Twilight Stars dramatic weight loss for movie series unveiled.

– Reported, November 17, 2012

Actress Kristen Stewart, perhaps best known as playing the moody, vampire-craving Bella Swan in the “Twilight” movie series, contends that her slim frame is the result of naturally good genes, not a specific diet. She eats, in her own words, “disgustingly normally.” However, in a recent interview for PeopleStyleWatch.com, Stewart confesses having to go on a diet to portray Bella’s transformation into an ethereally-thin vampire for the film “Breaking Dawn.” While the reducing plan did not include working out like her uber-fit co-star Taylor Lautner, Stewart says she cut back on red meat and butter.

Viva Mexico
During an appearance in 2010 on the TV show “Lopez Tonight,” Stewart spoke of her culinary skills when preparing Mexican food, especially chili verde, which is pork simmered with tomatillos and green chilies. For an interview for Vogue Magazine in 2011, Stewart prepared a favourite Mexican Tortilla Soup for reporter Eve MacSweeney and the photography crew.

Twilight beauty Kristen Stewart, who’s dieting to slim down for Breaking Dawn, would love to wolf down a cheeseburger — but that’ll have to wait a few months.

“I want a cheeseburger so badly, but I have to be a vampire in a few weeks,” Stewart, 20, told the LA Times Oct. 20, 2010. So the lithe Kristen settled for a veggie burger over her lunchtime interview.

While the 5’6″, 110-pound Stewart is hardly fat, she got a little flabby while filming the dark drama On the Road this summer because she indulged in fatty foods, smoked nonstop and frequently stayed up all night during the shoot.

After meeting with Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon, Kristen was advised to lose weight because her Twilight character Bella Swan becomes a vampire in the series’ fourth instalment, which begins shooting in November 2010. Like the dazzling Edward Cullen, vampires are known for their ethereal beauty, slim, elegant physiques and youthful appearance.

In addition to transforming into a vampire, Stewart’s alter ego also gets pregnant and has a baby in Breaking Dawn — a concept completely foreign to the young Kristen.

“My best friend just had a baby, and she’s my age,” Stewart, 20, marvels. “So I’m a good mom now, which is crazy.”

Achieving a great body for Kristen wasn’t easy – she has had to work incredibly hard in order to achieve a body like this. Not many women can say that they have ever achieved such a sexy body as Kristen, but that’s probably because not many women were prepared to work as hard as she did in order to achieve it. Although, nobody really knows what her exact exercise regime; you can definitely bet that a lot of her work comes from yoga exercises that really tone her body up and prevent her from putting on any weight. Kristen is really slim, so alongside that, she may undergo one or two different types of cleansing diets to ensure that her body is always free from bad cells.

Actress Ashley Greene was up to the challenge. To play the part of vampire Alice Cullen—kin to Kellan Lutz’s character Emmett and the brooding Edward (Robert Patterson), as well as loyal pal to the object of Edward’s desire, Bella (Kristen Stewart)—she had to sculpt her 5’5″ frame into a lean, mean bad-guy-fighting machine. (Find out if any of the men of Twilight made the cut for our slideshow of the Hottest Bodies in Hollywood.)

“My body holds muscle really easily, and I tend to bulk up [if I’m always lifting] weights,” says the 25-year-old Jacksonville, Fla., native. So while filming the movie, she focused on cardio, squats, and planks during her daily hour-long interval sessions.

“I did side planks for my oblique’s, which are one of my trouble areas,” she says. “And traditional planks tone your back so you don’t have that little bit of fat hanging over your bra. Ugh!” Ashley even inspired squat contests among her female co-stars (“I’m a competitive little sucker,” she says with a laugh). She did add in a couple of non-traditional weight moves: working with kettle bells and pushing a big box filled with weights across a room.

“My butt and legs were so sore!” Clearly, this is not a woman who’s obsessed with counting her ribs, like so many starlets seem to be.

“A lot of people like to be super tiny, but I don’t want a child’s body—I want a woman’s body that is extremely fit. It’s so much sexier,” she says.

Between flicks, Ashley keeps her body tight and her mind calm by doing Pilates or running three to five miles, three to five days a week.

“You put on your headphones and go off into your own little world. If you’re running outside and you have a beautiful view, you have this sense of being free,” says Ashley, who jogs in a nearby canyon or on a treadmill at home in L.A.

Author Stephenie Meyer, who wrote the best-selling “Twilight” book series, showed off her incredible slim-down at the Los Angeles premiere of “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” on Nov. 12, 2012.
Meyer, 38, stunned in a body-hugging silver and grey fishtail floor-length skirt topped with a belted black shirt that highlighted her slender waist.

While Stephenie hasn’t spoken publicly about her dramatic transformation, “Twilight” franchise screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg credited simple diet and exercise for Meyer’s unbelievable weight loss.

“Honestly, watching what she eats, and exercise [is her weight-loss secret],” Rosenberg told the L.A. Times last year. “Diet and exercise. And she looks fantastic.”
Meyer, who has made a cameo in each of the “Twilight” films, made a concerted effort to slim down for the wedding scene between Edward and Bella (Robert Patterson and Kristen Stewart) in the 2011 hit, “Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” She has since continued to lose weight, and looks healthier and fitter than ever.
