This time next year, Kim Kardashian will be celebrating Mother’s Day with a little one by her side. But for now, pregnant Kim Kardashian is pretty terrified about what’s to come and the reality star – who is due in July – isn’t afraid of sharing her raw feelings on the matter, baring her vulnerability to the public. ‘As I’m counting the days until I finally get to be a mother, I’m a bit nervous and anxious,’ the 32-year-old reality star posted on her blog Sunday, continuing, ‘but also excited knowing that I learned from the very best.’
The ‘baby mama’ of Kanye West went on to give thanks to her mother Kris Jenner, 57, and sister Kourtney Kardashian, 34, for their maternal inspiration. ‘My mom is a strong and ambitious career woman that despite her busy schedule and the millions of things she has going on, she still manages to put family first and continues to look out for us everyday.’
The brunette beauty explained how ‘motherhood is a gift’ and can be quite challenging when trying to juggle that with a career and hectic lifestyle.
But at least she’s surrounded by motivational figures to lend support and guidance. ‘I’m honored to follow in her footsteps and make her proud like I am of her,’ Kim gushed about her mum, a mother-of-six. Kim’s sister Kourtney – who has two children of her own, Mason and Penelope – has also been a strong mentor.
‘She is super woman with her ability to effortlessly balance work with taking care of two amazing kids and I am so lucky to have her as my guide and confidant as I too become a mother,’ the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star said about Kourtney, ‘the most incredible mom.’ Making sure not to miss any of her role models, Kim also gave a quick shout-out to her grandmother MJ. The mother-to-be recently expressed her concerns to Fabulous magazine, saying that she’s worried when it comes to the privacy and protection of her unborn child. But she takes comfort in the fact that her ‘little sisters (Kendall and Kylie Jenner) have grown up so amazingly, with really good heads on their shoulders,’ despite growing up in the limelight.
She spent yesterday taking care of her boyfriend’s injured forehead after he ran into a ‘caution’ sign. On Saturday Kim Kardashian left Kanye to fend for himself as she headed out for a productive Saturday in Beverly Hills, including a training session and lunch with a friend. Kanye looked grumpy as he left his pregnant girlfriend’s house in the morning, sporting a nasty mark where the sign had in fact broken his skin, but Kim wasn’t about to let the day get away from her.
Clearly on a mission, the 32-year-old was dressed head to toe in black Nike workout attire, along with white running shoes. The outfit was as figure-hugging as can be, proving that the mother-to-be is not at all afraid to hide her growing baby-bump. It looks as though the night before may have been rather exhausting following Kanye’s run-in with the sign, because apparently Kim did not have time to re-do her hair. Her elegant side-braid was still intact from yesterday, but was still just as flattering on the brunette.
The morning got off to a slightly slippery start as Kim dropped her Blackberry on the concrete floor of a parking lot. Hopefully the rule that ‘bad things come in three’s’ does not apply: after Kanye’s collision yesterday, the phone-drop may not be a good sign. Kim was calm despite risking damage to her pricey phone, which fortunately did not appear to be badly damaged.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star then made her way to Beverly Hills eatery Chin Chin to meet her BFF Brittny Gastineau for lunch. Heavily pregnant Kim proudly showed off her baby bump as she crossed the street, with large sunglasses framing her relatively make-up free face. With both ladies in workout attire, perhaps exercise was next on the agenda after lunch.
Kim’s 35-year-old boyfriend Kanye looked more grumpy than usual as he left her house on Saturday morning in Los Angeles sporting a giant protrusion just below his hairline.
The bump was especially prominent from a distance as it protruded in a mound from his forehead. Up close, it was clear that he had broken skin when he walked into the Beverly Hills signpost as there appeared to be two scabs that had formed over the injury.
Kanye was dressed down in baggy dark jeans, a grey hoodie and white-and-grey Nike trainers while carrying a portable device and his cellphone. He was likely still recovering after Friday’s painful – and somewhat embarrassing – incident, which occurred as he and Kim made their way into Vietnamese eatery in 9021 Pho in Beverly Hills. He was busy chatting to his girlfriend when he walked into the signpost, immediately bending over in pain as he placed his head in his hands.
Making the incident even more embarrassing was the fact that the sign was emblazoned with a warning that read: ‘Caution: Watch For Pedestrians’. The Touch The Sky rapper was left with an abrasion in the middle of his forehead and was clearly not impressed. As he became more and more enraged, paparazzi checked to see if he was okay, but Kanye appeared not to be left with any serious injuries.
