Marie-Andree Wallot: An Outstanding Visual Artist, CEO & Chief designer of Wallo Unveils her Passion for Style, Femininity & Fashion

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Who has been your inspiration and motivation in launching your own fashion label "Wallo"?

Ms. Marie-Andree Wallot:
The " who " is very simple, It is the woman herself. I find that lots of designers create their women's collection to fit a specific body shape that does not allow every woman to relate to. With time, a woman's body evolves and so does my collection. And I take pride in it.

With each and every one of my large-scale designs, initially hand-drawn, painted and the digitally finalized before being printed on stretch silk charmeuse, I created unique pieces, inspired by the women who will wear them. My creations exude liveliness and intelligence, through refined styles and bright prints. Creation, for me, is a very intuitive process. I love the freedom of movement and spirit, lines that come alive and emotion in its purest state. That is, namely, why I draw a lot of faces. The faces of assertive, strong and beautiful women - the faces of my philosophy.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
If you had to pick up your Top 3 favorites from Wallo's upcoming collection what would they be and why?

Ms. Marie-Andree Wallot:
1. Geneva Maxi Dress. Deep blue, flickering green, it is very stylish and blends perfectly in a formal evening.

2. Cannes Midi Dress. (Model picture) Fuchsia, wearing a brave and serene Asian woman's face. It is versatile as it can be wear day or night, with or without trousers, with or without an obi style belt.

3. Macao Kimono Vest: Night blue, mauve, anthracite, this is the perfect blend between comfort and elegance.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words for our inspiring and budding designers who all are your fans, what should they do for their climb to the ladder of success in the field of visual arts and designing?

Ms. Marie-Andree Wallot:
My top 7 recommendations:

  • To look around and know your trend in world fashion
  • To go ahead and exploit what is unexploited, underrated or poorly done
  • To have an exhaustive market research
  • To gather the right experienced team of people and welcome them to challenge you to think outside of the box
  • To find your true-self in order to find your own style
  • To get inspired with what you see around you and find a way to re-invent what you see with your own perception and your unique vision
  • To work hard and not be afraid to start from scratch over and over until you are deeply satisfied that what has been accomplished exceeds even your own expectations.
