over 5,000 women for Grazia magazine considered her to have the best British female body. She also topped the ‘FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World’ list in 2005, which was said to have polled 15 million people. Appearing in this list every year since 1998, she ranked No.34 in 2008, No.67 in 2009 and No.7 in 2010. She was the cover star of FHM’s World Cup 2010 special issue, and was on the cover of the magazine in April 2011.
In February 2007, it was announced that Brook had signed a contract, reported to be worth around £1m, to represent Unilever’s Lynx bodyspray, known as “Axe” in the US and in continental Europe. She has appeared on billboards, in newspapers and on-line as part of their advertising campaign. She has also appeared in commercials for Sky + and T Mobile and modelled for Reebok.
In 2010, she was chosen as the “new face and body” of lingerie maker Ultimo’s advertising campaign. In September 2010, Brook appeared in the American edition of Playboy magazine. In October 2010, Kelly Brook appeared live at Clapham Picture House to surprise cinemagoers as part of a promotion for Carlsberg and Sky 3D. In November 2010, Brook presented an award at MTV’s EMA’s in Madrid. Brook produces her own line of swimwear with New Look, which she herself has modelled.
Kelly Brook has it going on! In addition to consoling her nation after their World Cup fizzle—her way of consoling involves bikinis and beaches—she’s launching some weird new fitness program for Reebok .
First the exercise thing—looks like a giant rubber band; stretch it while wiggling about and presto! you look like Kelly Brook. Kelly: “OK, gells, are you ready to do the Jukari Fit to Flex wotkout?”
Well, here’s how “it” works—Kelly Brook is famous for, well, being hot. She is not, as is often reported, a “Page 3 Girl” in the usual sense—yes, she appeared in the Daily Star early in her career, but she didn’t pose topless. In fact she has only once posed completely topless, although she appeared hella topless in the great bad film Survival Island, which she made with longtime boyfriend/fiance Billy Zane. She and Zane broke up, leaving Brian Austin Green in sole possession of “Luckiest Man in Hollywood” title. And despite what you have read around World Cup time, she is not really a WAG—her most recent boyfriend was rugby player Danny Cipriani, but we can’t think rugby really counts. She is just really damn hot. She wins all sorts of “best body in the UK” polls, and it’s not just because she has amazing breasts—nope, that pert bum is pretty much unmatched, as well.
Kelly Brook is famous for her enviable proportions – and now she is looking better than ever.
There’s nothing artificial about her curves but as the TV host and pin-up gets older she is determined to keep in great shape.
Like many women, Kelly never really had a fitness regime and found working out boring — until she discovered a new programme with enjoyment at its core.
As she made an exclusive exercise video for us, she told Fit Squad: “I’m turning 30 this year and my aim is to be in the best shape ever. I’ve always liked to try to stay in shape but have never been very good at sticking to a routine.
“It has made such a difference training with someone who makes exercise fun and enjoyable but at the same time knows how to get the best results.”
Kelly has been working with Tamayah Ahmad, Reebok UK’s No1 fitness instructor.
A survey of 15,000 women in 25 countries by the sports firm found 64 per cent are bored with their fitness regimes. So Reebok are campaigning to put the fun back into fitness.
The message is that being active and working out doesn’t always have to be about spending hours in the gym. Kelly said: “There is no point forcing yourself to do something you don’t enjoy. “Since I’ve been training with Tamayah I have been looking forward to our sessions and can’t wait to get out there. “The best thing is the variety of exercise we do together — one session we might box for a bit, the next might be lots of skipping and then aqua aerobics. “When we train in the gym or the studio we crank up the music and go for it. “It means I’m never bored and it keeps me motivated. I think it’s always important to make the effort to look good, even in the gym.
“It gives you an instant confidence and puts a smile on your face. And make sure you wear comfortable clothes — there’s nothing worse than having to keep fidgeting around when exercising.
Leaping into action … Kelly’s found a fun way to keep fit. “I’ve learned a lot from Tamayah. Her philosophy is just to ‘get up and move’. “Whatever way you want to, you can keep in shape if you just move your body. Keep things varied to keep motivated. “I also like to eat well. I enjoy healthy food and it makes me feel good.
