Ok, I am a mother of three, recently having given birth to twins last summer. I am '5,9" and 145-150 lbs. I exercise at home....mostly abdominal exercises. I also run if the weather is permissible, which during the winter...isn't. I want to be in absolute great shape and feel good about my body. Hi, I just had my first baby in April 2006. I had to have a c-section, I was 166 lbs and wearing a size 18 jeans and now I am down to 133lbs and I can fit into a size 7 to an 8. I am still having problems with my stomach though. it is still rather doughy. My jeans do fit when I'm standing up but when I sit down I have this roll of fat that sticks out. I HATE it so much! Hi. I'm 47, 5'1 and about 50 pounds overweight. I was thin even after having my four children until about 10 years ago when it began to creep on. I have always had a "tummy" even when I was seems to run in my family. My aunts and my sister who have never had children or been overweight even have "pots". I am working on it all now with diet and exercise and have begun to lose. My concern is that my abdomen is so loose and flabby, all the way down to and including the entire pubic area. I am so self-conscious that it has all but destroyed my sex life with my husband. And then there's my butt... or rather the absence of it. I, like my mother before me have noassatall syndrome and though I quip it is very disheartening. What little tiny bit of cheek there may have been at one time it sags to a teeny point right at the center at the lowest area so it sort of pulls the muscles around my anus down and it all looks horrible! (even discussing it here is difficult) I hate my body from just beneath my breasts to just above my thighs. I can't even look at myself in the mirror. I'm not totally negative, though; really. I have great breasts and they're real, I have a very pretty face and look about 10 years younger in the face than I actually am. (that too runs in my family). I have great hair (thick and curly-ringlets, not course) and I have great legs and pretty feet. So I have a lot going for me still but I need to know what to do about my belly and my butt??!! And also, once I lose the weight will I still have a pudgy pubic area? This is just gross! I can't believe that any amount of exercise will help enough. Is plastic surgery going to be my only.

Gosh, I thought I was alone with my belly fat. I am 5'2", lost 3 1b in 4 weeks on 1,100 cal per day, healthy, balanced diet. Though my weight varies during the day by, I am currently 130 lb. the trend is very slowly downward which is pleasing but my tummy is fatter than ever. Crunches don't do a thing. I am 43, no children, so no excuses about childbirth being to blame. Its a comfort to read all the posts about this and I have total sympathy for everyone struggling with belly fat. I had my gall bladder removed when I was 20. I was so skinny in high school. Everything went downhill after the surgery. After having 2 kids it has been worse for me to be able to get a flat stomach. Anyways, I used these tips before I realized that everyone though I was thin. I'm at a healthy body weight, and I realize that I don't need to lose weight. But..

  • Remember, vinegar is good. One of the best things going. If you have a salad, use vinegar! Ranch dressing, and other dressings are high in fat and are very unhealthy.

  • Exercise EVERYDAY.


  • DON'T OVER EAT! Take away little food a day! Take away from your daily intake! Your body will then become used to that, and then you will more than likely lose some weight.

  • DON'T LISTEN TO THE WEIGHT SCALE! If you listen, and exercise everyday, then you will increase your muscle size, and muscle weights more than fat!

  • Listen to the measurements of your waist instead.

  • Good luck, and stick to this.

Like almost everyone here has belly and love handle problems, so do I. I know what I should eat and I know that I need to exercise more. I am pretty active for the most part, but I just can't seem to stop craving sweets. If I allow myself to have a little, I want more and give in. If I don't let myself have it, I want it more and give in again. How do I not give into the cravings or control them? Hey, I'm 13 5'2 and I way 230lbs....I really want to lose weight and keep it off. My blood pressure is high as well, and I get out of breath really easy, but have not been told I have asthma. People make fun of me because I'm fat because I'm in middle school and that's how kids act.
