Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up with Valentina Beli an exceptionally talented Belarusian Fashion Supermodel, Handbag designer and Influencer, here she talks about her fitness routine, her diet, skincare, hair care, and her success story.

Namita Nayyar:

You were born in Belarus and later moved to the city of New York to work as a model. You took a part in fashion shows for famous designers like Chanel, Gucci, BCBG, Burberry, Raoul, Reed Krakoff, Karl Lagerfeld. This propelled your modeling career to the height where you have been at the top of the world of fashion and glamour modeling. Tell us more about your journey of hard work, tenacity, and endurance?

Valentina Beli:

I’m afraid to say that I’m at the top of the fashion industry. There are always up and downs. But i am grateful where I am right now. My journey was not very easy but it was an interesting experience. I started to model in Indonesia 10 years ago and I was able to do it across the world including Paris, Milan, Germany, China, and the USA, my final destination.

I think the hardest work is to stay positive after multiples “no” per day, just to hear this one “yes” later. It is hard to love yourself and truly believe in yourself. It’s hard to not build your self-estimation on the opinions of other people. It is hard to be the biggest fun of yourself (disclaimer: but you must 🙂

Namita Nayyar:

It is a dream for a model to feature in Vogue. Elaborate more about this amazing and inspiring journey with this Iconic Magazine?

Valentina Beli:

The team makes the art for Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, and other publications. You can be amazingly gorgeous but you can’t do anything without a good team: stylist, photographer, makeup artist, set designer, etc. I am grateful to meet so many talented people on my journey. And of course, it’s a miracle moment to see your face and your body in the most prestigious magazines.

Namita Nayyar:

You are a world-leading media personality, supermodel, influencer, Handbag designer, and brand ambassador. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?

Valentina Beli:

It is not easy to manage all those roles that I’m playing. I work non-stop. If I have any break, I answer work emails (even on my way to the shoot). But I am so happy that life gifted me with so many opportunities. And I use all of them 🙂

Namita Nayyar:

What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?

Valentina Beli:

I like squats! I can do it even at home. But the most effective is to exercise with weight. I like deadlift as well. And it’s important to stretch out the body before and after a workout.

Namita Nayyar:

Do you take a special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Valentina Beli:

I don’t like the word “diet”, I would say I’m following a healthy lifestyle. The rule is simple: more proteins and good fat, fewer carbs, sugar, Trans fat and processed food. And a lot of water!

My usual “food routine” consists of salmon, nuts (unsalted), eggs, sometimes meat, fresh veggies and fruits (just a little bit, it’s still sugar), cheese, coffee, and water.

I eat sweets and chocolate, sometimes even burgers but I moderate it. If you are fully strict with your diet, your energy, your mind would be concentrated on those restrictions. Instead to think “ I can’t let myself a piece of cake”, think “I can treat myself with dark chocolate”. Give your brain a fake choice. Don’t ask him “do you want a cake or a salad?” Ask him “do you want a Tuna or Cesar salad”? And be careful with dressing and sauce, they have about 50% of the calories. Try lemon juice instead.

Basically, it is a bit challenging to describe a lifestyle in a few words. But I would recommend having a consultation with a psychologist and nutritionist first if you have any food disorders.

Namita Nayyar:

You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Share with us your hair care and skincare routine.

Valentina Beli:

Oh thank you so much to give me a compliment about my skin and hair. It means a lot to me. I suffered from severe acne, I have large pores and oily skin. I visited so many doctors hoping to find the solution for clear skin. Nothing works. Then I decided to educate myself. I have been learning about skincare routines and regimes since 2012. I discovered so many methods and ways how to improve your skin glow and health. And I decided I can do it professionally. I am attending a beauty school in New York right now and I hope to help many people, hopefully from next year.

And about hair, I was lucky to be born with good hair. But I tried my best to damage it lol. Full-time modeling and healthy hair don’t really go together. But I would recommend using professional hair shampoo and conditioner, eat more “good fat” food like salmon, nuts, avocado, eggs. Also, I would recommend getting a blood test to understand what microelements or vitamins you would need right now.

Namita Nayyar:

You go to different countries for your professional career, like Paris, Milan, Berlin, Barcelona, Beijing, Dubai, Moscow, and New York. For a model adjusting to new countries with their own cultures, it must be difficult, and then to adjust with modeling career in the new foreign land, what advice you can give to fellow models in a similar situation?

Valentina Beli:

Oh it’s the best time in your career: you are young, full of energy, passionate about modeling! Just enjoy a new culture, try to understand it, stay open-minded. It is a good life adventure and probably it won’t repeat. So enjoy a moment.

Namita Nayyar:

You have walked the runways for the world’s finest fashion designers and brands namely Chanel, BCBG, Kenzo, Karl Lagerfeld, and more. You have also appeared in editorials for magazines including L’Officiel, Harper’s Bazaar, and Grazia. Tell us more about your experience working for them and how these professional achievements have acted as a motivator to further your professional career as a supermodel and also as a catalyst to achieve spectacular heights in modeling?

Valentina Beli:

Thank you! Of course, those big names in the industry helped me a lot. First of all, I was able to get a Green Card based on my modeling achievements. Secondly, I have a good lifestyle and wealthy life in the USA and I pay for it by myself, from my modeling earnings. For a girl born in a poor family in a small hometown near Europe, it is a huge achievement. And I’m grateful every day for all those opportunities.

Namita Nayyar:

Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion model girls, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in the field of modeling?

Valentina Beli:

The best advice is “be yourself!” It’s so easy to cheat yourself, to change your soul chasing your dreams. Remember: modeling is just a job. It should take about 30% of your life, not more. Love, family, friends, health, education should be constantly with you. If you ever sacrifice your health to fit someone’s standards it will not be back. If you ever betray your love, your partner, modeling will not warm up your night time.

Namita Nayyar:

You have done bold photo shoots with SNC Magazine, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Amica, Cosmopolitan, Clara, Vulkan, Trend Prive, Fashion TV magazine, New York guide. How you are so body confident and advice to your compatriots?

Valentina Beli:

It’s simple 🙂 practice, practice, and again practice. I have thousands of pictures in my portfolio, thousands of clients, and jobs behind, but I’m still doing new test shoots and practicing new poses, angles, and concepts.

Namita Nayyar:

Tell us more about your endeavor Kopf Handcrafted Bags.

Valentina Beli:

KOPF bags are our beloved project. The idea, design, and production belong to my husband Alex. Alex creates and handcrafts every single detail of the bag. It’s more about art so far, not about money. We were published in prestigious magazines and covers. KOPF brand is represented by art galleries like Saatchi, NOT JUST A LABEL, and others.

But we have plans to make the production faster and more affordable but not sacrificing the quality and a handmade basis.

Namita Nayyar:

How do you train your abs? One secret to your toned body.

Valentina Beli:

Thank you so much. Honestly, I’m not doing anything special for my abs. I guess we have different fat depots. And if you have less fat in some areas, your trained muscles are just more visible. Some people have a toned body, but muscles can be covered with fat and swelling. That’s why bodybuilders limit their carbs before any competition. The body will look more toned. Carbs and the lack of water will provoke swelling.

Namita Nayyar:

Five foods you absolutely love and five you keep to a minimum.

Valentina Beli:

I love seafood, sushi, salmon, good croissants, nuts. And I would prefer to stay hungry rather eat fast food.

Namita Nayyar:

Five skincare myths.

Valentina Beli:

Oh I can tell even more. Okay, let’s start.