“But it’s definitely not about crazy diets and I’m not going to deny myself desserts. “I always try to have three meals a day and don’t snack on bad stuff. I like to make soups, which are healthy, filling and don’t make you feel bloated. “I also love making healthy fish or vegetarian dishes. ”Fitness guru Tamayah said: “Since Kelly has been training with me she has seen some brilliant results including improved strength, tone and definition, improved cardiovascular fitness and bags of energy. “One of the secrets to keeping fit is attitude — if you feel positive you will get so much more out of it. “The best way to stay in shape is to have fun and be active, whatever size, shape or level of fitness you are.
“The key to getting in shape like Kelly is to combine cardio for calorie burning and toning exercises to really sculpt the body.”
Fitness video: JUKARI Fit To Flex (2010)
Kelly Brook is yet another Brit who really deserves to get more shine over here in the states. Can’t say she that hasn’t tried, though. Not only did she participate in the workout video you see above, but she has also modeled for Reebok, showed off those splendid British breasts in Playboy, and then generously showed the goodies again in Piranha 3D.
Her official website is at http://www.kellybrook.com/
In 2010, she became the host and executive producer of Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model. She is currently the host and an executive producer NBC’s Fashion Star.
Your Personal Best Workout With Elle MacPherson was patterned after Making of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, but the workout is challenging, fun, and easy to follow. Fitness pro Karen Voight leads an upbeat routine that alternates between aerobics and body sculpting. Macpherson is little more than window dressing, but with her perfect body, Julia Roberts smile, and childlike enthusiasm, this 56-minute session flies by.
Supermodel Elle Macpherson may be a Fashion Star on the new show she hosts and executive produces (premiering Tuesday, March 13 on NBC), but to us, she’ll always be a fitness star!
After all, the 6-foot-tall stunner is nicknamed “The Body” for a reason. With curves in all the right places and long, lean legs that seem to go on for miles, it’s safe to say the 5-time Sports Illustrated cover girl has one ah-may-zing bod.
But we admit. It’s easy to assume Macpherson’s famous physique is the result of hours upon hours of intense daily workouts and some serious calorie cutting. Well, here’s the good news—according to her superstar trainer James Duigan, that’s not the case!
“My approach doesn’t involve calorie-counting or spending hours in the gym. Rather, it’s creating a way of life,” Duigan says. “Exercise is there to make you feel better, but to be constantly exhausted and tired is not what it’s about.”
Duigan, who has trained the 47-year-old beautiful Aussie for the last 15 years, has designed a metabolic program that can be done in as little as 20 minutes. Knowing most of us have very busy lives, his program is devised of a series of resistance exercises to burn fat and calories, improve posture, and increase strength without having to put your body through unnecessary stress, or worse—burning out.
Combined with an organic, natural, and very simple approach to eating with lots of green veggies, fruits, and lean meats, “you’ll always feel empowered and good about yourself. You’ll never feel hungry and you’ll actually be having fun!” Duigan says.
“My motto is work smarter, not harder! Elle is one of the busiest people I know. We do what we can, when we can. Sometimes that will be 20 minutes a day, other times it will be an hour-long session. She’s not obsessive about it.”
For Macpherson, with two boys, a new show, and several other successful businesses to run, it’s clear she has a very organic approach to her health. The key, says Duigan, is all about balance… in a non-gimmicky, straightforward way.
“Take up some tennis, swimming, or surfing lessons,” he says. “Do something to add value to your life. You’re never going to look back and say, ‘if only I had more time on that treadmill in my basement.’ If you have a healthy relationship with food and exercise, the results you want will come.”
There’s no question we are lovin’ that philosophy! For a sneak peek at Duigan’s fabulous 20-minute.Macpherson has received a number of awards recognizing her business acumen and the success of Elle Macpherson Intimates. In 2005, she was named Glamour Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year; in 2007, she received an Everywoman Ambassador Award recognizing her success as a businesswoman; in 2008, the Underfashion Club’s Femmy Awards crowned her Lingerie Designer of the Year; in 2009, she received a World Career Award from the Women’s World Awards. In July 2010, Macpherson became the new host of Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model, taking over from Lisa Snowdon. She also serves as executive producer on the show. The revamped show’s panelists now include OBE-winning fashion designer Julien Macdonald, designer Whitney Port and male model Tyson Beckford.
