Ms Namita:

You started at a very young age of nine years playing table tennis and reached the pinnacle of success by winning Balkan Champion in Mixed Doubles, a two time Yugoslavian Singles Champion and the Mediterranean Doubles Champion. What factors do you consider were responsible that made you achieve that?

Ms Biba Golic:

My father was my coach and mentor so I always wanted to do my best because he dedicated so much time to help me improve. I think that I had a little bit of talent and a lot of determination to be the best player from my country.

Ms Namita:

What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?

Ms Biba Golic:

Jump Roping, Running and strength training are the primary exercises I use to stay in shape when I am training. Table Tennis training especially multiple is very taxing physically.

Ms Namita:

How did you feel before and after your memorable win at Mediterranean Doubles Champion?

Ms Biba Golic:

Anytime you win a major championship it is memorable. That was especially memorable to me because I had won a major championship outside my native country. It is a privilege and great responsibility when you represent the National team, and when you manage to succeed and win it is an unbelievable satisfaction and motivation.

Ms Namita:

You moved from Serbia to Germany and then to US. For a player adjusting to new countries with their own cultures it must be difficult and then to adjust your playing habits and style, what advice you can give to fellow sports person in a similar situation?

Ms Biba Golic:

When you want to be the best many times you have to leave your comfort zone including the comfort of home, friends and family. The move to Germany was the first time I lived outside of Serbia. The training was really hard; it helped prepare me for my transition to America.

Ms Namita:

You have won Balkan Champion in Mixed Doubles, a two time Yugoslavian Singles Champion and the Mediterranean Doubles Champion and numerous other awards. How you remain so humble and lovable? Success has not made you the least arrogant and proud which is mostly with all the celebrity stars?

Ms Biba Golic:

I have been very lucky in my life and I am quite thankful for that. I don’t take my good fortune for granted and don’t believe that being truly successful and being arrogant go together.
