Zhanna Striano: World’s Hottest Russian Model & Professional Bikini Competitor Reveals Her Workout Secrets

 

Zhanna Striano is a Model, Actress, Dancer, Bikini Pro Athete ANBF WNBF ( INBF), Professional bikini competitor and NPC competitor. She took part in fashion shows in Russia. She had done photo shoots with different photographers. She has been a model for Couture fashion week September 2013, 2014 and other fashion shows. She has been filmed in a background in Martin Scorsese movie – Wolf of the wall street. She is also a Belly dancer and a Pole dancer.

She graduated school with a medal and studied Law at Bashkir State University Ufa, Russia belonging to Class of 2009 and passed with red diploma, that means she had almost only A’s in her diploma. In university she participated in all kind of events from dancing and singing to working in a law firm of her professor. She compets in Physique championships in US. She is one of the owners of Soho lounge in Brooklyn.

She also did kickboxing at Lions Fight with Vahe Sahakyan, a five time world champion super heavy weight in kickboxing. And it is her favorite type of cardio.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You were born at Ufa, Bashkir Republic, Russia. You participated in all sport events at school and later took physical education at University. You also studied law at Bashkir State University. When in US you were encouraged & motivated to compete in fitness competitions. You reached the pinnacle of success by becoming a ANBF WNBF ( INBF) Professional Bikini Athlete. Tell us about your journey that took you to the the world of fitness and in Professional Bikini competitions?

Ms. Zhanna Striano:

Yes I am ANBF WNBF ( INBF) Professional bikini athlete. I do bikini professional competitions. As you already mentioned I was into sports during my entire life but I was never doing sports on a professional level before. Since I moved to USA I am doing boxing, kickboxing, training in the gym. All these activities were my hobbies. Lately I decided to take my hobbies to another level : I took a trainer for weight training who started preparing me for bikini competitions.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

How your experience and background of many years in Professional bikini competitions and being a ANBF WNBF ( INBF) Professional bikini athlete has helped you in carving your present profession of being a fitness model, actress and a dancer?

Ms. Zhanna Striano:

My first bikini competition was at the end of last year, I got my Pro cards this summer – so I don’t have many years of experience in Professional Bikini competitions.

I always was into modeling and dancing but better physical shape is obviously a huge plus in these professions. Lately my modeling themes moved into fitness direction. Also with this sporty shape I enjoy rocking those bikini fashion shows and beach photo shoots.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Share your exercise routine that you do to maintain such a bikini perfect physique?

Ms. Zhanna Striano:

The secret is in shocking your body. One day I do many reps with small weight in order to get a pump, another day I can go heavy on compound movements or add some plyometric exercises. Glutes are very important for bikini competitor that’s why hip trust, squats, deadlift and sumo deadlift are exercises that you can’t skip.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

What is your diet? Do you take a particular fixed regulated diet comprising of nutrients and vitamins to keep you in perfect health?

Ms. Zhanna Striano:

My diet is not fixed. I am just sticking with healthy foods and healthy cooking. I grill and bake instead of frying food, I pick lean meat and fish instead of fatty meat. When we talk about diet for athletes we should definitely pay attention to complex carbohydrates. That’s why it is very important to increase in your diet the amount of such products as brown rice, buckwheat, barley, quinoa, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta and decrease the amount of sweets and deserts.

My diet varies from off season period to competition period. During my preparation for competition my diet is much more strict. I exclude all dairy, nuts, fruits, red meat, sweets.

My ratio mostly consist of chicken, fish, avocado, vegetables and only complex carbs. As an athlete I take BCAA during training in the gym, hydrolyzed protein right after training and casein before going to sleep.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

What is your motivation to take a multi-faceted personality of a fitness model, professional bikini competitor, personal trainer and nutritional expert ?

Ms. Zhanna Striano:

Yes I am a professional bikini competitor. I always been an active person that’s why I enjoy having different jobs. I am an entrepreneur – I am one of the owners of the restaurant, I do fitness modelling, catwalk, little acting, kickboxing. We should always keep ourselves busy, learn new skills, develop our abilities, be active and enjoy life.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?

Ms. Zhanna Striano:

Thank you for the compliment. To keep skin clean and shiny I do facials at beauty salon and use Guinot skin care products at home. During competition prep because of strict diet, lack of vitamins and intense training your immune system and hair become weaker, you might even loose your period for couple months. That’s why it is important to take vitamins. For hair I would recommend Viviscal, Nutrafol or Nioxin. Also L’occitane has great shampoos and products to indulge your body.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Fitness modelling is about bold photo shoots. What advice you wish to give to the women of today to be body confident in order to do such bold modeling?

Ms. Zhanna Striano:

My advice would be simple : you were working so hard in the gym, you were sweating, you were pushing yourself to the limits now show them what you got! Be confident in yourself!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding professional figure competitor girls and fitness models who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to ladder of success in field of professional figure competitions and in fitness modelling?

Ms. Zhanna Striano:

Hard work and dedication are really important in achieving any goal. Moreover believe in yourself, don’t give up and step by step move to your goal. I would also recommend not to go crazy with dieting on preparation period. Increase your cardio, do High Intensity interval training ( HIIT) but don’t exclude complex carbs from your ratio. The amount of complex carbs that you can have during your prep time depends on your metabolism.

Tell us how you felt before and after being a runway model for Couture fashion week 2014?

Ms. Zhanna Striano:

I was doing catwalk for Fashion shows back in Russia that’s why I already had some experience in this world of beauty but walking for various designers at Couture fashion week was really exciting moment for me.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Who has been your biggest influence and motivation in your path to success?

Ms. Zhanna Striano:

Who?….. me and my trainer (Nigel Akpabio). I was thinking of start competing long time ago but lately I had extra free time that’s why I decided to go for it. I found a good trainer and new friends with the same sporty interests who keep motivating me.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Tell us about a memorable experience you still remember about one of the Fashion shows that you wish to share?

Ms. Zhanna Striano:

At each fashion show some small incidents happen. Girls faint during interview for TV, loose their shoes on stage. Once half of my friend’s dress fell on stage. She gracefully picked it up and carried like nice accessory.