Macpherson travelled to New York City, where she initially signed up with Click Model Management.Macpherson’s modelling career began in 1982 with a television commercial for Tab which established her as a “girl next door” figure in Australia. By 1986, Time magazine had already put her on the cover (with a feature entitled “The Big Elle”). By that time, she had also appeared on the covers of Cosmopolitan, Elle, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, and Playboy.
Macpherson cemented her high profile through frequent appearances in Elle, where she appeared in every issue for six straight years. During that time, at the age of 21, she married Gilles Bensimon, the creative director of Elle.
Eventually she gained even more exposure through Sports Illustrated magazine’s annual Swimsuit Issue. She appeared on the cover a record five times: 1986, 1987, 1988, 1994, and 2006. Along with Naomi Campbell, she co-hosted the Miss Universe 2001 pageant. Her popularity had reached such a level that Australian government offered her a position on its tourist commission as an unofficial ambassador. Macpherson returned to the runway in 2010 to close the fall Louis Vuitton show for Marc Jacobs in Paris.

Fitness videos: Dance With Julianne: Cardio Ballroom (2009), Dance with Julianne: Just Dance! (2010) Man, it doesn’t get much more girl-next-door than Julianne Hough. The country singer and two-time Dancing With The Stars winner just glows with cheer, giddiness, and all that silly sweet shit. Even though we got a lot of love for Hough, we have to admit that her workout DVDs are kind of a fail. We can’t imagine too many couch potatoes keeping up with her movies without breaking their necks.
In June 2012, Hough told AOL’s The Boot that her second album was “completely done” and that she was initially “really, really looking forward to the record.” However, she also stated that, due to the underperforming lead single and having “a lot of momentum” in her film career, there are no plans to release Wildfire. She does intend to resume focusing on her music career at some point, though: “I feel like when I have the time to focus on it, and when I feel like it is the right time, I’ll return to my music,” she said
Hough’s first acting job was in 2001’s Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (released as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in the U.S.), the film adaptation of British author J. K. Rowling’s bestselling novel. She appeared in an uncredited role as a “Hogwarts schoolgirl”.
Hough appears in the 2010 musical Burlesque, starring Cher and Christina Aguilera. In the film, which chronicles a small-town girl (Aguilera) who finds success at a Los Angeles burlesque club. Hough plays a dancer named Georgia.
Hough’s first leading role was as Ariel Moore in the 2011 remake of the Paramount film Footloose, opposite Kenny Wormald as Ren McCormack. Filming began in September 2010.
Hough played the role of Sherrie Christian in the 2012 film adaptation of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages, alongside Tom Cruise and Mary J. Blige.
Hough is currently filming her starring role in Nicholas Sparks’ Safe Haven, which is expected to be released on February 13, 2013.
Hough is also set to star in an untitled 2013 Diablo Cody film about a woman who loses faith after being burned. Her Rock of Ages co-star Russell Brand also stars.
Renée’s most recent accomplishment was serving as the first ever sideline reporter for ESPN at the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island New York, which was watched live by over 2 million people. She also hosts for Comcast Entertainment Group’s daily online news show E! News Now, and Spike TV specific red carpet events (Scream, VGA, Guy’s Choice), E3, CES, AEE and Comic-con features.
Prior to taking the industry by storm Renée surprised fans by showing off her extensive dance ability by being featured in the opening scene of the 2010 blockbuster film Ironman 2, starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Renée’s talents are not limited to only working in front of the camera. From 2007-2009 she worked behind the camera and microphone as a writer, producer and on air radio/television co-host for Mile High Sports, local Denver sports enriched mediums. Renée became known as the knowledgeable but sassy “girl next door type” who really knows her stuff. Self proclaimed fan before statistician, Renée truly loves sports and the entertainment value of them.
Before Renée’s television and radio success, she worked for the National Football League under the Denver Broncos Football Organization building her skills while she cheered on the field as a member of the 2000-2006 team, and additionally off the field as part of the Marketing and Community Relations Departments.
Renée grew up in Aurora, CO a suburb just outside of Denver. She claims she was and still is a ”tomboy in a tutu”; truly embodying her girly side as well as her gritty dynamic, and says her upbringing will forever keep her feet firmly planted on the ground. Renée now resides in Manhattan Beach, CA.
