Just Fleshy






  • Pomfret- 300 gms (2 nos.);FISH DELIGHT

  • Soaked soyabean- 50 gms (1/2 Katori);

  • Green Chilli-1

  • Ginger Paste- 1/2 tsp

  • Garlic paste- 1/2 tsp

  • Coriander leaves- a few

  • Mint leaves- a few

  • Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp

  • Cumin Powder- 1/4 tsp

  • Lemon juice- 1 tsp

  • Salt and pepper- to taste

  • Banana leaves- 2

  • Cotton String



  • Clean fish; slice right through the bone. Apply salt and lemon juice and keep aside.

  • Pressure cook soyabean and mash them.

  • Grind coriander, mint leaves, chopped chilli, ginger paste, turmeric, cumin powder, salt and pepper. Mix with mashed soyabean.

  • Soften banana leaves by holding each over a low flame for a minute.

  • Spread soyabean mixture on both sides of the fish, place on a banana leaf and wrap like a parcel. Tie with a piece of cotton string.

  • Place the parcels in a steamer. Steam for 20 minutes or till done.