It has been the most closely guarded secret surrounding the Duchess of Cambridge’s pregnancy – the day on which the Royal baby is expected to be born. But now The Mail on Sunday can disclose that Kate has been given an official due date of July 13. Mystery has shrouded the expected date of birth ever since Kate was rushed into the King Edward VII hospital with severe morning sickness in December, early in the pregnancy.
Because of her illness, the Palace was forced to announce she was expecting before she had undergone her 12-week scan. It meant no one outside Kate and William’s close circle knew exactly how far the pregnancy had progressed. A friend of the pair revealed: ‘Some of Kate and William’s closest pals were at a barbecue hosted by a family friend of the Royals recently.
‘They were all discussing the fact that Kate’s baby is due to be born on July 13. Everyone was very excited.’ Unfortunately, the birth due date falls in the middle of the Coronation Festival, a four-day celebration to mark 60 years since the Queen was crowned, 16 months after being proclaimed Monarch on her father’s death. The festival, expected to rival last year’s jubilee revelries, runs from July 11 to July 14 – meaning William and Kate are almost sure to miss out.
Opera singer Laura Wright, who will perform in the gardens of Buckingham Palace, joked: ‘I had better not sing too many high notes?. what if my singing made her go into labour?’ The baby is expected to be delivered in the private Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington – the same place William was born – under the supervision of Royal gynaecologists Alan Farthing and Marcus Setchell.
Just after the pregnancy was announced in December, bookmakers were taking bets on whether the baby might share a birthday with Princess Diana, July 1. Now it appears the child will have a birthday closer to the Duchess of Cornwall’s, on July 17. Unless the baby is more than nine days late, it will be born under the same cancer star sign as Diana, an avid astrology follower.
July 13 is also the birthday of satirist Ian Hislop, actor Harrison Ford, painter Frida Kahlo and even Julius Caesar – although some historians argue that he may have been born the day before. Proposed changes to the rules of succession will mean that if the baby is a Princess, she will be third in line to the throne, regardless of whether she has a younger brother.
But The Mail on Sunday recently revealed Kate had purchased a pale blue Bugaboo buggy, fuelling speculation the child will be a boy. A Palace spokesman said last night: ‘We have only said that the Duchess is due in July. Anything further would be speculation.’
Halle Berry is currently four months pregnant with her second child. And Halle Berry flaunted her growing bump and bosom in a purple-ombré halter maxi-dress for Mother’s Day lunch at Riva Bella in West Hollywood. The 46-year-old Oscar winner, who’s due in the fall, was joined by her fiancé Olivier Martinez and five-year-old daughter Nahla.
The happy trio all dressed lightly for the 83-degree weather as they headed inside the restaurant. The glowing mother-to-be accessorised her snug maternity wear with sunglasses, flip-flops, and various beaded necklaces nestled between her substantial cleavage. Shy Nahla wore her hair in pigtails and rocked a colourful-striped tank dress with ultra-cute T-strap sandals. Meanwhile her 47-year-old fiancé of three years looked ruggedly handsome in his red plaid shirt and loose blue jeans.
What I love about Mother’s Day is Mom doesn’t have to plan it,’ Halle told reporters before hosting the 20th Annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women on Saturday. ‘My family gets together and they get to plan the day for me, and I love that. I’m the planner and I’m the one that organizes. And on Mother’s Day I get to just be taken care of.’
Berry is not aware of whether Nahla will be having a little sister or brother. ‘We don’t know what we’re having,’ the Cloud Atlas actress teased. ‘We’re having a baby, that’s for sure.’
The Revlon spokeswoman looked sporty in figure-hugging black exercise pants, a white T-shirt and a Revlon tracksuit top as she posed at the event, which was held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at Exposition Park. Not seen was Sunday was Nahla’s birth father – Halle’s ex-partner Gabriel Aubry. She and the French-Canadian model came to a custody agreement last November preventing her move to France. Her Frenchman beau Olivier has been hard at work on two period films – the romantic drama Deauville with Isabella Rossellini and the adventure drama The Physician with Ben Kingsley.
The Monster’s Ball star can currently can be seen in the Brad Anderson thriller, The Call alongside Abigail Breslin, which hit theatres in March. Berry’s next project will be the highly-anticipated sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past. Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar winner Anna Paquin, Peter Dinklage, Michael Fassbender, and Hugh Jackman also star in the flick due out July 18 of next year.