Fitness video: Paula Abdul’s Cardio Cheer (2006)
We love uncovering little diamonds in the rough. And who should we find, nestled in one of Paula Abdul’s newer, and shittier, workout videos but Renee Herlocker. Herlocker is a model from the Denver area who spent six years cheering for her Denver Broncos. She is also absurdly hot, just in case you couldn’t tell. Makes us wonder what other jewels are hidden up in those mountains.

Fitness video: Baywatch – Beach Body Workout (2007)
Damn, we didn’t realize people still use the Baywatch brand to sell shit. But, lo and behold, in 2007, the show’s producers teamed up with ex-The Price Is Right model Lauren Jones for the release of Baywatch – Beach Body Workout.
Watching a clip really does make us reminisce about those sexy Barker’s Beauties. Jones would have been fantastic on Baywatch, too. She has that perfect blend of hotness, blonde hair, big breasts, and vapidness one needed to stand alongside The Hoff.

Zuzana, an incredibly fit and gorgeous Czech woman, is filmed and photographed by her boyfriend Freddy whilst performing a variety of different exercises and cooking demonstrations. The filmography and techniques, however, are definitely not what you remember from your Jane Fonda VHS days. Sure we all snickered as Jane and Co. tightened their buns while pelvic thrusting or when Suzanne Sommers made the crotch shot a late night staple with her Thighmaster infomercials but Bodyrock.tv takes it to a whole new level. Videos often start with a shot of Zuzana’s ample cleavage on display and then zoom out to show the food. Workout moves are illustrated by pictures of her wearing a sports bra half on/half off and a miniskirt.
I’ll admit to a love-hate with the site. As a woman in the fitness industry, it bothered me that sex was the main selling point and a mostly unclothed female body was the main advertisement. I prefer to tout exercise as a way to better physical, mental and spiritual health. Bor-RING, I know. But women’s bodies can do a variety of amazing feats and the sexual ones have been pretty well covered, I think.
Zuzana is no mere sex toy bopping around the studio in legwarmers, though – girl gets crazy sweaty and has sculpted muscles that are the envy of any fitness competitor. She is serious about her workouts and her health. She works really hard and has earned all her accolades. I have to respect that.
The controversy in this whole thing enters the discussion the first time you google Zuzana. There’s a reason she knows how to drape herself so seductively over a chair: she worked for years as an erotic model. Something, she says now in an interview with a German fitness magazine, she really regrets. The interview includes an honest, raw look at the porn industry machine that chews up and spits out so many Eastern European girls, just like Zuzana. She explains,
” It is a trap that a lot of young girls in eastern Europe fall into and I feel very lucky to have survived the experience, because many girls don’t. When you see these girls in the pictures smiling almost like they are happy having their clothes off and being exposed like this – it is the biggest lie of all. I have never met a single girl who was happy to be doing that job. Contrary to popular belief these girls don’t make a lot money doing this and they end up broken inside and left with no self-confidence or feelings of self worth. Many of them turn to drugs and alcohol to help numb the pain.”
Even worse, Zuzana adds, is that the system is set up that way on purpose.
“The only people who benefit from the wreckage of all these lives are the photographers and the multinational corporations like visa and mastercard who pocket money every time images of one of these girls is sold online.”
After breaking free of the industry that she says almost killed her, she has overcome her past feelings of guilt, despair and shame – common to all victims of sex crimes – to create a life ” full of love and happiness.” She’d adds, ” I have a dream about doing something to help stop the cycle of exploitation that feeds on these young girls and destroys their lives.”
While I don’t plan on filming my next exercise movie in a tiny tube top or storing my interval timer in my cleavage a la Zuzana (how does it not get ruined from the sweat? Am I the only girl with seriously sweaty cleavage??) her message of strength, resilience and living life on her own terms is one I can definitely get behind. No more waffling for me: I love her. I hope she accomplishes her dream.
Fitness video: BODYROCK.tv (2009)
A girl like Zuzana makes us ask the important questions in life, like: Can a woman be too ripped? The answer is yes, of course, they can. Once you cross that line, there’s no going back. Zuzana lives on this line.
Even though she’s straight granite and has the arms of a UFC fighter, there is something about Zuzana’s athletic determination and accent that makes us dig this chick. (We’re also sexual deviants, so that probably plays a part in it somewhere.)

