A healthy, low-fat, runner-friendly diet should always include plenty of antioxidant-rich, carbohydrate-loaded fruits and vegetables. If you consume a total of about 2,000 calories a day, you should aim to eat at least three vegetable and two fruit servings daily. If your daily intake is closer to 3,000 calories, your goal should be five vegetable and four fruit servings.

See Into The Future

You're half way through your goal, but find it hard to continue. Think about the end of your goal, the time you finally accomplish your task. Think about how great you'll feel, how happy you'll be, and how much better off you'll be. Remember the main reasons you started in the first place. You have to see the picture in your mind. Close your eyes and put yourself weeks, months, or years into the future.

This will help to keep you focused on your goals. Having a clear picture of where you are going to be will keep you motivated during the time in between. Peep into the past, and look to the future, and you will find the motivation to keep going for today.

Top 10 Activities for Home Workout

Getting in shape seems to be more of a challenge these days than ever. With busy schedules plus the expense of a gym membership, its no wonder so many people never make it.

There are many ways to get a proper workout without having to spend major amounts of money or blow 3 hours of your day away. Just do it at home! As long as you have a carpet or mat-like floor surface, a few household items, a neon spandex leotard, and a body, you can construct a top-notch exercise routine.

This workout can be done in 10 minutes. For a great 20-minute workout, run through it twice. Or, you can do it once in the morning and once before dinner. Exercise is cumulative, so every little bit adds up.

Here are the 10 activities you can try at home for a great workout :

  • Start with your kitchen chair to warm up. Sit down and stand back up. Do this for one minute.

  • Start climbing the stairs one step at a time. Go up and down 8 to 10 times. If you don't have stairs, use a small step stool. Position it next to a wall so you can place your hand on the wall for balance. Step up and down on the stool (up with the right foot and then up with the left foot, down with the right and then down with the left) for one minute.
