Bar Refaeli the hottest woman alive:Maxim:Her Diet & Workout Secrets

– Reported, November 17, 2012

Maxim just named Bar Refaeli the hottest woman alive. She’s no fan of fad diets, loves to live a healthy lifestyle, and understands the importance of indulgences every now and again. In honor of Bar’s big news, we’ve rounded up some of her quotes on healthy living for your delight.
She says “”I would never go on some crazy fad diet or eat anything weird to get thinner — it is just not good for your body. Happiness is when you love who you are and you are able to accept yourself and others. For four weeks, do cardio every day, running. Watch what I eat, but not starve myself.” Well, I love food and I love feeling healthy so I do try to pay attention to nutrition, I think I am pretty good at it, but at least once a week I will have fries and a burger! I bike all the time in New York City. I bike for hours. I can bike for eight hours a day and just go everywhere with bikes. I don’t feel the need to be super-skinny, but being in shape is important. My trainer taught me all kinds of kicks and they work everywhere — your abs, your butt. My secret is living a healthy lifestyle . . . it’s really important because looking glamorous and looking sexy comes also from the inside, so if you eat healthy, if you work out, if you keep in shape; also having a sense of humor about life, taking things easy — it’s a big part of the way you present yourself.

“My beauty secret is living a healthy lifestyle,” Bar, 27, told UK Vogue. “It’s really important because looking glamorous and sexy comes from the inside. So if you eat healthy, if you work out, if you keep in shape you’ll look good.” Refaeli, who boxes, jumps rope, strength-trains and does cardio exercise and Krav Maga, has always insisted her main goal is to be fit and healthy–not a size zero.” I don’t feel the need to be super-skinny, but being in shape is important,” she said. “But even if I wasn’t in this industry I would still want to look after myself and be healthy and keep my body in good condition.” I would never go on some crazy fad diet or eat anything weird to get thinner. It’s just not good for your body.”

Bar Refaeli is perhaps one of the few models of today that can boast an extremely athletic figure, as well as the ability to eat whatever she wants and just work out a bit more to burn the extra calories. Models usually claim they don’t diet or starve themselves, attributing their skinny frame to good genes: far from doing that, in the latest Hello print edition (story via here), Bar advocates for a healthy lifestyle, stressing that confidence has everything to do with one’s approach to fitness.

As fans must know, this is not the first time that the successful model speaks of how she personally holds that every woman out there should approach the issue of her weight – and losing weight in particular – not in relation to what others say or do, but solely keeping in mind their overall health.

This is what she does, and she says it again in the interview with Hello magazine, where she explains how she only has to put in a little more effort in the gym if she wants to look good for a shoot or a fashion show.

From what Bar says, she’s the worst enemy of fad diets or the very idea that she might want to starve herself to drop a few pounds on a quick notice. “I don’t diet and I don’t have an eating plan, but I like to eat healthily. I don’t deny myself anything and there’s nothing I wouldn’t eat. I like desserts – I like food full-stop, but I exercise and I’m young, so everything keeps in check. I don’t feel the need to be super skinny, but being in shape is important. But even if I wasn’t in this industry I would still want to look after myself and be healthy and keep my body in good condition.” Bar explains.

So, instead of sticking to a diet all the time, Bar only has to worry before a fashion shoot or a show, where she’s supposed to look her best partly because of the unforgiving items she must don. To look super toned, the model intensifies her workouts in the period before the actual event and, if need be, also switches to salads and chicken for a short while, just to make sure she doesn’t look bloated from indulging in less healthy food. Another secret weapon that Bar uses to look this stunning is a glass of hot water with lemon each morning, which kick-starts her metabolism and cleanses her organism, as she puts it.

“I guess every girl has days where she feels good and days where she feels she could lose a couple of pounds, and it’s the same for me, I’m generally in pretty good shape, but if I have a major shoot or fashion show coming up and I want to look my best, then I’ll spend a little extra time working out or I’ll stick to eating salads and chicken for a few days. I would never go on some crazy fad diet or eat anything weird to get thinner – it’s just not good for your body.” the model further explains for the magazine.

Israeli stunner Bar Refaeli practices the martial arts-based practice called Krav Maga, If you thought she was fierce on your latest magazine cover, she’s even fiercer in the gym. The sexy supermodel, who looks phenomenal flaunting her trademark curves in the new fun and flirty 2012 Passionata calendar, has said, “I don’t feel the need to be super-skinny, but being in shape is important. My trainer taught me all kinds of kicks and they work everywhere – your abs, your butt.”

Don’t mess with this supermodel…or anyone else training with it, for that matter! Krav Maga, which translates from Hebrew to mean “contact combat”, is a fighting style originally used by the Israeli army and combines techniques from different styles of martial arts and boxing.

Bar Refaeli has given an interview to Hello Magazine about what she looks for in a man, how she doesn’t diet, and how she gets bored easily. In one part of the interview (that I didn’t transcribe), she goes on and on about her contract with Reebok, so I think that was the point of the interview – a little promotional duties. She’s trying to convince us that her figure comes from working out wearing Reebok! and not dieting herself into oblivion.

Bar Refaeli’s adds “I don’t feel the need to be super skinny, but being in shape is important. But even if I wasn’t in this industry I would still want to look after myself and be healthy and keep my body in good condition,” Bar says.

On working out before the Sports Illustrated shoot: “I always want to look my best on a shoot, or for a fashion show, so I do an extra couple of sit-ups the night before and I drink hot water with lemon to get my metabolism kick-started in the morning and to cleanse my system, but I don’t do anything crazy.”

“There’s nothing worse than forcing yourself to spend hours in the gym when you don’t enjoy it, so I do all sorts of things to work out because I get bored easily.

“I don’t diet and I don’t have an eating plan, but I like to eat healthily. I don’t deny myself anything and there’s nothing I wouldn’t eat. I like desserts – I like food full-stop, but I exercise and I’m young, so everything keeps in check.”

Bar denies dieting before a swimsuit shoot or Victoria’s Secret catwalk show, saying “I guess every girl has days where she feels good and days where she feels she could lose a couple of pounds, and it’s the same for me, I’m generally in pretty good shape, but if I have a major shoot or fashion show coming up and I want to look my best, then I’ll spend a little extra time working out or I’ll stick to eating salads and chicken for a few days. I would never go on some crazy fad diet or eat anything weird to get thinner – it’s just not good for your body.”
