Ms. Namita Nayyar: You go to different countries for your professional career. For a model adjusting to new countries with their own cultures it must be difficult and then to adjust with modelling career in the new foreign land, what advice you can give to fellow models in a similar situation?

Ms. Megan Morewood: To be honest most of the time you fly in, you work and fly out. I miss out on actually seeing places I work except from the studio or location we’re shooting at. If you’re actually living and casting in another country it can be madness, London and New York are hectic because of the size but the transport links mean you can get anywhere any time.

Europe is very different and in the old days (before GPS on our phones) they would give you a map and send you on your way, some streets didn’t even have signs! The best tips I could give for being in an unfamiliar place is leave yourself plenty of time, take a hair and and a mini-kit of essentials: makeup, hairbrush, vest and flat shoes. I say mini as if you
don’t travel light your portfolio and all these things will wear you down and it’ll be noticeable in your energy levels going to castings.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You work in the media AS A model, actress, Freelance diet and nutrition consultant. How you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?

Ms. Megan Morewood: I think they go hand in hand really, it definitely helps with modelling to have an outgoing confident personality and acting is a big part of modelling too as you portray such different characters in each job and versatility is the key to success. Nutrition is something you cannot ignore as a model because you have to maintain a certain level of health to look and feel great with glowing skin and an admirable figure. I feel all of these things keep my mind and brain active, I’m also constantly educating myself which I love.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?

Ms. Megan Morewood: I like to constantly change it up to keep challenging my body so I like to do a mix of Pilates, boxing, weights, cardio and resistance training to keep me motivated and updated on new exercises.

Megan Morewood on WomenFitness: I think it’s a great place to pick up health, fitness and beauty advice. If, like me your constantly on the look out for exciting new tips or a bit of motivation for the day it’s the perfect place to find information you can rely on.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Ms. Megan Morewood: I mainly eat vegetables with some fish, occasionally white meats but pretty much gluten and cows dairy free. So quite alkaline, I don’t follow the alkaline diet strictly though as I love a glass of prosecco and sometimes the odd cocktail. I try to stay away from too much fruit and other sugars so will eat berries and nuts as a snack.

I believe very much in the 80/20 rule of 80% healthy and sticking to a clean diet and 20% treating myself to the things I love.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?

Ms. Megan Morewood: I just stick to a very low chemical, natural skincare regime and try to use organic products. The organic pharmacy have some great products and French skincare ranges like La Roche Posay and Avene are great too. I also don’t wear much makeup outside of work to let my skin breathe. I used to scrub my face so hard as a teen and I didn’t realise I was destroying all the natural oils my skin produced therefore my skin desperately tried to replace them, the skin was so damaged from all of the exfoliation too it just got worse and worse. I now only exfoliate every few weeks and use a gentle one as harsh ones are not good for the skin, it’s not about taking the top layer off, it also breaks capillaries too.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us about your experience of working as an actress on television and in commercials ?

Ms. Megan Morewood: This is my favourite, this year I’m focussing more on this kind of work as I feel very at home on set for filming. It’s usually a lot of waiting around but I never mind this as I’m so busy seeing how productions work. I was lucky enough to work on Fast and Furious 6 and Tyrese showed us all around the sets at the huge Shepperton
studios. He also into diced is to everyone and he and ‘Ludacris’ taught me how to play Uno.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion model girls, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in the field of modeling?

Ms. Megan Morewood: Be safe, research, don’t pay huge amounts for ‘professional’ photographs as the agency you’re going to see will look at you in person and take Polaroids then set you up with a reputable photographer. I always say run yourself like a business, this means look after yourself, eat well, sleep well and drink lots of water. Make the most of your days off or when things are quiet. Be productive and go to all of your castings!

Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us about your endevour “Wholeistic Nutrition”(http://wholeisticnutrition.blogspot.co.uk) ?

Ms. Megan Morewood: It’s something I wanted to do as I started giving friends and family advice on their diets and posting recipes on my twitter/Instagram. I got so much feedback so thought I’d put it all in one place for everyone.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have done bold photo shoots. How you are so body confident and advice to yor compatriots?

Ms. Megan Morewood: I’m not always 100% confident but the night before a shoot where I know my body will be in shot I will have a bath! Exfoliate and moisturise so my skin is nicely hydrated. Sometimes I will reapply moisturiser the next day before we start shooting to make sure everything looks healthy. You get to know your poses and what your best angles are and you just go with it. When you have a good photographer too it’s great as you can just bounce off of each other and that always gives me a buzz plus great music in the background.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: What do you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?

Ms. Megan Morewood: I think it’s a great place to pick up health, fitness and beauty advice. If, like me your constantly on the look out for exciting new tips or a bit of motivation for the day it’s the perfect place to find information you can rely on.