Coleen Rooney husband Wayne has played for Manchester United since 2004 and has enjoyed a close relationship with manager Sir Alex Ferguson during that time.
So it was no surprise that on Sunday Coleen Rooney and her son Kai were on hand to watch Fergie’s final home game against Swansea with Wayne, who was not included in the squad. And not letting the fact she is about to pop get in the way of her WAG duties the 27-year-old even wore the colour red, as did her little boy. Unconcerned about the rain the clothes designer clad her bump into a tight red dress which was the perfect item to show off her pregnancy.
She teamed the dress with a floral jacket and black leggings, while she completed her look with a red Chanel bag that finished off her tribute. Kai meanwhile was also wearing red in tribute to his father’s manager and wore a red raincoat with a pair of little red football boots. Not only was it Sir Alex’s final game but Wayne, who was not included in the game, was receiving his fifth league trophy. Ahead of the game he tweeted: ‘Looking forward to today’s game. Excited to lift the trophy and receive my 5th league medal.’
While Coleen was equally excited, writing: ‘Good morning!!! Awake bright and early. Kai is so excited to see Daddy get the trophy and his medal today.’
Sir Alex Ferguson received a thunderous applause as he walked out during the home game after 27 years as boss. The 71-year-old Manchester United manager, who has overseen a whopping 13 Premier League title successes as well as two Champions League victories, announced his retirement last week. Sir Alex stated in Sunday’s programme notes: ‘I must pay tribute to my family. Their love and support has been essential.
‘My wife Cathy has been the key figure throughout my career, providing a bedrock of stability and encouragement. I would like to thank them all for a staggering level of professional conduct and dedication. ‘Their backing and Sir Bobby Charlton in particular gave me the confidence and time to build a club rather than just a team.
‘The Glazer family have provided me with the platform to manage Manchester United to the best of my ability. And I have been fortunate to work with a talented and trustworthy chief executive in David Gill.’
The move by Sir Alex to leave out Rooney – who was sold to United from Everton by Moyes in 2004 – has increased speculation that the striker could be on his way out of the club. Earlier this week Coleen was forced to take to Twitter to tell followers not to Tweet her but her husband if they had a query about his next move.
She wrote: ‘My husband has a twitter account…So tweet him not me!!’
Fiona Dolman is used to being involved in relatively dramatic plotlines playing a headmistress in Midsomer Murders. But it seems Fiona Dolman’s personal life is equally as intriguing as she has revealed she is now pregnant after a brief relationship with a younger lover. The 43-year-old’s news comes after she secretly split from her husband of 13 years Martin James Curry and in an interview with Hello! Magazine, she reveals she plans to raise the baby alone.
The former Heartbeat star said she had feared she would miss out on motherhood after her 13-year marriage ended. In an interview with the magazine, she said the pregnancy was unplanned and admitted the prospect of being a single parent was ‘daunting’. But after suffering several miscarriages the actress said her unexpected pregnancy was a ‘gift’.
‘It’s obviously quite daunting to start this journey unplanned and on your own,’ she said. ‘Separating from my husband, I felt the chance of being a mum had kind of gone. It’s a terrible grief when you think that something that you so wanted to happen never will for you. ‘Then this happens and, yes, it’s not perfect, but you can’t treat it as anything other than a gift. It feels like fate – I’m lucky, so, so lucky.’
Fiona said she had split from her husband, who is an assistant director, in 2011 but had only told close family and friends about the separation. The pair worked together on the ITV1 drama Heartbeat and Miss Dolman had previously spoken about her desire to have children, but she suffered a series of miscarriages. She did not name the father of her unborn baby, but the pair were understood to have had a short relationship before she learned she was pregnant.
The actress said she had previously lost hope of becoming a mother as she was already 42 when her marriage ended. She said: ‘At 42 it was something I’d given up on, really – with our marriage ending I wouldn’t have planned on having a child. ‘You do the calculations and think: “Right, well, that’s an avenue that’s kind of closed for me and that’s OK.” Then life had a different plan.’
Miss Dolman, the Scottish-born daughter of a retired RAF pilot and a former model, joined the cast of Midsomer Murders in 2011. She had previously played solicitor Jackie Bradley in the Sixties police drama Heartbeat, where her former husband Mr Curry was an assistant director. An audience of 15million watched as she married screen husband PC Mike Bradley, played by Jason Durr in the Yorkshire-based show. Speaking about the end of her real-life marriage, Miss Dolman said: ‘We’d known each other for 15 years and [were] married for 13 of those. ‘There was no nastiness, just the realisation that you want something to work but it just doesn’t and it’s run its course – and that’s terribly sad.’
