Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up with Grace Arzuza an exceptionally talented model, entrepreneur, content creator, and a recognized figure in the fitness and healthy lifestyle industry; here she talks about her fitness routine, her diet, and her success story.

Thank you so much for joining us today. You are a true force—a model, entrepreneur, content creator, and a beacon of wellness and intentional living. From representing Colombia on the global stage to building a community rooted in authenticity, you have an incredible story. Let’s dive into it.

Namita Nayyar:

Your modeling journey started at a very young age. What first drew you to the industry, and how did those early experiences shape the woman and professional you are today?

Grace Arzuza:

I started modeling when I was very young, around the age of 12. At first, I was simply fascinated by the world of fashion, beauty, and photography. But as I grew older, I realized that modeling was teaching me much more than how to be in front of a camera. It taught me discipline, confidence, resilience, and how to handle both opportunities and rejection. Those early experiences helped me understand that true professionalism is not only about how you look, but about your attitude, your commitment, and the way you treat people.

Namita Nayyar:

You represented Colombia in the Miss World Colombia pageant. That is a significant platform. What was the most valuable lesson you took away from that experience—not just about the industry, but about yourself?

Grace Arzuza:

Representing Colombia was an experience I will always carry with me. The most valuable lesson was understanding that representing something bigger than yourself requires responsibility, preparation, and authenticity. It also taught me that beauty can open a door, but your character is what allows you to remain in the room. I learned to trust myself, to believe in my preparation, and to understand that every stage of life brings its own definition of beauty.

Namita Nayyar:

You have transitioned from the traditional modeling and pageant world into a multifaceted entrepreneur and content creato

. Was there a specific moment or turning point that made you decide to pivot and diversify your career?

Grace Arzuza:

For me, it wasn’t one single moment. It was a gradual realization that I didn’t want to be defined by just one thing. Modeling gave me a platform, but I wanted to use that platform to create, build businesses, share my experiences, and connect with people on a deeper level. As my life evolved, so did my interests. Entrepreneurship and content creation allowed me to express different parts of who I am and to create something that could continue growing beyond a photoshoot or a competition.

Namita Nayyar:

In an industry that often focuses heavily on external image, you have managed to build a brand around authenticity and resilience. How do you stay true to yourself in a space that can sometimes feel superficial?

Grace Arzuza:

I remind myself that the image is only one part of who I am. There is a woman behind every photograph, every campaign, and every social media post, with experiences, challenges, dreams, and emotions. I have learned not to measure my value through numbers, opinions, or appearance. I try to share both the beautiful moments and the lessons behind the difficult ones. For me, authenticity means not being afraid to evolve while remaining connected to my values.

Namita Nayyar:

You often speak about wellness, personal growth, and living an intentional life. What does “intentional living” mean to you on a daily basis, beyond the aesthetic?

Grace Arzuza:

Intentional living means being conscious about how I spend my time, where I place my energy, and what I allow into my life. It means choosing what truly matters instead of simply doing what is expected of me. Some days that means training and taking care of my body; other days it means slowing down, spending time with the people I love, praying, or simply giving myself permission to rest. For me, wellness is not perfection. It is learning to live in alignment with what truly brings you peace and purpose.

Namita Nayyar:

You have mentioned that true beauty is found in discipline and resilience. How do you cultivate that discipline without it becoming rigid or losing the joy in life?

Grace Arzuza:

I believe discipline should give you freedom, not take it away. I try to create habits that support the life I want rather than punish myself for not being perfect. Consistency is important to me, but so is flexibility. There are days when I train hard and days when my body needs something different. There are also moments when I enjoy a meal simply because it makes me happy. Discipline becomes sustainable when it comes from self-respect rather than self-criticism.

Namita Nayyar:

You also emphasize embracing every stage of life. In a world that often glorifies youth, how do you navigate the pressure to look or be a certain way, and instead celebrate where you are right now?

Grace Arzuza:

I have learned that every stage of a woman’s life has its own beauty. I don’t want to spend my present trying to recreate a version of myself from the past. I want to take care of myself, continue growing, and feel proud of the woman I am becoming. Aging is not something I want to fight; it is a privilege. I believe the goal should not be to look younger, but to look and feel like the best version of yourself at every age.