It’s not all that shocking to see Kim Kardshian on a “hot girl” list; she is one of the baddest chicks in the game (Duh!). But it is kind of shocking to see her involved with something workout-related. Kim K has never been known for her tight physique, though her body has been recognized for other qualities.
Still, she made a series of workout DVDs in 2009 that fattened her wallet and hopefully helped some sap lose weight. Best part of the series: The fact that it’s called “Fit Into Your Jeans,” like we’re going to pretend Kim can fit that gigantic ass into some jeans.

Fitness video: Totally Fit (2009)
There’s a common dominator between most stars of workout videos: lack of relevancy. Rarely does someone film one when they’re at the peak of their career. Usually they’re trying to get on or keep themselves in the public eye.
Just take a look at our girl Mel B over here. Totally Fit was released after all of her Eddie Murphy drama, and she was clearly trying to stay newsworthy. We have to say, though, she looks hot as hell in this video. Look at the great things you could do with Eddie Murphy’s money.
Melanie Brown, best known to audiences as Mel B of the Spice Girls, is a chart-topping musical artist, actress, author, television personality and groundbreaking entrepreneur.
Currently, Mel B is in Australia filming “The X Factor” where she is has joined the show in its second season as one of the four judges. She was a guest mentor to the contestants in the first season.
Last Year, Mel B joined Oxygen as host of the second season of the hit dance/weight-loss competition series “Dance Your Ass Off,” which was a huge hit for the network. Along with her husband and children, she also starred in a reality series for The Style Network called “Mel B: It’s a Scary World,” which let viewers get to know the family and see how Mel manages a multi-faceted career, raises her family and still finds time for her husband.
Mel B has hardly ever been shy, evidenced by her vast and ever-expanding list of accomplishments. Best known for her role as a Spice Girl, she can also add author, fashion leader, television personality, stage star, philanthropist and mom to her list of credits. As far as supermodels go, they don’t get much more famous than Cindy Crawford was during the ’90s. Everything from her mole to the relationship with her hamster-loving husband, Richard Gere, was public fodder. Throughout those years, Crawford released numerous workout tapes, which were all big sellers for the model. Women dug them because they wanted to look like Crawford; dude’s enjoyed them because they wanted to fap to Crawford. Oh, the life of a supermodel.
Crawford is 5 feet 9 inches tall, with brown hair and eyes. Her measurements are 34″-25.5″-36″. Crawford’s trademark is a mole (or “beauty mark”) above her upper lip. She is so closely associated with this physical feature that she appeared in an advertising campaign for chocolates featuring commercials wherein she “licked off” her own mole. During the beginning of her career, the mole was removed from her earlier modeling pictures, including her first Vogue cover. Her resemblance early in her career to model Gia Carangi led her to being known as “Baby Gia”.
Crawford has also been on TV and in films. From 1989 to 1995, Crawford was host of MTV’s House of Style. In the early 1990s, Crawford starred in the Pepsi and Pepsi Stuff advertising. In 1995, Crawford broke into movies as the female lead in the movie Fair Game. Her performance was panned by critics—Leonard Maltin commented “In her acting debut, supermodel Crawford makes a good jogger.” The film was also a financial failure, with expenses of $50 million and $11 million takings at the box office. In 2001, she costarred as part of an ensemble cast in The Simian Line. Again the film was not successful or critically acclaimed, but Crawford’s acting was not criticized. She has had many lesser roles guest starring on TV and as supporting roles, often playing herself. For example, in 2000, she was one of the celebrities (along with Victoria Silvstedt, Anna Falchi and Megan Gale) playing themselves in the Italian comedy Bodyguards – Guardie del corpo.
In July 1988, she posed nude for Playboy magazine in a shoot by photographer Herb Ritts. In October 1998, Crawford returned to the pages of Playboy for a second nude pictorial, again taken by Ritts.
Crawford has consistently ranked highly on lists of the world’s sexiest people. She was ranked number 5 on Playboy’s list of the 100 Sexiest Stars of the 20th century. A 1997 Shape magazine survey of 4,000 picked her as the second (after Demi Moore) most beautiful woman in the world. In 2002, Crawford was named one of the 50 Most Beautiful People by People magazine. In her forties, she claimed No. 26 in the 2006 Hot 100 issue of Maxim magazine.