A pregnant Fergie ignored the usually conservative dress code to attend church in Beverly Hills, California, on Sunday. Well at least she was covered up. With husband Josh Duhamel by her side, the Black Eyed Peas star went for a sexy rather than maternity look. As if declaring ‘I’m pregnant but I’m still hot!’ the star confidently strode into church in leather pants and high heels. And these were not just any leather pants. Despite having to sit in church for a few hours, the 38-year-old ignored comfort and donned skin tight red leather pants that left nothing to the imagination.
Cropped to the on trend above the ankle length, the singer showed off her sky high white heels. Fergie covered up her bump in a wild abstract printed white T-shirt with a suit jacket, which the star rolled the sleeves up of revealing a contrasting striped fabric. The star gave her look a eccentric edge by accessorising it with a pair of Steam Punk welder metal sunglasses.
Her best accessory was of course a single pink carnation that may have been a gift for her husband on Mother’s Day. Josh dressed far more low key for their visit to the Good Shepard Catholic Church – Fergie was raised Roman Catholic. The 40-year-old wore blue jeans, a green plaid shirt and a pair of boots. The next time they head to church may be for their child’s christening.
Fergie has just a few months to go until the birth of her first child. The couple have already been preparing for their new addition’s arrival and Josh said after years of people asking when they would have children, the timing is finally right. He told People Magazine: ‘Now I get to relive my youth through my child and see my child live all that.
‘So everybody’s got a different path. I wouldn’t change anything. We’re completely happy. ‘We’re much wiser than we were 10 years ago. We’re much more ready. ‘I think we’re so strong as a couple and all of those things are really important when you bring a little one into the world.’
Alec Baldwin only yesterday appeared to let his short-temper loose on his pregnant wife in public. But it seems Alec Baldwin was feeling the love for Mother’s Day on Sunday as he treated mother-to-be Hilaria Thomas to a romantic picnic in a New York City park. Perhaps 55-year-old Alec was feeling rather apologetic, as he and his 28-year-old wife looked to be in much better spirits as they laughed and poked fun at each other.
The couple, who married last June, were dressed casually but attractively for the sunny outing. Fun With Dick And Jane star Alec donned grey trousers, a black zip-up sweater and leather shoes. But his wife Hilaria undoubtedly stole the show in a casual but chic black figure-hugging dress, showing off her growing baby bump. A light black cardigan, basic flip-flops and silver earrings completed her Mother’s Day ensemble. Her dark tresses were pinned back and her face was framed beautifully by a pair of sunglasses.
The It’s Complicated actor was in charge of transporting goods in a plastic bag, which later turned out to be picnic goodies. The destination was a park bench by a picturesque lake in the sunny park – there, the pair set up a picnic lunch. As a mother-to-be, surely Mother’s Day held exciting significance for the stunning Hilaria.
The playfulness and love between the Alec and Hilaria was plain to see, and a very welcome change from the previous day’s anger. They were joined by their two fluffy pooches for the outing, who happily snoozed in the sun and enjoyed cuddles with their owners. As the couple relaxed by the water they snuggled up to one another affectionately.
At one point, the 30-Rock actor lovingly cosied up to his pregnant wife, only to be intercepted by their attention seeking pooch. Yoga instructor Hilaria smiled and laughed as the pair appeared to share a joke, teasing her husband and poking at him. The couple announced that they were expecting their first-born in February this year and the baby – a little girl – is due in the summer.
But it wasn’t all love and happiness, as during the walk to or from the park, the notoriously short-tempered actor seemed to almost lose it again. Alec appeared un-enthused when he noticed they were being watched, poking his head around with a slightly grumpy look. Hilaria was on on the case as she held her husband back with her hand, probably eager to prevent anything from ruining their day out.
On Friday, the couple were spotted standing on the street, with Alec facing her and gesturing with his hands while Hilaria stood with her hands behind her back. The yoga instructor appeared upset as she turned her face away from her husband while he continued with his tirade. A friend of the couple told the New York Daily News that Alec was simply expressing himself in normal conversation. ‘There was absolutely no issue,’ between the pair, said the insider.
