most notably, in the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Raised in the capital Asunción, she broke the national records for the under-17
age group in 1998 for both the javelin and triple jump. After winning bronze

Janeiro. She competed in Beijing Olympics in 2008 and London Olympics in 2012.
Franco combines her athletics with a career as a model and beauty pageant
contestant. In 2006 she was runner-up Miss Universo Paraguay 2006. She has taken

She may have finished 51st place in the javelin throw at the London 2012
Olympics, but Leryn Franco is still making her mark. The 30-year-old is arguably
more famed for her fantastic figure than her athletic ability, and is sometimes
referred to as the 'hottest Olympian'. And as she took to the beach in Miami on
Monday, it wasn’t hard to see why.
The Paraguayan beauty was enjoying a relaxing day soaking up the Florida
sunshine. She sported a mismatched two-piece which showed off her fit but curvy
form as she worked on her tan. Leryn teamed a lime green triangle top with a
pair of teeny tiny leopard print bottoms. After a day of sunning herself, the
gorgeous athlete was seen heading home hand in hand with a mystery man. Leryn
had slipped a rainbow-coloured kaftan over her bikini before leaving the beach.
The javelin thrower combines her athletics career with modelling and competing
in beauty pageants.
As well as appearing in Sports Illustrated, she was runner-up Miss Universo
Paraguay 2006 and competed in the Miss Bikini of the Universe pageant. Leryn
became famous thanks to the Olympic Games in Beijing, China in 2008. That year,
Leryn was reportedly the second most-searched Olympian, after Michael Phelps,
according to Yahoo.
