Hot Fitness Tip

Every hour you spend walking may add 2 hours to your life, research suggests. Brisk walking can help trim your risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and depression. But while you walk, squeeze your glutes and engage your core to strengthen your muscles and cut your risk of injury. Try not to just walk forward from the thighs or hip flexors. Squeeze and step.

Keep your shoulders relaxed so your arms swing freely, and so your back and neck don't tense up. Keep your arms bent. Swinging them will propel you forward and help you move faster. Don't use hand weights. They put stress on your elbows and shoulders.

Words of Inspiration

Believe In Yourself

Many people underestimate the power of their own imagination. It is a divine gift meant for us to create with! Everything that surrounds us was once in the mind of someone who was daring enough to bring it into existence.

It is rational and logical to know that everything once existed in imagination before it became reality. An architect draws a rendering, blueprints, specifications, before the contractor can build the building. A computer has to be conceptualized in the imagination before it can be created.

Think positively. Think about what you ‘do’ want in your life rather than what you don’t have.

Meditate upon your desired outcomes in life. This is the only way you can have it.

And, you CAN have it if you practice positive thinking, positive attitudes, positive imagination and focused concentration.
