Ineta Radevica: Exceptionally Talented Latvian athlete World Bronze Medalist in the long jump Reveals her Success Mantra "Be consistent in everything you do"

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You was born in Krāslava, Soviet Union. You must have had keen interest in sports early in your life. You are a Latvian athlete. You won two NCAA championships, while competing for the University of Nebraska. You reached the pinnacle of success at the 2010 European Championships where you won the long jump event with a new Latvian record of 6.92 meters. What factors do you consider were responsible that made you achieve that?

Ms. Ineta Radevica:
I was born in a family of athletes, my mom was my first coach. I was raised on the track and since I was little I imagined myself standing on the podium dressed in the national uniform with the medal around my neck proudly listening to the Latvian anthem. I believe today it is called the visualization... to win the gold was my childhood dream and I followed it with love and passion for athletics and jumping.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?

Ms. Ineta Radevica:
What I really like to share is the philosophy of needing no gym to exercise. To work with the weights under the supervision of the coach is important if you are a professional athlete but if you are a person who wants to feel and look healthy all you need is a room with a chair or a bench. I do set of ten exercises daily in my bedroom ( such as lunges, crunches, push-ups, toe touches, sguats and so on) and go for a 30 minutes run 3-4 times a week and if I do not feel like running I go for a tempo walk.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Ms. Ineta Radevica:
I did when I was professional athlete. I ate small meals often. Now I choose to have healthy breakfast, balanced lunch and I like to share my dinner plate with my family and friends. I go easy on the food and eat clean in the evening and when I do so I get a great night sleep, and I really enjoy looking in the mirror in the morning and that feeling of healthy appetite when I sit down at the table for breakfast.