Namita Nayyar:

As a writer and editor in the lifestyle space, what is the most important message you hope your community takes away from your content?

Grace Arzuza:

I want people to understand that taking care of yourself goes far beyond appearance. Fitness, beauty, fashion, and wellness can all be beautiful tools, but the real transformation happens internally. I want my community to feel encouraged to believe in themselves, take care of their bodies, protect their peace, and continue growing. If something I share makes someone feel stronger, more confident, or less alone, then I feel that my content has a purpose.

Namita Nayyar:

Your physique is a testament to your dedication. What is your overall fitness philosophy? Are you more focused on strength, endurance, mobility, or a balance of everything?

Grace Arzuza:

My philosophy is balance. I love strength training because it has helped me build not only my physique but also my confidence and mental strength. At the same time, I believe movement should be enjoyable and sustainable. I don’t train simply to look a certain way; I train because I want to feel strong, energetic, capable, and healthy. My goal is to maintain a body that allows me to enjoy my life.

Namita Nayyar:

Can you walk us through a typical week of workouts? How do you structure your training to stay consistent?

Grace Arzuza:

I generally train from Monday through Saturday, depending on my work and how my body is feeling. I enjoy structured strength training and usually focus on different muscle groups throughout the week. I also incorporate daily movement into my lifestyle rather than relying only on my gym sessions.

Consistency is more important to me than having a perfect workout every single day. If I’m traveling or working, I adapt rather than completely abandoning my routine.

Namita Nayyar:

What is your absolute favorite type of exercise—the one that makes you feel the most empowered? And conversely, what is the workout you have to push yourself to do?

Grace Arzuza:

Strength training is probably my favorite because I love the feeling of becoming stronger and seeing what my body is capable of. It gives me a sense of empowerment that goes beyond aesthetics. The workouts that require the most mental push are usually the ones where I’m already tired or have a busy schedule. Those are actually the moments when I remind myself that motivation comes and goes, but discipline is what keeps you moving.

Namita Nayyar:

How does your fitness routine change depending on your energy levels, work schedule, or simply the season of life you are in?

Grace Arzuza:

I have learned to listen to my body much more as I have gotten older. My routine is not always exactly the same. When I have a demanding work schedule, I adapt the intensity and timing of my workouts. When I feel more energetic, I can push myself further. When I need recovery, I respect that too. I don’t see adapting as giving up; I see it as understanding my body and taking care of it intelligently.

Namita Nayyar:

We would love to know your approach to food. Do you follow a specific diet (e.g., low-carb, plant-based, high-protein), or do you prefer a more flexible, balanced approach?

Grace Arzuza:

I prefer a balanced and flexible approach. I prioritize nutritious foods and enough protein because I want to support my training and maintain my strength, but I don’t believe in living under constant restriction. Food is also part of enjoying life. I try to listen to my body and make choices that make me feel good, rather than following extreme rules.

Namita Nayyar:

What does a typical day of eating look like for you? Could you share an example of what you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

Grace Arzuza:

It varies depending on my schedule and training, but I generally like simple, nutritious meals. Breakfast might include eggs with a corn arepa and fruit. For lunch, I might have a protein such as chicken, fish, or meat with vegetables and a source of carbohydrates. Dinner is usually lighter, depending on how hungry I am and what my body needs that day. I don’t believe there is one perfect menu for everyone; what matters is finding an approach that is nourishing and sustainable for you.

Namita Nayyar:

We all have cravings! What is your guilty pleasure or favorite treat when you allow yourself to indulge?

Grace Arzuza:

I don’t really like calling food a “guilty pleasure,” because I don’t believe we should feel guilty for enjoying something. I definitely have moments when I want something sweet or simply want to enjoy a meal without thinking too much about calories. I believe balance means being able to enjoy those moments without guilt and then simply returning to your normal habits.

Namita Nayyar:

Beyond food, what role do hydration and supplements play in your daily regimen? Do you have any non-negotiables you take every day?

Grace Arzuza:

Hydration is very important to me, especially because I train regularly and stay active throughout the day. I also use supplements as a complement to my lifestyle rather than as a replacement for good nutrition. My routine can include things such as vitamins and other supplements depending on what I need at a particular time. I believe the foundation should always be sleep, nutrition, movement, and hydration, with supplements playing a supporting role.

