Grace Arzuza Mendoza: Colombian Model, Fitness Influencer & Entrepreneur

August 27, 2026 By Namita Nayyar (Editor in chief)

Namita Nayyar:

You also emphasize embracing every stage of life. In a world that often glorifies youth, how do you navigate the pressure to look or be a certain way, and instead celebrate where you are right now?

Grace Arzuza:

I have learned that every stage of a woman’s life has its own beauty. I don’t want to spend my present trying to recreate a version of myself from the past. I want to take care of myself, continue growing, and feel proud of the woman I am becoming. Aging is not something I want to fight; it is a privilege. I believe the goal should not be to look younger, but to look and feel like the best version of yourself at every age.

Namita Nayyar:

As a writer and editor in the lifestyle space, what is the most important message you hope your community takes away from your content?

Grace Arzuza:

I want people to understand that taking care of yourself goes far beyond appearance. Fitness, beauty, fashion, and wellness can all be beautiful tools, but the real transformation happens internally. I want my community to feel encouraged to believe in themselves, take care of their bodies, protect their peace, and continue growing. If something I share makes someone feel stronger, more confident, or less alone, then I feel that my content has a purpose.

Namita Nayyar:

Your physique is a testament to your dedication. What is your overall fitness philosophy? Are you more focused on strength, endurance, mobility, or a balance of everything?

Grace Arzuza:

My philosophy is balance. I love strength training because it has helped me build not only my physique but also my confidence and mental strength. At the same time, I believe movement should be enjoyable and sustainable. I don’t train simply to look a certain way; I train because I want to feel strong, energetic, capable, and healthy. My goal is to maintain a body that allows me to enjoy my life.

Namita Nayyar:

Can you walk us through a typical week of workouts? How do you structure your training to stay consistent?

Grace Arzuza:

I generally train from Monday through Saturday, depending on my work and how my body is feeling. I enjoy structured strength training and usually focus on different muscle groups throughout the week. I also incorporate daily movement into my lifestyle rather than relying only on my gym sessions.

Consistency is more important to me than having a perfect workout every single day. If I’m traveling or working, I adapt rather than completely abandoning my routine.

Namita Nayyar:

What is your absolute favorite type of exercise—the one that makes you feel the most empowered? And conversely, what is the workout you have to push yourself to do?

Grace Arzuza:

Strength training is probably my favorite because I love the feeling of becoming stronger and seeing what my body is capable of. It gives me a sense of empowerment that goes beyond aesthetics. The workouts that require the most mental push are usually the ones where I’m already tired or have a busy schedule. Those are actually the moments when I remind myself that motivation comes and goes, but discipline is what keeps you moving.

Namita Nayyar:

How does your fitness routine change depending on your energy levels, work schedule, or simply the season of life you are in?

Grace Arzuza:

I have learned to listen to my body much more as I have gotten older. My routine is not always exactly the same. When I have a demanding work schedule, I adapt the intensity and timing of my workouts. When I feel more energetic, I can push myself further. When I need recovery, I respect that too. I don’t see adapting as giving up; I see it as understanding my body and taking care of it intelligently.

Namita Nayyar:

We would love to know your approach to food. Do you follow a specific diet (e.g., low-carb, plant-based, high-protein), or do you prefer a more flexible, balanced approach?

Grace Arzuza:

I prefer a balanced and flexible approach. I prioritize nutritious foods and enough protein because I want to support my training and maintain my strength, but I don’t believe in living under constant restriction. Food is also part of enjoying life. I try to listen to my body and make choices that make me feel good, rather than following extreme rules.

Namita Nayyar:

What does a typical day of eating look like for you? Could you share an example of what you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

Grace Arzuza:

It varies depending on my schedule and training, but I generally like simple, nutritious meals. Breakfast might include eggs with a corn arepa and fruit. For lunch, I might have a protein such as chicken, fish, or meat with vegetables and a source of carbohydrates. Dinner is usually lighter, depending on how hungry I am and what my body needs that day. I don’t believe there is one perfect menu for everyone; what matters is finding an approach that is nourishing and sustainable for you.
