Cheesy Spinach Cones


Introduction:

Spinach and potato cones with a mushrooms filling

Instructions :   

To prepare the filling:

  • Heat the butter, and onion, garlic, chilli-ginger paste and mushrooms. Fry for a minute, add the cheese, coriander leaves, salt, garam masala powder and pepper powder. Mix well and set aside. 

To prepare the cones: 

  • Mix the chopped spinach mashed potato, chilli-ginger paste, salt, garam   masala powder and cornflour. Mix to a dough.

  • Lightly grease your hands and take a little dough in your hand, shape into a triangle.

  • Place a little filling in the centre, and cover it with some of the potato dough, to form a cone. 

  • Dip in the beaten egg and roll in breadcrumbs. Deep fry in hot oil till crisp and golden. Serve hot.

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 bunch spinach, washed and finely chopped 

  • 250 g potatoes, boiled and mashed 

  • 1 tsp green chilli-ginger paste 

  • salt to taste 

  • 1/4 tsp garam masala powder 

  • 3 tbsp cornflour 

For the coating:

  • 2 eggs, beaten 1/2 cup breadcrumbs oil for frying 

For the filling:

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 tsp crushed garlic

  • 1 tsp green chilli-ginger paste

  • 8 mushrooms, chopped

  • 1/2 cup grated cheese

  • 2 salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped, salt to taste

  • 1/4 tsp garam masala powder

  • Freshly ground black pepper