Namita Nayyar:

You have radiant skin. What does your morning and evening skincare routine look like? Are you a minimalist or a multi-step enthusiast?

Grace Arzuza:

I believe consistency is more important than having an extremely complicated routine. In the morning, I focus on cleansing, hydration, antioxidant care, and, most importantly, sunscreen. At night, I make sure to remove makeup thoroughly, cleanse my skin, moisturize, and use targeted products depending on what my skin needs. I also believe that skincare is not only about products—it is about hydration, sleep, nutrition, and protecting your skin from the sun.

Namita Nayyar:

Can you name one or two skincare products you simply cannot live without?

Grace Arzuza:

If I had to choose, sunscreen would definitely be at the top of the list. It is one of the most important steps in maintaining healthy-looking skin. I also love a good moisturizer because keeping the skin hydrated makes such a difference in how it looks and feels.

Namita Nayyar:

Beyond the face, you clearly take care of your entire body. Do you have a specific ritual for body moisturizing, exfoliation, or treatments?

Grace Arzuza:

Yes. I try to treat body care as an extension of skincare. I moisturize regularly, especially after showering, and I like gentle exfoliation when my skin needs it. I also pay attention to areas that tend to become drier. For me, body care is a small daily ritual that helps me feel polished, confident, and connected to myself.

Namita Nayyar:

Your hair always looks incredibly healthy. What is your secret to maintaining its shine and strength, especially with styling and environmental stress?

Grace Arzuza:

My biggest secret is being consistent with care and not taking healthy hair for granted. I try to use good-quality products, keep it hydrated, and be mindful of how much heat and styling I expose it to. Professional treatments can also help, but I believe the real secret is giving your hair care consistently rather than only paying attention to it when there is a problem.

Namita Nayyar:

What is the one beauty or makeup tip that you swear by for looking instantly refreshed and put-together?

Grace Arzuza:

For me, healthy and hydrated skin is the best makeup. When the skin is well cared for, you don’t need to cover it with too much product. A little concealer, defined brows, mascara, blush, and a touch of lip color can instantly make you look refreshed. And never underestimate the power of confidence—it changes the way everything looks.

Namita Nayyar:

You are involved in several projects related to fashion, fitness, and lifestyle. Can you tell us about what you are currently working on and what excites you most about your entrepreneurial journey?

Grace Arzuza:

Entrepreneurship has become a very important part of my journey because it has allowed me to turn many of my passions into meaningful projects. I created a healthy lifestyle store, and I have also developed my own shapewear brand and a clothing brand, combining my love for fashion, fitness, and wellness.

More recently, I have been exploring the world of Colombian jewelry and emeralds, which is something that really excites me because of the beauty, history, and craftsmanship behind these pieces. I am also beginning a new chapter in my personal development journey, with the goal of becoming an ontological coach. I am very interested in helping people transform the way they see themselves, their possibilities, and their lives.

What excites me most about entrepreneurship is that it allows me to continue evolving. I don’t want to be defined by just one career or one title. I want to keep creating, learning, and building projects that reflect who I am and, hopefully, inspire other women to believe that they can reinvent themselves too.

Namita Nayyar:

Looking ahead, what does the future hold for Grace Arzuza Mendoza? Are there any specific dreams or goals you are still chasing—whether in business, writing, or personal growth?

Grace Arzuza:

I still have many dreams. I want to continue growing as an entrepreneur, develop my writing and editorial work, create meaningful projects for women, and continue expanding my digital community. But beyond professional achievements, I want to continue growing as a woman, as a mother, and as a person. I don’t have every detail of the future mapped out, and I actually like that. I want to remain open to the opportunities that life brings while continuing to work intentionally toward the things I believe in.

Namita Nayyar:

Ultimately, how would you like to be remembered? When people look back at your career and your content, what impact do you hope you have made?

Grace Arzuza:

I would like to be remembered as a woman who inspired others to believe that they can reinvent themselves at any stage of life. Someone who understood that beauty is not just about appearance, but about character, discipline, resilience, kindness, and the way we make others feel. I hope people remember that I used my platform for something meaningful—to encourage women to take care of themselves, believe in their worth, pursue their dreams, and never be afraid to begin again.

Grace, you are an inspiration to so many. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, your routines, and your vision with us today. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next.
