Warning on “Oil Pediculocide Magic” in Argentina

The Ministry of Health of the Nation, through the National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT), reported that it has detected in the local market of unauthorized product “Oil Pediculocide Magic”, so recommends that people refrain from purchase and consume. The preparation has the following presentation: “MAGIC OIL pediculicide, Pine Resin 40%, Anthyllis 20%, 20% jarilla Root, Quassia 20%. Place 1 drop in his head and one in the neck for 4 days, then 1 time per week for 1 month. Do not swallow. ” ANMAT received a report whereby advising that the product, which contains a liquid yellowish inside, was being expended by the indication of which is suitable for the treatment of pediculosis. Conducted consultations, the agency observed that “does not have proper sanitary authorization, as there has been no prior registration of the same”.
