Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar had a candid interview with Bella Baez, Maxim featured Model where she talks about her workout, diet, hair & skin care, beauty secrets, and success story.

Namita Nayyar:

A healthy morning ritual that you follow every day for glowing skin and healthy body?

Bella Baez:

I stay hydrated, drink tea, and eat healthy meals and workout on a regular basis. I also make sure to take time to pray, meditate/practice yoga and write in my gratitude journal. My ritual to keeping my skin glowing starts on the inside. I am truly thankful for life everyday no matter the circumstances.

Namita Nayyar:

What motivated you to join the modeling industry?

Bella Baez:

Share input about your first project. First and foremost my motivation has been to do what I enjoy. I was 15 years old when I booked my first print gig with a local fashion designer.  I recall having my makeup and hair done, followed by the photo shoot. That was when I first fell in love with being in front of a camera. I had a lot of reservations when I was younger because I had a strict father who prohibited me from being a model, in an effort to protect me from the dark sides of the business. I recall being deflated that my dreams of being a model were not an option. As a result I focused on obtaining my aestheticians license after graduating high school. I never imagined that after working as aestheticians for 10 years I would come full circle back to modeling in 2017 after my first bikini competition.

Namita Nayyar:

Share the best part of your job you enjoy as a model?

Bella Baez:

The best part of my job is being able to travel and work with photographers and stylists from all over the world. I truly enjoy being on set and creating.

Namita Nayyar:

Five exercises are an integral part of your workout routine?

Bella Baez:

Morning stretches that you practice? Any sport you like? Jump rope, sit ups, mountain climbers and weight training. My morning stretches incorporate yoga to help alleviate stress, increase flexibility and improve my athletic performance. My favourite sport is body building. I first discovered bodybuilding in 2017 and have since competed in 3 NPC (National Physique Committee) shows in the women’s bikini division.

Namita Nayyar:

Introduce us to a day in your busy life? How do you balance your routine as a model & an actress? You are known for Road to Rosarito (2020) how has the experience been.

Bella Baez:

When I’m not on set for a model or acting project I keep myself extremely busy with acting classes, rehearsals, and auditions. My day job as an aestheticians and yoga are my other passions. I balance my routine by practicing the things that I have passion for. I have made a routine in life to only focus on the things that truly fuel my soul.

And to be honest, I started feeling successful when I began living for myself and pursuing the things which feed my soul. To me, that is the definition of success. Sharing my life journey in the hopes of inspiring others is what I most desire to do. I was cast for Road to Rosarito in 2017.

I honestly didn’t think I would be cast for the project because at the time I didn’t have much acting experience. At the time I had only taken a few acting classes to help me with my modeling career. I was given a monologue to memorize, and I related to the circumstances of the character, so my audition was truly from my heart. I was thrilled to find out I had been cast! Shortly after that I decided to move to LA. In 2019 I enrolled in the Baron Brown Studio to continue to hone my craft.

Namita Nayyar:

Your meal before and after a workout? The secret to maintaining a slim torso. Three myths need to be busted?

Bella Baez:

My meal before a work out is usually carbs, lean protein and after is lean protein and green veggies. The secrets to keeping a slim torso is simple but takes a lot of determination….workout and diet…and then workout some more!  Myth #1: To stay in shape, you only need to work out once or twice a week.  While it is good to be active to truly stay at your best you have to work out and eat well consistently!  It’s like having another job.

Namita Nayyar:

Top three healthy snack options? One diet secret you would like to share?

Bella Baez:

My healthy snacks are almond butter on a organic rice cake with a sprinkle of cinnamon, raw organic almonds and Quest protein bars. While it is important to stay consistent I have to cheat every once in a while or I’d go insane!

Namita Nayyar:

Define Women Fitness for WF viewers.

Bella Baez:

Women fitness to me is strong warriors, go getter’s, hard workers who are ambitious and determined. It’s having the courage to be brave and allow yourself  to feel pain and be in touch with your emotions, to be broken through building yourself up to become the best version of yourself.  To do this you must fully accept your flaws while also loving yourself unconditionally. To me that’s a Queen, a true warrior.

Namita Nayyar:

Share your skincare & hair ritual you follow to look your best?

Bella Baez:

As for my skin, as you know I’m a licensed esthetician so I am very strict on my skincare routine. I use a balanced cleanser, tone with skin revitalizing Essence, followed by a serum C Radiance and at night I use eye smooth eye cream. All of the products I use are from Monat, which is all natural vegan beauty line I exclusively work with. Feel free to check all the products out on my website.

Beautybybellabaez.mymonat.com As far as my hair I’m very low maintenance but I do a deep conditioning with the replenish masque and use the Restore leave-in conditioner spray from Monat.

I also use the rejuvenate oil for my fly always. When I have an event to attend I call up my local Dry Bar where they make my hair look fabulous. My daily make-up routine is very simple, given my hectic schedule. When I need something special I call up my personal makeup artist who does wonders!

Namita Nayyar:

Bella Baez:

Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama and Denzel Washington because they are true examples of how anything are possible in life with hard work and dedication.  Arnold Schwarzenegger has also been a big role model for me in body building when I’m lacking motivation, as well as in acting.

Namita Nayyar:
