Cheesy Chick Pea Barbeque

Instructions :   

  • Heat the butter in a frying pan; add the crushed green chick peas and saute for two minutes. Add the mashed paneer, chopped chillies and ginger, salt and grated cheese and mix well.

  • Shape the mixture into kebabs and thread onto skewers.

  • Grill over charcoal or in a preheated, medium - hot oven till crisp and brown.

  • Place on a serving plate and sprinkle with the mixed masala. Serve hot, with lime wedges, onion rings and spring onion greens.

Ingredients :

  • Butter: 3 tbsp

  • Soft, fresh green chick peas (hara chana): 250 g , half crushed 

  • Cottage cheese, mashed: 200 g

  • Chopped green chillies: 2 tsp

  • Finely chopped ginger: 2 tsp

  • Salt to taste 

  • Grated cheese: 50 g

For The Mixed Masala:

  • Black pepper powder: 1/2 tsp

  • Cummin seeds: 1 tsp , roasted and powdered 

  • A pinch of mace (javitri) powder 

  • A pinch of cardamom powder 

  • Paprika: 1 tbsp or chilli powder 

  • Dry mango: 1 tsp (amchur) powder

To Serve:

  • Lemon wedges 

  • Onion rings spring greens, chopped
